I denna rapport har vi undersökt hur utvecklarna tagit hänsyn till användbarheten för slutanvändarna vid utvecklingen av ett säkerhetskritiskt system. Resultatet erhölls genom en empirisk fallstudie på två företag som utvecklar säkerhetskritiska system. Datainsamlingen bestod av intervjuer med personer som varit delaktiga i och har kunskap om utvecklingen av systemen som ingick i vår fallstudie. Sedan analyserades insamlad data mot teori inom Människa ? Dator ? Interaktion (MDI) samt teori om säkerhetskritiska system.

This thesis examines how knowledge management professionals use trust as a component in the creation of knowledge management systems, and what methods they use for building trust.Adopting a grounded theory approach, interviews with 8 knowledge management professionals active in different industries served as the base for an analysis that identified trust to be the single most important common factor in the data. The concept of trust used by the informants was identified as relating to the knowledge management system itself, rather than other users, employees or groups in an organisation.Building trust, the KM-professionals mainly focused on three methods: simple solutions, system superiority, and implementation security. Using these methods, the KM-professionals seek to ensure system trust by creating opportunities for users to obtain positive experiences of using the system, and thereby generate a foundation for a trust-based relationship between the user and the system..

The goal of this Masters thesis is to examine how people at the production department of Arkivator Falköping AB perceive the internal organisational communication transfer and exchange of information, by means of a communication audit. The objectives are also to characterise the communication climate and the respondents satisfaction with the internal organisational communication within the organisation. The results of the study are compared with the companys information policy and with previous research in organisational communication. Answers from different demographic groups within the population are compared. The communication audit was conducted using a modified and added version of a questionnaire originally compiled by the International Communications Association.

This report describes the development and implementation of a system for transmitting digital information at high speeds from a miniaturized submersible developed by the Ångström Space Technology Centre at Uppsala University. For instance, the vehicle shall transmit image data ? even stream live video - through an optical fibre to a monitor in a ground station. Hence, the system shall be used both to convert the image data to make it transmittable, and to recreate it at the receiver.The work includes a pre-study of the programming language and the technology used. A concept for the solution is presented together with main components later broken down into internal functions.

Denna rapport tar upp huruvida Wiki, som informationshanteringsverktyg, kan uppfylla de krav som finns på företags informationshantering idag. Syftet med arbetet är att utifrån teori och en mindre undersökning se vilka möjligheter och nackdelar som finns med verktyget för företag. En mindre intervjustudie med tolv informanter har genomförts på företaget Agda Lön AB. För att skapa en grund presenteras teorier inom Knowledge Management och Knowledge Management System, Kollaborativt- och kooperativt arbete, samt verktyget Wiki. Därefter redogörs den studie som genomförts. Vidare diskuteras de olika aspekter som framkommit under teori och empiri.

Lantmäteriet använder idag ett verktyg för fastighetsvärdering, detta verktyg består av ett system med spridd arkitektur för att lagra fastighetsdata och geografisk information. Studien syftar till att undersöka vad det finns för alternativa tekniker och lösningar för att integrera spatialdata och fastighetsdata i samma databas. The costs for hiring workers are increasing, which results in more cows per animal keeper. Sensors can then be a great tool for keeping track of animals which need special attention. With a reported decreasing fertility, sensors that can detect oestrus even at low levels can be especially helpful in bigger herds to pinpoint the cows that may be in oestrus. The number of farms with dairy cows that install AMS, Automatic Milking Systems, are increasing, and that also increases the need for sensors to control milk quality and composition when there is no visual control of the milk by a milker before milking starts.For the sensor data to be useful you have to have software designed to analyze and interpret the data to get relevant information that the farmer can use.
