A possible "discursive turn" is believed to have been observed within Swedish political science in later years. The purpose of this study is to examine whether or not such a turn has actually taken place, in order to further determine if a resulting theoretical homogeneity poses a risk to the ability of Swedish political science to identify and respond to its full width of possible research problems, and to determine its perspectives on both these problems and the results that are later communicated to the general society. To do so, the study poses the following primary research question:"Has a discursive turn occurred within Swedish political science?"This question is then broken down into two specified research questions."Has discourse analysis become a more common approach for doctoral dissertations in political science during the period of 2000-2013?""Have ideas corresponding with discourse theory become more common within doctoral dissertations in political science that are not pure discourse analyses during the period of 2000-2013?"These questions are then answered by examining all known 406 doctoral dissertations in political science published in Sweden during the 21st century up until (and including) the year of 2013, using two forms of content analysis, one manual and one computer-assisted. The study finds no clear evidence of a discursive turn in Swedish political science since the turn of the century.

Denna uppsats, som har sin teoretiska utgångspunkt i teorierna kring kommunikation, politisk kommunikation, genre och retorik handlar om den politiska bloggen och dess framväxande genre.Den politiska bloggen, kan sägas, fick sitt absoluta genomslag i Sverige under valrörelsen 2006. Politiker och dess anhängare bloggade dagligen och fick parallellt med de traditionella medierna ett genomslag som kan karaktäriseras i att de fick ytterligare en mediekanal att driva politisk kommunikation på. Vårt syfte med denna studie är att försöka förstå den form som den politiska kommunikationen på den politiska bloggen utgör. Hur ser kommunikationen ut och finns det några specifika kännetecken som kan karaktärisera just den politiska kommunikationen på den politiska bloggen? Målet är att kunna utforska den till synes framväxande genren och dess beståndsdelar samt att se vilka retoriska drag som genomsyrar den politiska kommunikationen inom den politiska bloggen och dess sfär.

Although research on gothic fiction has given limited attention to children?s fiction, the last two decades have witnessed an increasing interest. To date the focus has been mainly on English literature with a recurring tendency to define children?s gothic fiction as a text corpus separate from gothic fiction in general. As a result, children?s gothic fiction has become isolated and is not considered as part of the gothic genre, neither the literature nor its adaptations.The aim of this study is to view children?s gothic fiction as an integral part of the gothic genre.

The main purpose of this thesis is to investigate the possibility to communicate messagesrelated to sustainable development through cultural works. Culture is here synonymous toliterature or, more specifically, the fiction genre. According to ecocritical research, this genrehas the capacity to contribute to a more sustainable development and is therefore interestingto analyse from an environmental point of view.The novel selected for the study is Vips så blev det liv - eller en hyllning till blågrönalgen(2010), written by the Swedish author Bob Hansson. The analysis is mainly focused on howthe book?s climate related messages are formulated and integrated in the story.

Back problems are well noticed in horses, especially in horses used for riding. Kissing spines (impingement of the dorsal spinous processes) are often found at radiographic examinations of the thoracic spine. Kissing spines is a radiological diagnosis, indicating that parts of at least two adjacent dorsal spinous processes are in contact with each other. It is not uncommon that horses without clinical signs of back problems have some degree of kissing spines. It is therefore not sufficient with a radiographic examination to say that the cause of pain is kissing spines.

The local wind band in Lilla Edet, Lilla Edets Musikförening, springs from work and activities in the late 19:th century. Since then, the band has developed from a brass sextet to mixed wind band. It has been an appreciated contribution to the society on festive occasions. Yet, it seems like the band more and more has lost it´s useful purpose. Also, the recruiting of new members has ceased, as the music school has trouble with attracting pupils to learn to play wind instruments.The reasons for this reduced interest are more then one.

This essay analyses the existence of a literary tendency in Sweden the last decade, which shares many similarities with magical realism. The study includes the work of three writers: Majgull Axelsson with Aprilhäxan; John Ajvide Lindquist with Hanteringen av odöda and Låt den rätte komma in; and finally a short story of Alejandro Leiva Wegner, ?Elixir?.Focus for this work is to expose how these writers use supernatural events/people as a strategy to create a new identity and to effect social criticism, strategies that are common to magical realism.The aim of this work is therefore to clarify generalities about magical realism as a genre and give it a place in Swedish literature and in a changing Swedish society. Furthermore this essay defines a unique term for the genre as adapted to the Swedish reader and with some characteristics of its own: ?övernaturlig realism? (supernatural realism)..

