Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att jag vill undersöka och försöka kartlägga reklamtecknaren och artisten Georg Dahlbecks liv. Hur var det att leva och arbeta som reklamman och konstnär i Sverige första delen av 1900-talet? Jag vill även titta närmare på det Georg ägnade så gott som hela sitt yrkesverksamma liv åt, nämligen filmaffischer. Hur var det att arbeta på den stora filmdraken SF? Hur såg deras produktion av filmaffischer ut? Jag vill även försöka svara på frågan om arbetsprocessen förändrades med tiden.Mina frågeställningar:Hur levde och verkade Georg Dahlbeck?Hur såg SF:s filmaffischer ut och hur tillverkades de?Förändrades produktionen av filmaffischerna på något sätt?.

In the following essay I have read the drama Natten är dagens mor (The Night is the Day's Mother) by Lars Norén. My main focus has been on the older brother Georg. By using post structuralist gender theories I have sought answers to the following two questions: How is Georg's masculinity constructed and maintained, when seen from a gender perspective? What power structures arise between Georg's and the other men's masculinities? In my analysis I have approached Georg via three perspectives. First, I have by the help of Judith Butler's theory concerning gender performative actions tried to define the men's gender codes.

AbstractJan Johansson: Georg Stubendorff, organist i S:t Jakob ? En musiker i stormaktstidens Stockholm och hans concerto "O Jesu dulcissime", [Georg Stubendorff, Organ Player in S:t Jacob's Church ? A Musician in Seventeenth Century Stockholm and his Concerto O Jesu dulcissime], Uppsala universitet, Institutionen för musikvetenskap, uppsats för 60 p, 2006.Georg Stubendorff, organ player in S:t Jakob's church in Stockholm 1663-1672, was one of the very competent foreign musicians that came to work in Sweden in the 17th century. The purpose of this essay is to contribute to the knowledge about him and about the conditions in general for church musicians in Stockholm during that era, and to present an edition of his Concerto a 3. It is shown that Stubendorff may have come to Stockholm from Livland, rather than Germany as earlier accepted. The Concerto a 3 is the only composition by Stubendorff that has survived (now in the Düben collection at Uppsala university library).

This paper addresses the question about what role typography plays in the interpretation of a text. From three different handbooks in typography arguments are gathered and categorized in to three categories: roman types, san serif and others. Interviews with people from the graphic design area are also a part of the paper and are accounted for in the discussion part of the paper. Areas of theory are a broad hermeneutic view based on Hans-Georg Gadamers thoughts, which have sub categories such as: Michel Foucault?s theory about discourses, John Swales genre theory and Anders Björkvall?s thoughts on typography and multi-modal texts.

The aim of this essay is to examine the relationship between picture and room, between wallpainting and architecture. The basis for such exploration is the mural painting in Sweden at the turn of the 20th century, and the artist in focus is Prince Eugen (1865-1947).His works "Sommar"(1904), "Rimfrosr"(1909) & "Staden vid vattnet"(1922) and the rooms in which they are in make for an anlysis concerning how the totality of the space is experienced by the viewer.The main issue in mentioned expeience is how the mural is perceived with regard to the other elements in the room. And here, the walls' "flatness" enhancing its decorative qualities plays in. The problem with a mural built on the principles of perspective becomes evident when a wall is seen to vanish through the painting of an illusion on it..

Syftet för denna kvalitativa undersökning är att utifrån individens upplevelse fördjupa förståelsen i vad som lockar och driver individer till storstaden och hur storstadslivet ter sig. Vald metodansats är hermeneutik vilket ger möjlighet att genom tolkning nå en ökad förståelse. Teoretisk ram utgörs av Georg Simmel och Marshall Berman. This paper relates a debate on a book Vetenskapen och förnuftet (1986) written by the Scandinavian philosopher Georg Henrik von Wright (1916 - 2003). The book brings up fate of mankind, raising the question if human rational thinking and scientific achievements are threatening our very existence on earth. Shortly after the book was published, it was intensively debated in a leading Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet. Some 20 leading politicians and scientists contributed with their criticism during spring 1987. The paper highlights this debate by writing reception history, describing how the book with its serious message was received by leading scientists of the time.

In this thesis I try to find ways to be more independent and conscious in my interpretation of the music which I am playing. To be able to be more sure of myself and my own decisions I try to find methods on how to achieve this. The methods includes reading articles about interpretation, interviewing musicians and interpret and perform music. The pieces I have chosen are a solosuite by Max Reger, a concerto by Georg Philipp Telemann and a clarinet sonata by Johannes Brahms. I made some concerts where I try to achieve my goals.

In this study I research and reflect on my way to embellish music from the baroque. I focus on Georg Phillipe Telemanns music. I work with embellishments in the second movement (Larghetto) from Solo X, Essercizii musici (Hamburg (1740)) for recorder and basso continuo (TWV 41:C5). I try diffrent versions to embellish this movement. I record these versions and enclose a score with all diffrent versions.
