ABSTRACTThe aim for this study is to examine how relatives to children who participated/participate in Youth and family team Sputnik-group, oriented towards support groups for children of substance abusing parents, perceive the work done by the organization. On the basis of this aim three questions were formulated: do the relatives perceive a change in the communication with the child as an effect of the child?s participation in Sputnik?s activities, do the relatives perceive a change in their relationship with the child as an effect of the child?s participation in Sputnik?s activities, do the relatives think that their awareness of substance abuse have changed following the child?s participation in Sputnik?s activities. Previous research, Mead?s perspective, the concept of ?groups? and support groups for children, were used to interpret the results.

I undersökningen har vi använt oss av några högstadieelever för att ta reda på hur olika gruppkonstellationer samarbetar inom problemlösning i matematik. Eleverna har svarat på en enkät där två rika problemlösningsuppgifter varit utgångspunkten för vår undersökning. Vår erfarenhet och hållning till problemlösning är att ett samarbete mellan eleverna och ett öppnare klassrumsklimat, där det matematiska språkbruket appliceras på ett naturligt vis, gagnar elevernas kunskapsintag. För ett relevant ställningstagande och en tillförlitlig analys, valde vi att utföra vår enkätundersökning på eleverna både individuellt och parvis. Resultatet av undersökningen förstärker redan befintlig forskning på området.

SET-metodens (Social och Emotionell Träning) syfte är att förebygga psykisk ohälsa hos barn och ungdomar. Teman är självkännedom, att hantera sina känslor, empati, motivation och social kompetens. Metodens grundare hävdar att metoden ger positiva resultat på psykiskt välmående, mindre användande av droger och alkohol och mindre mobbning och utåtagerande problematik.   Syfte med denna studie är att belysa lågstadiepedagogers (lärare och fritispedagoger) upplevelser av SET-metoden och deras arbete med metoden. Studien syftar vidare till att belysa pedagogernas upplevelse om vad metoden har gett för resultat hos elevernas vad gäller självkänsla och självbild.

The aim of this study is to create an increased understanding of shared leadership and how it takes shape in the relationship between first-line managers in human service organizations. Shared leadership is seen as a complement to the traditional one-man leadership and briefly means that two managers share the role that usually is held by a single leader. The study has a qualitative approach based on semi-structured interviews with managers in human service organizations. The interviews mention the mangers thoughts and experiences about shared leadership and gain approval in the hermeneutic science field. The study is analyzed based on symbolic interactionism where perspectives from the theoreticians Mead and Goffman are used.

It has been demonstrated in this study how people working in frontline jobs in service organizations are exercising ?micro power?. The use of ?micro power? is defined as ?to in ones professional role, without objectively defensible reasons, impose sanctions on a customer?. The interviewees are explaining their use of ?micro power? with mood, working conditions, and customers? behavior.

Inom den anknytningsteoretiska forskningen har individers interna arbetsmodeller avseende anknytning i tidigare studier undersökts via mer medvetna metoder, såsom Adult Attachment Interview (AAI; George, Kaplan & Main 1984/1996). I ett försök att nå mer implicita och automatiska representationer utav anknytning och även omvårdnad rekryterades 78 deltagare i syfte att undersöka hur olika individers skript för trygghet i detta sammanhang ser ut i jämförelse med deras interna arbetsmodeller för anknytning och omvårdnad. Två mätinstrument i form utav ett experimentellt reaktionstidstest utvecklat för undersökningen samt en berättelsekompletteringsuppgift (Story Completion Task; Waters & Waters, 2006) användes. En rad jämförelser mätinstrumenten emellan visade på ett svagt negativt samband mellan de två mätmetoderna, vilket föreslogs förklaras utifrån en påverkan från en majoritet otrygga individer med upprepade avvisande anknytningserfarenheter som tenderade att idealisera sina anknytningsrelationer. Denna idealisering antogs resultera i en försiktighet gentemot anknytningsladdade stimuli..

In 2002 George W. Bush held a speech where he classified six nations as being the main threats to American security, one of them being Syria, a state with a secular constitution, no resent offence towards the US, and with an improved diplomatic relationship to the US during the Clinton years.Being an ally to the Soviet Union during the Cold War Syria was forced to redefine its role in the region. Using neorealistc theory one part conlusion is the fact that the new Syrian leader, Bashar al-Hasad, in the early 21th century determined to set higher goals for the Syrian power ambition in the Middle East, threatened to destabilize the region and leave the US and its allies in a caotic situation.In the US, however, the new administration after 11/9 sharpened its tone towards states that did not cooperate in the new ?war on terrorism? or/and were likely to harbour terrorists. Syria was accused of doing both.

