Light Detection And Ranging (LiDAR) har under det senaste decenniet utvecklats mycket och används som datainsamlingsmetod vid inventering av skog. Lantmäteriet genomför mellan åren 2009 och 2015 en riksomfattande flygburen laserskanning över hela Sverige och den laserskanningen ska leda till en ny nationell höjdmodell (NNH). Data som genereras från denna höjdmodell kan nyttjas av skogsindustrin för att göra skogliga inventeringar. Programvaruutvecklaren Esri Inc. har utvecklat ett stöd för hantering av denna typ av data i deras nya version av ArcGIS, ArcGIS 10.1.

Fastighetsregistret (The Cadastre) is a large and important information sourcesupplied by Lantmäteriet (the Swedish mapping, cadastral and land registrationauthority). Fastighetsregistret provides geographical information about the 3.2 millionestates in use in Sweden. Fastighetsregistret has a large number of users who trustthat the provided data is reliable, but experience shows that the data can have varyingquality. As a user it is not always possible to access more detailed information inorder to assess to what extent the data in Fastighetsregistret is reliable.The purpose of this master's thesis is to investigate the possibilities of a system with agraphical user interface that present, classify and visualize the quality of the data inFastighetsregistret. The defined user group for this suggestion is internal users atLantmäteriet who have a good understanding of Fastighetsregistret.

Since the 1950s new laws on higher education have led to a ?mass education phenomenon? in Sweden. This has led to a surplus of people with a university degree measured against available positions on the labor market. As a result of that development it must be assumed that in this over qualified society it is not anymore the degree but additional factors which are decisive for getting a job. In this respect the importance of the class background for getting a jobb that is equal to once level of education shall beexamined.The research was carried out by means of a Quantitative Analysis based on data from anational database called Undersökningar av Levnadsförhållanden (Survey of LivingConditions).

TeliaSoneras driftcentral har ett stort behov av att snabbt samla in statistisk data från noder och kundanslutningar. Insamlat data används sedan för att felsöka och åtgärda olika problem i nätet. För att säkerställa den driftsäkerhet och kvalitet som efterfrågas så behöver ett av systemen vidareutvecklas. Applikationen som utvecklats ska förbättra insamlingen och lagringen av det statistiska datat för att snabba upp analyserna av kvalitet i xDSL-nätet. Kraven på applikationen är att insamlingen, konverteringen samt lagring ska vara horisontellt skalbara.

The aim of this paper is to study whether the way directioners (One Direction fans) on Twitter express self-understandings denote fandom as a sacred experience. For this purpose, the data was analyzed in relation to Nicholas Jay Demerath III typology of the varieties of the sacred experience. The method used was discursive psychology. The data was analyzed by how the fans draw the line between ?us? and ?them?, when expressing their self-understandings and their position in relation to others. Five themes were identified: (1) positioning and demarcation for membership, (2) group identity, (3) conflict, (4) the norms for behavior, opinions and language and (5) the group?s role and function.

Slåtterängen är en av Sveriges mest artrika marker. Artrikedomen uppstår genom att näringen i marken minskas. Detta sker genom att ängen årligen slås med lie eller slåtterbalk och sedan eventuellt efterbetas. På en slåtteräng finns värdväxter för mängder av insekter. Med tanke på den drastiska minskningen av ängsmarker som skett under 1900-talet, finns det risk för att många av dessa insekter dör ut i Sverige.Syftet med detta arbete är att ta reda på om och i så fall på vilket sätt riktade åtgärder för skötsel av ängar skulle kunna gynna den biologiska mångfalden.Jag har genom litteraturstudier tagit reda på vilka ängs- och betesmarksväxter som är värdväxter och / eller nektarresurser för fjärilar och vilken geografisk utbredning dessa växter har.

FlexRay is a new communication protocol which is fast, reliable and flexible and therefore can meet the increasing demands on data communication in the vehicle industry. The protocol is developed by an industrial consortium containing among  others BMW, Daimler Chrysler, Motorola and Phillips. Today (May 2009) Hägglunds is using CAN for data transmission in their systems. CAN is getting obsolete and has difficulties in coping with the increasing flow of communication. In this report FlexRay and its communication capacity is studied.

