Syftet med den här studien är att undersöka om det går att kombinera genrepedagogik och bedömningsmatriser och vilka för- och nackdelar det kan innebära för dels pedagogen, dels eleverna. Uppsatsen innehåller en sammanfattning av aktuell forskning på området. I studien presenteras en beskrivning av arbetet med cirkelmodellen kring den argumenterande genren parallellt med införandet av en bedömningsmatris i en grupp vuxenstuderande. Dessutom genomfördes en enkät med elevgruppen för att ta reda på deras åsikter om arbetet. Resultatet av den presenteras i studien.   Undersökningens resultat visar att bedömningsmatriser och genrepedagogik är en gynnsam kombination, framförallt för pedagogen.

In this thesis I'm trying to examine the meaning potential of visual elements and layout in a Swedish newspaper front page and the same newspaper's website's start page, drawing on theories about multimodality and social semiotics developed mainly by Theo van Leeuwen and Gunther Kress. The study is focusing on Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet and the website aftonbladet.se and compares these three different days. In this thesis I also try to examine what the newspaper communicate about its identity through the different visual components. My conclusion is that visual elements and layout have a great importance regarding what a newspaper communicate about how the news articles should be read, but what can be said about a company's identity mostly depend on the genre the newspaper belongs to and how well the reader knows that particular genre..

Syftet med mitt examensarbete är att jag ska få inblick i hur gymnasieeleverna upplever arbetsprocessen i projektarbetet inom en ovanlig genre: Almqvists Songes (med den svenska översättningen Drömmar). I have studied the teacher`s educations background, if this had any role in the teaching of naturscience. To get my answers I interviewed ten teachers with different teaching background.The result showed that science was present both in the preschool and school for the early years. Everything from teamwork to outdoor play and small experiments. The aim of this thesis is to examine possibilities concerning subject access to fiction film, i.e. appropriate ways to describe fiction film for subject retrieval. Problems regarding subject indexing in general, and subject indexing of fiction film in particular, are identified, as well as the uniqueness of fiction film and film genres. Four types of subject aspects are discussed: form and genre, fictitious characters, setting, and general topics. Several guidelines, form- and genre lists, and subject headings lists are examined and treated as potential indexing tools.

This essay will focus on the people using and are involved in, and have a large interest in the horror film genre. The purpose of this essay is to find what urge these people to continuously watch horror movies and how they believe to be acknowledge by the society in a modern sense. Our study is mainly based on two separate interviews and therefore, mainly from the users perspective. This essay is also complemented by earlier research on this topic. In context of stigma, violence debate, exclusion we found that the users truly can be found in a rare type of alternative sphere, besides the public sphere.

The purpose of this paper has been to study and to compare three novels, written by Katarina von Bredow, Syskonkärlek (1991), Som om ingenting (1999) and Som jag vill vara (2007), with focus on the protagonists. The aim was also to map how the novels relate to the contemporary youth novel, the girl book, Chick lit and Chick lit junior. The protagonists were compared on the basis of themes, sow as relationships within the family, boyfriend and friends, as well as identity. The protagonists have in common that the relation with their family members is important. The three protagonists consider that friendship is important.

This Master´s thesis examines the conceptual ideas of science fiction and science fiction fandom produced in the Swedish fanzine Science Fiction Forum (1960-) between the years 1960 and 1980. Science Fiction Forum was and still is a fanzine published by Skandinavisk Förening för Science Fiction (Scandinavian Science Fiction Club). Both the club and the fanzine are a part of the phenomenon called fandom.A fandom is a collective of people called fans who form a community by sharing a special interest in a special object. The fanzine is one of the many material products produced by fans within a certain fandom. Title: What shall we play? -A study of the importance of genre spread in music education. The aim of this study is to examine music teachers' and music students' reflections on the importance of genre spread in music education. The study covers music education in municipal primary schools and municipal music schools/schools of arts and music. I have used both quantitative and qualitative methods in my study.

I detta arbete har jag undersökt om det finns några skillnader på gitarrövning inom olika genrer. Jag har försökt hitta en bild av inställningen till övning och tagit reda på om, och i så fall varför det uppstått skillnader mellan klassisk och afroamerikansk tradition. För att få svar på mina frågor har jag intervjuat sex gitarrlärare, tre inom varje genre, som undervisar på olika nivåer. Svaren har varierat en del men jag har fått fram en generaliserad bild med en del skillnader, men också med stora likheter. Attitydskillnader hos de olika genrerna finns inte enligt mina informanter, utan har istället uppstått mycket på grund av media.
