I dagens samhälle är majoriteten av våra tillgångar digitaliserade och bevarade i olika typer av informationssystem. Genom Access Control (sv. behörighetsstyrning) säkerställs att användare får korrekt åtkomst till dessa tillgångar. I takt med att organisationer genererar allt mer affärskritisk data i sina informationssystem har dock hanteringen av användare och behörigheter komplicerats. En modern genre inom begreppet informationssystem som länge visat ökad tillväxt är Business Intelligence (BI).

Syftet med den här uppsatsen var att göra en berättarteknisk analys av Almqvists roman Drottningens juvelsmycke. Jag har i denna analys utgått från de begrepp som Gérard Genette presenterar i sin bok Narrative discourse och provat om de kan beskriva berättartekniken i Drottningens juvelsmycke. Jag har i uppsatsen också, ganska kortfattat, tagit upp en del andra aspekter av boken. Bland annat har jag berört romanens huvudkaraktär Tintomara, bokens genre och bokens grundläggande tema.Det jag har kommit fram till är att Drottningens juvelsmycke uppvisar en mycket komplex berättarteknik. Ett av de mest uppenbara och intressanta greppen i boken är blandningen av episk och dramatisk framställningsform.

The aim with this paper is to study Karl Popper?s view on realism and relativism. Further aim is to see whether those ideas have been consistent over the years. The paper argues that Popper since his first interest in philosophy has taken a realistic and antirelativistic attitude. Only his arguments for this position have been developed to meet his critics.Common sense speaks for realism but can neither be proven nor refuted.

Mitt examensarbete är en studie i vardagsfotografiet som behandlar behovet och funktionen av denna fotografiska genre samt hur den behandlats i samtidskonsten. Jag undersöker samtida nordiska konstnärers metoder i bearbetningen av vardagsfotografiet samt min egen metod utifrån den konstnärliga gestaltningen. Metoderna analyseras utifrån deras relation till minnen, dess effekter och synliggörandet av fotografiska konventioner.Metoderna återkopplas i den didaktiska diskussionen där jag behandlar hur man kan arbeta med vardagsfotografiet i bildundervisningen i skolan. Ett ämne som är viktigt för det bildpedagogiska fältet då det behandlar en vardaglig praktik och ett medium som ungdomar dagligen använder.I den gestaltande delen undersöks vardagsfotografier ur mina föräldrars och farföräldrars fotoalbum genom att rekonstruera befintliga bilder i form av iscensättning. Tillvägagångssättet bestod av att återuppbygga scenen i fotografiet på den plats där bilden tagits.

It then moves on to a thorough description of the buildings in question, and their heating- and ventilation-systems.Followed by this the reader is guided through the successive stages of energy-perseverance measures that are available, and possible. Reasoning around the economic factors concerning all measures is also held.The paper ends with conclusion, and a discussion concerning the delicate issue of the higher return-temperatures possibly reaching the district-heating plant..

Advertising in responsive websites is a quite new phenomenon and has therefore, previously not been a target for any mayor research. Todays society, where new technological innovations persistantly supersede others must be seen as a possible changer for how companies advertise to this society. This paper sheds light on many of the difficulties connected with advertising for responsive websites, but also possibilities and advices for the future. Through a litterature review and a focus group with respondents from a large communication agency in Umea?, insights, implications, solutions and thoughts both connected to specific websites but also around advertising for the future as a whole is presented.

This thesis has been written with the intention of investigating a commercial lending library to be found in Stockholm in the first decades of the nineteenth century. We chose this subject because it is a relatively unexplored area. Furthermore, we were curious to know what books could be found in the library. The lending library was run as a business thus giving a good indication of the contemporary reader's taste in literature. The lending library that we chose had a total of three thousand titles in those of its catalogues that have survived to the present day and was run by a woman called Eva Unander.