This thesis is based on a conversation about gender identity and the pronoun hen in an episode of the radio programme Tendens on Swedish public radio, P1. The participants of the conversation are a scholar and a journalist/show-host. The goal of the research has been to analyse how the conversation is constructed from its context and which topics that occur. The goal of the research has also been to analyse how the participants of the conversation position themselves and how the conversation composes and re-composes norms and values regarding gender identity in society. Critical discourse analysis, completed by Conversation analysis has been the theoretical and methodological approach.

Denna studie har som syfte att undersöka vilka textgenrer förskollärare i förskolan erbjuder barn samt hur förskollärare tänker beträffande valet av dessa texter. En variation av textgenrer bidrar till barns språkutveckling. Genom observationer och intervjuer på två förskolor och med fyra förskollärare undersöks frågeställningarna. Resultatet visar att förskollärare erbjuder barn i förskolan flera olika genrer. Alla slags textgenrer som beskrivs i studien finns representerade utom den argumenterande genren även om de olika genrerna förekommer i olika grad.

Syftet med min uppsats har varit att undersöka mitt författarskap, dess litterära språk och plats i den samtida litteraturen, genom att analysera min novell ?När hedningen kom till byn?.Undersökningen består av översikter över de genrer jag tycker min text passar inom: magisk realism, norrländsk litteratur och skräcklitteratur; undersökning av författares verk som har influerat mig och varit representativa för den genre de skriver inom; mina kurskamraters och handledares reaktioner och konstruktiva kritik på novellen.Resultaten av genreundersökningarna visar hur jag använt eller inte använt mig av respektive genres olika särdrag och markörer samt hur min text förhåller sig till dess samtida författare. I undersökningen av skrivprocessen framgick textens styrkor och svagheter.Mina slutsatser är att genrebestämningen av novellen är beroende av med vilken blick man väljer att läsa texten. Jag upptäckte också att jag delvis följer de traditionella skrivmönstren inom respektive genre samtidigt som jag har min egen särprägel och ton samt sätt att framställa en text..

Den här studien syftar till att visa hur Åke Holmberg och Astrid Lindgren gör för att ackommodera läsarens uppmärksamhet från en genre till en annan genom en genreanalys av Kati i Amerika och Skuggornas Hus. Genom en berättarteknisk analys avser jag även att undersöka hur ett genreinslag kan användas för att kompositionellt motivera övergången till ett inslag inom den andra genren. Båda romanerna har en berättarperson som också deltar i handlingen men frågan är om de båda romanerna ger samma intryck av äkta sceniskhet?Analysen av Kati i Amerika och Skuggornas Hus visar att Holmberg och Lindgren kombinerar två olika genrer var, som går parallellt i romanernas handlingar. I studien kommer jag fram till att författarna använder den ena genren för att kompositionellt motivera den andra genren och tvärtom.

????Enligt styrdokumenten skall elever rustas inför dagens samhällsliv, fortsatta studier och kommande arbetsliv vilket förutsätter att eleverna kan möta och förstå texter av olika slag. För att klara de nationella proven i åk 3 krävs att eleverna behärskar olika texttyper och vi vill med denna studie se hur arbetet med olika texter i en åk 3 ser ut samt vilka relationer mellan klassrummets textarbete och styrdokumentens intentioner vi kan utlä-sa. Vi är även intresserade av om undervisningen kring texter är inspirerad av literacy-forskning eller en mer traditionell syn på läs- och skrivinlärning. Vi tänker oss att denna studie kan leda till att verksamma lärare och lärarstudenter får upp ögonen för hur arbe-tet med olika texter kan se ut för att uppnå styrdokumentens intentioner.

The moose is a keystone species in the boreal forest ecosystem, but the dense Swedish population do cause some serious problems. From a forestry perspective, their browsing on young Scot pine (Pinus sylvestris) causes extensive losses of revenue. Adjusting the cleaning along roadsides of low trafficked forest roads can favour the production of plant species preferred by the moose. This is thought to redirect the moose´s browsing to the roadsides and thereby decrease the damages on commercial forest.The aim of this study has been to present a first evaluation of the vegetation in roadsides, one year after wildlife-adapted roadside clearing has been undertaken. In the wildlifeadapted clearing operation, the roadside was widened by removal of some trees in the forest edge whereupon a complementary clearing with a conventional chain flail was conducted.
