This thesis presents a system which has been implemented to satisfy a need in theresearch on how speech planning interacts with syntactic and prosodic structure inspontaneous speech. The long-term purpose of the research is to provide models forautomatic parsing of spontaneous speech and for psycholinguistical modelling of speechproduction. Identification of inhalation pauses is an important step in the developmentof automatic methods for spontaneous speech parsing.Identification of inhalation pauses is considered to be a keyword-spotting speechrecognition problem. Hybrid HMM(Hidden Markov Models)/ANN(Artificial NeuralNetworks) approach is applied to this problem. Method gets 90,8% in Recall, 66,4% inPrecision and 76,7% in F-score.

Produktframtagningen av en moduluppbyggd destinationsskylt för bussar utfördes på Högskolan i Skövde i samarbete med företaget Mobitec AB som bland annat säljer de skyltar som används i stadsbussarna i London. Den destinationsskylt som togs fram var tänkt att fungera som ersättare för de tryckta dukskyltar som var befintliga i Londons stadsbussar och var därför tvungen att leva upp till deras krav på upplösning och läsbarhet. Detta skulle åstadkommas genom att bygga upp skylten med ett modulärt system av Super Fine Pitch LED Matriskort. Modulsystemet behövde klara viss påfrestning från vibrationer från bussen och tillåta enskilda moduler att lätt monteras och demonteras. För att ta fram ett fungerande system användes riktlinjer för DFA och DFD och användarbehov från montörer och reparatörer undersöktes. Under idégenereringen användes Set-based concurrent engineering för att inte felaktigt vidareutveckla ej fungerande koncept på bekostnad av eliminering av fungerande koncept. Tre resterande, likvärdiga koncept modellerades och testades för vibrationssimulationer i Creo Parametric 2.0.

This report summarizes a Bachelor Degree Project in Integrated Product Development, carried out during the fall 2007 till spring 2008 by three students at the Product Design Engineering Program at the University of Skövde. The project was performed in cooperation with Lundbergs Möbler AB in Tibro. Lundbergs wants to start selling furniture to the public eldercare. The purpose of this project was to adjust one of their chairs. The project layout was to first make a preliminary investigation where the market, competitors? assortment and the purchasing process are studied.

Denna rapport behandlar ett examensarbete inom integrerad produktutveckling som utfördes av Andreas Carlsson och Marcus Ronnheim vid Designingenjörsprogrammet på Högskolan i Skövde vårterminen 2008. Examensarbetet var att utveckla Casall Sports Products viktskivor, viktlås samt viktställ för bodypumpviktskivor. Bakgrunden till uppdraget var att Casall tyckte att deras, redan nämnda produkter, var föråldrade och behövde ett nytt utseende samt att viktstället saknade vissa fördelaktiga funktioner. Rapporten beskriver hela produktutvecklingsfasen från förstudie till produktionsritningar.Under förstudien gjordes bl.a. en marknadsundersökning och användarintervjuer, detta resulterade i en kravspecifikation.

Lufttätheten hos en byggnad påverkar dess energiprestanda, luftkvalitet inomhus, ljudisolering och riskerna för fuktskador. Lufttäthet definieras i Sverige oftast utifrån klimatskalet, i enlighet med tidigare byggnadsregler och den svenska definitionen för passivhus. Däremot finns det idag inga specificerade myndighetskrav på lufttäthet i Sverige. I examensarbetet undersöks lägenheterna i ett flerbostadshus i Malmö. Förutom lufttäthetsprovningar enligt SS-EN 13829 gjordes en mottrycksmätning för att bestämma läckaget mellan två lägenheter.

Om uppgifterna blir för svåra eller för många, det vill säga om den mentala arbetsbelastningen blir för hög, går det inte längre att klara av alla uppgifter och prioritering av de viktigaste uppgifterna blir nödvändigt. Piloter behöver ofta ta in och bearbeta en stor mängd information under instrumentflygning. Ofta måste en del av uppgifterna utföras samtidigt och på begränsad tid. Syftet med examensarbetet är att, med hjälp av en subjektiv mätmetod undersöka vilka moment under instrumentflygövningar som medför störst respektive minst mental arbetsbelastning.