The period of church awakening in Sweden during the first half of the nineteenth century, has had a great influence on the Swedish society. During that time certain persons are to be noticed. Peter Fjellstedt and Peter Wieselgren, priests in the Swedish Church, are among those who were of special importance. But even the British preacher George Scott and later the Swedish layman Carl-Olof Rosenius became aware of the importance of networking. They all felt a call from God to preach a message of redemption and restoration.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how acquisition of film for children and young adults in public libraries is carried out. The aim is to investigate why the librarians think a library should have film, if the librarians are bound by acquisition policies and where they retrieve information about films. We also want to know where the films are bought, how the distributors are perceived and how the librarians see their own sphere of competence. The thesis is a qualitative study and is based on interviews with children?s librarians in six public libraries.

Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka hur förändring av material påverkar varseblivningen av objekt när formen lämnas oförändrad. Detta kan vara av intresse då spel med realistisk grafisk stil blir mer och mer högupplöst vilket samtidigt ställer högre krav på de grafiska utvecklarna att framställa verklighetstrogna material.Jag har utfört en kvalitativ undersökning med personintervjuer av sex personer. Dessa sex personer har fått se tre objekt där de fått definiera objektets syfte. Intervjupersonerna fick sedan se objekten med olika material där mina frågor haft som mål att få respondenten att motivera uppfattat material samt det uppfattade materialets egenskaper. De intervjuades motiveringar om objekt och material har jag sedan tolkat utifrån litteratur om psykologi, främst om kategorisering som George Lakoffs bok "Women, Fire, and Dangerous Things" (1990) beskriver.Min undersökning har visat att uppfattningen av textur kan förändra ett objekts syfte och funktion.

Fantasy literature has a rather strong position in countries with an English-speaking population but not in Sweden. The supply of fantasy in Sweden is much smaller than that in for example United Kingdom. Does this affect the Swedish readers of this genre? If it does, how does it affect them? The aim of this thesis is to find out how a few fantasy-reading students at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science get hold of the fiction they want to read and who and/or what influence their decision of which book to read. In order to avoid confusion we are also going to try to find out how they define fantasy since it varies from person to person what is included in the genre.

This essay focuses on the theory of classical realism from two points of views. Realism is often told to be quite immoral and cynical and only interested in the power relations among nations. In the first part I am arguing that this picture is wrong and should be revised. By using the ethical theories of deontology and utilitarianism I am arguing that both these perspectives can be used to analyse classical realism. By defining a value that should be guiding one can assert that realism is a good moral theory.

The purpose of this paper is to find out the staff's feelings and emotions in a HVBaccommodation where they work with unaccompanied refugee children. A HVBaccommodation is an institution that refugee asylum seekers come to in the beginning of their refugee process. To shed some light on this issue, a hermeneutic perspective has been used in the methodological approach of the work. The material gathered through interviews is collected from six supervisors at the selected accommodation in southern Sweden.The material based on the interviews is grounded in the supervisors' experiences, emotionsand feelings. Our result has been used as a foundation for the analysis of feelings andemotions based on three theoretical approaches: The total Department of Goffman (1973),socialization and the significant other Mead (1934), and the relationships and emotions atwork Hochschild (1983).

Med sto?d av bland annat Norman Faircloughs diskursteori och analysmetod samt Pierre Bourdieus sociologiska teoribygge om klass och smak sa? har jag valt att i tre na?ranalyser so?ka reda pa? hur olika deltagares utsatthet och klasstillho?righet gestaltas och hur programmens a?tga?rder iscensa?tts och ra?ttfa?rdigas. Uppsatsen so?ker besvara flera fra?gor som syftar till att a?ska?dliggo?ra de sa?tt pa? vilka utsatthet och klass manifesteras i programmen.

The focus of this master thesis is the library politics of the French Right wing party the National Front and the debate that followed the application of this politics. This qualitative study is divided into two parts where the critics to this politics represents one side and the adherents the other. The critics are composed by representatives from the French, Swedish and ? to some extent ? international library sector, while the adherent side is made up of politicians from the National Front and their adherents. The empiric material mostly consists of articles published in library, Right wing and daily press.