The aim for this bachelor thesis is to find an answer for the placement of Migration and Vendel period graves on preexisting house constructions in Sweden. The reason behind these graves being built on their respective places will be analyzed, discussed and compared with similar finds in Scandinavia, where a wide contact net had been established during this time. Different kinds of social and religious meanings and functions with the grave mounds will also be taken into consideration during the discussion and analysis. The actual findings in the graves will be not be a part of this thesis, as the aim is to focus more on the grave itself as a cultural and social symbol for the people, and the values it had, during the time period it was built..

There is an expression called ?grief of climate? that refers to feelings of powerlessness and heaviness related to the environmental problems of today. A feeling that every move we make has bad consequences for nature. This essay is an investigation of how art in general and jewellery art in particular can be a way of discussing and visualizing current environmental problems and the complex relationship between human and nature. I am discussing how artworks dealing with a dark and dystopian picture of the relation can be seen as the memento mori of our time.

The concept of sustainable development has been pervasive in recent years and many organizations choose to implement sustainability and adapt their activities accordingly. The purpose of this study have been to explore how a collaboration on the use of waste materials may look to analyze what influences cooperation. A case study has been carried out examining a Swedish state regional project aimed at creating partnerships between actors and utilizing textile waste with the help of design. The study was conducted using qualitative methods and the collection of data has been done through interviews and by examining documents. The results show that there are seven key factors that affect cooperation: expectations, commitment, internal communication, a strong non-profit actor, individual treatment, personal networks and the diversity of actors.

This essay deals with the same task that utilitarians have tried to solve for a long time, what is happiness? In the eighteenth-century utilitarians suggested that happiness should be the base for social political decisions. But the lack of definition disposed so that GDP became the measurement of happiness, which proved to be wrong when the unhappiness continued to increase. More than two hundred years later scientists came up with a new definition of happiness and new ways to measure it. And during the last decade economists have taken the discussion to a higher level.So once again we?re dealing with the same old issue, if happiness ought to be the base of social political decisions.

ABSTRACT  I den här uppsatsen ville jag visa hur kryssningspassagerarnas beteende kan beskrivas med hjälp av karnevaleska teorier i reality-programmet ?Färjans? sista säsong. Syftet var att visa hur det finns andra sätt att analysera serien på än enbart med hjälp av medieteoretiker som är kritiska till genre reality-tv som sådan. Jag har velat visa passagerarnas handlingsutrymme i programmet och beskriva hur deras handlingar ombord på båten kan ses som karnevaleska. Jag utgick från antropologiska teorier om karnevalen och det karnevaleska med hjälp av främst Victor Turner och Roberto DaMatta.

This paper follows an analytical and critical line of reasoning concerningindexing and retrieval of music in Swedish public libraries. The focus ofthe discussion is based on the terms included in the subject heading list ofthe Swedish Classification System. The empirical study is performed inthe context of online catalogues in the public libraries of Örebro andGävle. The theoretical background relies on the indexing theory ofProfessor Frederick W. Lancaster.

The purpose of this essay is to examine the everyday beliefs about mental illness surrounding the disease and how these are expressed and affects the sick life and identity. The focus is on the sick perspective, where a concept of norms, normalization and taboo forms a basis in the use of materials, which here consists of qualitative interviews and Internet forums. This is analyzed and then discussed with the help from structuralism and poststructuralism approach, where I mainly refer to the social anthropologist Mary Douglas, ethnologist Lars-Eric Jönsson and philosopher Michael Foucault. The European Union is originally an economic organization that has developed into including more social and cultural questions. These questions are especially important when the Union expands with so many different cultures and traditions to take into concideration.I have from an identity perspective studied the relation between the European Union and the candidate country of Turkey. Using theories including the Other I have discussed the relationship between us (Europe) and the Other (Turkey) and Turkey's possibilites to become a member of the Union. My conclusion will include a discussion on the basis of three dimensions; History, Economy/Politics and Religion. I believe there are hindrances for Turkey to become a member of the European Union.
