Detta examensarbete är en läroboksstudie, där tematiskt respektive kronologiskt upplagda läroböcker i kursen Svenska B för gymnasieskolan har jämförts med avseende på texturval. Arbetets syfte är att kartlägga skillnader i texturvalet mellan de två lärobokstyperna.Tre läroböcker av varje typ undersöktes. För var och en av de 593 textutdragen insamlades en rad data om texten såsom titel, publiceringsplats (verk), publiceringsdatum, textlängd, författare, författarens härkomst och kön, period, genre och om det finns någon information om författaren i textens kontext. Resultaten kunde mestadels tas fram ur kopplade tabeller skapades utifrån dataformuläret.Undersökningen visar att de tematiskt uppbyggda läromedlen innehåller större andel nyare texter och större andel sakprosatexter, samt fler texter skrivna av kvinnor, även om situationen ännu är långt ifrån jämställd. I de kronologiskt uppbyggda läromedlen dominerar skönlitteraturen, med epiken i spetsen, stort, och den manliga dominansen bland författarna är större.

Contents:The evolution of today?s computer influenced society has taken giant steps towards virtual reality, game addictions and the possibility of not having to meet the people we communicate with. What is a reality today?To give a more concrete image of our question we?ve chosen the online game World of Warcraft as an example and to describe our connection to an alternative reality. We have performed different investigations, interviewed both gamers and non gamers, all this to give us the opportunity to see if the term reality has started to change in a direction that will allow us to call this alternative world a reality, or if it?s just a world wide phenomena of for example gaming addiction.

Abstract Idag är litteratur som påstås beskriva sanna händelser mycket populär, framför allt bland yngre läsare. Ofta skildrar denna litteratur ett extraordinärt människoöde som kryddas med inslag av våld, sex och olika övergrepp. Det är en persons subjektiva sanning som berättas, ofta av en journalist. Ett begrepp som ofta används för att beskriva sådan litteratur där fakta och fiktion blandas är faktion eller faktionslitteratur.   Läsning av faktion har naturligtvis blivit allt vanligare även i skolan där många lärare nöjer sig med att eleverna intresserat läser denna litteratur. Problemet är dock att många av dessa yngre och oerfarna läsare helt okritiskt håller allt det de läser för sant.

This study is an investigation of a sub community within the community of Hovsjö. The local government has financed a project in Hovsjö which is intended to bring about positive development. The prior object of this paper is to describe the project, it?s planning, it?s methods, it?s carrying through, and it?s goals. This study presents the district of Hovsjö in Södertälje.

In this essay a model of a potential illegal hunter?s decision-making is created and presented in order to provide an overview of important parts of the complexities associated with the current Swedish predator policy. A comparison is made between a livestock owner?s economic incentives, and the expected costs faced by the potentially caught lawbreaker. In accordance with economic theory the benefits and costs of illegal hunting are compared and thus the optimal choice is determined where marginal costs and benefits are equal.

Studiens syfte är att undersöka pojkars attityder och intressen till läsning. Den baseras på intervjuer med nio pojkar i årskurs fem utifrån följande frågeställningar: vilka faktorer upplever pojkar påverkar deras intresse för läsning, hur anser pojkar att läraren påverkar deras läsintresse samt vilken typ av texter väljer pojkar att läsa? Arbetet är en kvalitativ studie som bygger på semistrukturerade intervjuer med pojkar från två olika klasser. Studien utgår från teorin literacy, vilket betyder läs- och skrivkunnighet. Analysen av intervjuerna genomfördes med hjälp av fenomenografi som är en sjustegsmodell för dataanalys.

Syftet med denna studie a?r att utforska vilka kunskaper och fa?rdigheter na?gra etable- rade sa?ngare anser beho?vs fo?r att sa?ngare ska kunna bli etablerade och erka?nda. Studien utga?r fra?n sociokulturellt perspektiv och baseras pa? kvalitativa intervjuer med tre sa?ng- are: En jazzsa?ngerska, en operasa?ngare och en popsa?ngare. Samtliga tre informanter betraktas som etablerade och erka?nda inom sin respektive genre.