This report presents the results of a thesis in which the department PL Hus at Grontmij AB isstudied. The study has been done in order to locate problem areas in order to streamline andimprove the quality of working. The study was done by an engineering student from theDepartment of Industrial Management at KTH on behalf of Grontmij AB. The project extendedover a period of 20 weeks during spring 2011.In addition to the Department itself has two project managers in two different projects beenfollowed. The method used has been participant observation and was used to be able to comeclose to reality and thus find problem areas where there are opportunities for development.Validation was made through comments and opinions from workers at Grontmij AB, afterreading the reports analysis.Based on a system and holistic approach has parallels been drawn to the production systems suchas TPS (Toyota Production System) and lean production.

Detta examensarbete behandlar dynamiska vindkraftmodeller i simuleringsprogrammet Power System Simulator for Engineering (PSS/E) som används av Svenska Kraftnät vid analyser av det svenska stamnätet. Syftet med examensarbetet har varit att förenkla Svenska Kraftnäts hantering av vindkraftmodeller vid olika analyser av nya vindkraftparker som ska kopplas in på stamnätet. Detta gjordes genom att undersöka om dagens modellering av vindkraft, bestående av negativa laster och tillverkarspecifika vindkraftmodeller, kan ersättas av en generisk representation med de modeller som finns inbyggda i PSS/E. Rapporten ger en teoretisk beskrivning av vilka tekniker som används i vindkraften idag och hur de vindkraftmodeller som används i PSS/E är utformade. För de inbyggda modellerna i PSS/E har både vindkraftverk med dubbelmatad asynkrongenerator (DFIG) och vindkraftverk med fulleffektomriktare studerats. Resultaten visar att en generisk representation av vindkraftverk med DFIG kan göras med den inbyggda modellen i PSS/E med de parametervärden som finns rekommenderade i denna rapport. I den inbyggda modellen för fulleffektomriktare finns dock begränsningar som gör det olämpligt att använda en generisk representation för denna vindkraftstyp. Övriga slutsatser som dragits är att de inbyggda vindkraftmodellerna i PSS/E inte är tillräckligt flexibla för att fullständigt kunna representera ett dynamiskt beteende från en godtycklig tillverkare i händelse av ett systemfel..

The CASA-paradigm, Computers Are Social Actors, was introduced in the book "TheMedia Equation" by Reeves and Nass. One of their experiments concluded that we tend to be polite to computers in the same way as we are to people. In this study I have replicated Reeves and Nass experiment but instead of a text-based interface I have used a virtual agentin order to find out if we are polite to the agents, or still to the computer. Two experimental setups was conducted. The two setups had a common first part that was carried out on onecomputer with one agent.

This report is the result of a thesis at the company Sanmina in O?rnsko?ldsvik. The thesis is the final work at the mechanical engineering program at Umea? University.Sanmina has in 2015 launched an initiative to ensure that all sites are using LEAN principles and tools to enhance their business. As part of the plan for the LEAN-work, an LSS (Lean Six Sigma)-project has started to study the company's receivehall and inspection.

This thesis is carried out on behalf of watermixer manufacturer Ostnor AB in Mora.The thesis deals with the area of Article Bound Instructions (ABI) at the company'sassembly department, regarding the layout and management routines involved withthese instructions.In the current situation there are problems with no uniformity in the manner in whichthe ABI is written, then referred to both the civil structure, images and specificityrates in the text.Another problem is that operators do not make use of the ABI that are available inthe current situation, and that there are no clear procedures for who has theresponsibility to write, update and change these ABI.During this work has several people that were identified as key personnel of thethesis held in order to get a handle on how the current situation of the variousobjects of the work looks like, and to examine different desires about the future ofthese should look like from the different subjects perspectives been interviewed.During the work, a number of deficiencies, including that the current program that isused to write the ABI, Lotus Notes, do not possess near the prerequisites for being asimple program to deal with when writing the ABI, which is a condition since wishesare about to put the responsibility for the ABI generation to the departmentsoperators, since their main task is to assemble and do not bother with a program in acomputer.The result of this work has generated new layout and structure of the ABI, designedto be used continuously in the assembly for evaluation, routines regardingresponsibility of the ABI for the Department of Production Engineering (PT),procedures for how the ABI should be written regarding amount of detaileddescriptions in the text and use of pictures.In addition, proposals for further work and improvements has been developed basedon experience during the work and presented at the end of the report..

The databasecontains events from the start of Oskarshamn 1 in 1972 till present time.All nuclear power plants in Sweden are obliged to report any deficiency in theirbarriers and/or the defense in depth in obedience to SSMFS 2008:1.When a failure is detected or there is reasonable suspicion of a deficiency, the eventreport should be classified as a deficiency of category -1, 2 or 3 [1].The event reports are logged and archived in the register of SSM.