The aim of this study was to understand how evaluations are implemented and used in procured nursing homes for elderly. Our methodological approach consisted of a single-case study research. The case in this study was Växjö municipality. Three procured nursing homes for elderly were chosen in the municipality as examples of implementation and use of evaluation. The method for retrieving empirical data and the analyzing of it was based on triangulation.

Purpose: The aim of the thesis is to identify principles of valuation and to reach a solution for how Statens järnvägar can present their leased railroad vehicles in the future.Methodology: The authors have done a case study through a qualitative approach. Interviews have been done with Statens järnvägar, Näringsdepartementet and Riksrevisionen. Annual reports from Banverket and Luftfartsverket have been studied.Theoretical perspectives: The regulations that rule the authorities are a base for the study.Earlier researches done within the subject are presented in this section.Empirical foundation: The empirical foundation of this study consists of primary- and secondary data. The primary data is collected from the interviews that have been done, whilst the secondary data is composed of annual reports, regulations and various other documents.Conclusions: The authors have come to the conclusion that the method of valuation that Statens järnvägar choose, depends a lot on the vehicles hypothetical future. It is difficult to say that only one of the methods would be the correct one..

This master?s thesis was performed at PartnerTech AB in Åtvidaberg. It addresses the problem of managing test results obtained from testing electronics manufactured by PartnerTech. PartnerTech has developed a test system, called Tor, which performs tests on manufactured boards and stores the test results in files. The Tor system consists of both hardware and software part, where the software runs on an ordinary PC with MS DOS/Windows 2000.

Background: Suicidal patients feelings and experiences of the psychiatric service can be a decisive moment of the following treatment. Although suicide is a common problem all over the world we know very little about the feelings that the patients are feeling in residential psychiatric care. Purpose: The aim of this litterature studie was to describe suicidal patients feelings and experiences of the psychiatric service. Method: Literature study was conducted through a search of articles in different databases. The data has been done as an overview and the data has been analysed with content analysis.

In this master thesis we are trying to investigate whether the heads of the four major Swedish banks are receiving compensation because of their own performance. We have investigated a number of parameters in the reporting and compensation description of Handelsbanken, Nordea, SEB and Swedbank and compared it to macro data.We have used publicly available information from the banks as well as macro data from 1998 to 2009.We have come to the conclusion that the revenue and profits of the banks are heavily influenced by external factors and that there does not appear to be a clear link between a CEOs actions, the reported results for the bank, the shareholder gains and the compensation for the CEO. It appears as if the bonus payments to a CEO may depend more on parameters beyond the CEOs own control than the performance of the CEO..

Skolan skär ner på antalet idrottstimmar för eleverna, svenska folkets ohälsa ökar lavinartat, elevers betyg försämras i rasande takt och fetman ökar. Syftet med denna undersökning är att ta reda på hur fysisk aktivitet påverkar elevers betyg. Vi vill också veta om elever med höga betyg har ett speciellt förhållningssätt till fysisk aktivitet och vilka positiva effekter det medför. Vi har gjort undersökningen med hjälp av enkäter som vi har delat ut till slumpvis valda högstadieelever i Norrbotten och Västerbotten. En geografisk spridning på undersökningsgrupperna gör att undersökning blir tillförlitligare.

Driveability analysis of terrain data offers an important technique for decision support for all kinds of movements in the terrain. The work described in this report uses a high resolution digital terrain model generated from the laser radar data and further processed by the Category Viewer program, and information from the Real Estate Map. Properties of features found in a filtering process are calculated and compared with a set of rules in a knowledge base to get a driveability cost. This cost is then visualized in a graphical user interface. An evaluation of what driveability is and what it is affected by is performed, and a general cost function is developed, which can be used even if not all relevant information is available.

Forskning visar att personer med samtidig missbruks- och psykisk problematik är hårt utsatta, eftersom det finns stora svårigheter med att upptäcka, behandla och samverka kring problematiken. Arbetet är i Sverige idag generellt uppdelat mellan organisationerna kommun och landsting. De två organisationerna delar ansvaret och uppmanas därför att samverka. Syftet med examensarbetet är att förstå socialtjänstens och psykiatrins arbete med och samverkan kring personer med samtidig missbruks- och psykisk problematik. För att nå syftet har en kvalitativ metod använts i form av intervjuer med yrkesverksamma.