This study highlights the stereotypical depictions of journalists in film using a narrative analysis of four major Hollywood productions, starting with All the President?s Men from 1976 through The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo from 2011. Its purpose is to highlight traits given to journalists in the movies and re-occuring themes in the portrayal of the media and the journalistic occupation. Differences and commonalities between the films are concluded in a discussion of ethics, personalities and the media?s self image.

The aim of this essay is, due to a noted lack of earlier research together with an even more accentuated responsibility regarding the matter in question, to study the citizens? preparedness for crisis. Starting out from a number of questions regarding the citizens? responsibility andlearning from the hurricanes Gudrun and Per, the discussion concerns the terminology ofcrisis together with the question of responsibility and learning from experience.In conclusion, the source material consisting of nine interviews shows that preparedness for crisis for the affected citizen above all is related to the personal measures to create a working situation in a state of crisis. Hence, to a great extent, the citizens show consciousnessof their own responsibility.

Denna studie redovisar den frivilliga information som svenska VD och koncernchefer tar upp i VD orden i sina årsredovisningar. Syftet är att analysera var Sveriges redovisningsutveckling är på väg, genom att bland annat ställa de svenska VD orden i jämförelse med utvecklingen av öppenhet i årsredovisningar inom detta område i framför allt USA och Storbritannien. De undersökta VD orden kommer från årsredovisningarna hos de 18 svenska börsnoterade företag med högst värde på sin aktieomsättning år 2005. Eftersom det fortfarande inte finns någon fullständig teori inom detta område har ett induktivt förhållningssätt använts. De metodologiska val som gjorts är inspirerade av det som Glaser och Strauss (1967) kallar för grounded theory..

This thesis project explores technologies that enable people to experience the world through animals' senses in order to spark interest in and awareness about the marine environment and its inhabitants. The project is carried out as part of a planned ocean themed science center. The purpose is to explore how a greater understanding of the marine environment can be achieved using interactive technologies. The thesis is based on a theoretical framework consisting of academic works on experience, learning in a museum context and sensory perception. Our proposed designs are a series of, primarily, wearable devices that translate sensory experiences and principles from the marine world to humans.

The aim of this study is to deepen the knowledge of how libraryusers, library personnel and the relationship between them are expressed in ?strategicdocuments? of university libraries in Sweden. As used in this study, strategic documentshave the purpose of pointing out focus and strategic planning for an organization. Sixstrategic documents are chosen. The main theory and method used is critical discourseanalysis signed Norman Fairclough.

Abstract Our intent with this study was to find out what changes have been made during the last 30 years in the way that the media reports from certain events. We choose to study the world of football and specially the Swedish national team and it?s relationship to the Swedish television medium in the World Cup of 1974 and the World Cup of 2006. The study mainly focuses on the differences in commentary and in the production from both of the championships. We used Keith Selby and Ron Cowdery?s book How to study television and Mats Ekström and Lars-Åke Larsson?s book Metoder i kommunikationsvetenskap as tools to analyze the games we watched. The result showed that there?s been a lot of changes media wise between the two championships.

This essay analyzes the scripts of the swedish plays Jösses flickor! Befrielsen är nära (Jeez girls! Liberation is at hand) from 1974 and Jösses flickor ? återkomsten (Jeez girls ? the return) from 2006. The analysis is done within the theoretical framework of political and feministic theatre. The essay also includes a discourse analysis of the reviews that were written about the plays and the debates that followed.The result shows that the feministic discourse has changed primarily in two ways. In the 1970's there was a large confidence in the collective, in the 2000's focus has shifted to the individual and tointersectional perspectives.

   Did the mass media report in a different way about the real estate tax before the Swedish national election 2006 than they did after the election? If there were differences, what could be the cause?This study aims to answer these questions by using a quantitative analysis of articles about the real estate tax published in the Dagens Nyheter (DN), the biggest morning daily. The summer before the election, the ?Alliance?, (the non-socialist coalition, launched an election promise to abolish the real estate tax. Instead they planned to introduce a low community charge.The Alliance won the election and formed a government to implement their election promise. The analysis was made on all the published articles in DN that covered the real estate tax issue. In total there were 43 such articles. These where all published between the launch of the campaign promise until the electionday and a month before the proposal was launched 19/9 2007, until the proposal was implemented in 2008. The study results in three interesting conclusions.
