I denna etnografiskt baserade fallstudie av skriftbruk undersöks skrivhändelser som äger rum och texter som produceras i ett tvåspråkigt, svensk-kurdiskt hem. Forskningsfältet New Literacy Studies och teoribildningen kring genrer som socialt konstruerade konventioner utgör teoretiska utgångspunkter för undersökningen.Materialet består av 169 texter som bedöms höra till 34 genrer / delgenrer. Texterna har adressater inom åtta olika domäner och den största gruppen av texter är adresserade till en person inom familjen. De allra flesta texterna är skrivna på svenska. Engelska används i genrer med anknytning till studier, undervisning eller i social kommunikation med familjen.

Background: Anorexia Nervosa (AN) is a complex condition with high mortality. AN has increased within the last fifty years and it?s associated with considerable suffering.Aim: To describe women?s experiences of AN.Method: This study was made as a systematic literature review. Articles were searched in Chinal, PubMed and PsycINFO. Eleven articles were used.

Background: Sweden has become a society with a multicultural population. Many children start preschools with different backgrounds and experiences. Teachers today face the task of meet those children in the best way. Södertörn University has a special profile on their teacher education, the intercultural profile.Aims: My report focuses on teachers who have been working in preschools for about one to two years after graduating from the intercultural education at Södertörn University. The report aims at finding out more about their experiences and thoughts about the intercultural approach after having worked in the Swedish preschool with a special focus on the intersectional perspective on cultural phenomena class, gender and ethnicity.

In Sweden it is of major concern to the society that every individual get the same possibilities to be able to complete and affect their education. Despite this some students with a foreign background have difficulties when it comes to homework?s. This is contrary to the goals that the government strives for, which is a more just society. The aim of this study is to analyze five elementary schoolteacher?s experiences and attitudes against the homework for students with two languages.

 Det här är en reflexiv rapport som hör till det verk jag har skapat i mitt examensarbete på Högskolan i Skövde. Verket består av ett trettiotal animationer skapade för fyra olika Mobs (Movable Objects), det vill säga icke-spelbara, fientliga karaktärer i datorspel. Rapporten beskriver min arbetsprocess och mina tankar kring verket, och har som syfte att ge en inblick i och om möjligt även ge lärdomar om hur man animerar karaktärer för realtidsstrategispel (RTS) i fantasy-miljö. Det centrala datorspelet för den här rapporten samt verket är Dreamlords ? The Reawakening (Lockpick Entertainment, 2008). De huvudsakliga frågorna jag tar upp i den här rapporten avser hur den generella grafiska stilen i Dreamlords påverkar animationerna, samt hur dessa bör te sig i spelet ? dels de grafiska och designmässiga kraven som har funnits från Lockpick Entertainments sida men även i relation till andra spel av liknande genre.

Aim: The study aims to investigate the distribution of grades between students in a practical subject and in a theoretical subject.The problem:What is the grade distribution in physical education and mathematics, with respect to gender, socioeconomic background, parental education, ethnicity, and physical activity?Method:To answer the aim of the study a quantitative method was chosen. As the collection method used was questionnaires to 620 students in the 9th grade in Stockholm. Of the 620 questionnaires, 597 questionnaires were used for the static analysis. The method of analysis used cross tables and logistic regression analysis.

Knowledge of ecological processes are a basis for the understanding of important environmental issues. Through qualitative interviews, 8 preschool class pupils have replied to questions concerning the concept nature, disintegration and environment. The aim of this survey was to examine what attitudes and knowledge children with different pedagogical background have about the nature and the environment.The result of this survey in whole demonstrates that all pupils have good and equivalent knowledge of the nature and the environment, independently of their different pedagogical backgrounds. A difference was however that children that have background from ?I Ur och Skur? (a Swedish outdoors preschool program) know the names of all small bugs that were in the survey.

Detta examensarbete behandlar frågeställningen om det är möjligt att göra någonting som vanligtvis distribueras i bokform i magasinform. Att göra informativ läsning lättillgängligt genom att placera det i ett annat medie då en tidning oftare plockas upp och läses lite granna i till skillnad från en bok som läses från pärm till pärm. Arbetet resulterade i ett stilmagasin, ett modemagasin som enbart berör och tar upp ämnen direkt kopplade till tidlöshet och återkommande stilar..

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to investigate issues concerning librarians? view on three genres, (a) popular literature for women, (b) popular literature for men and (c) erotic literature, when choosing what to buy for their libraries. A qualitative method has been used and the empery consists of seven qualitative interviews with altogether eight librarians involved in choosing and buying literature. The theoretical framework is built on theories regarding concepts of hegemony and cultural hegemony; the male sex as norm; taste culture and quality. The results show that three of the libraries in the study have a written purchase policy and that the policies that exist are very general.

In this thesis I discuss and analyze the integration policy of the community Landskrona, if they have any at all and how they in that case use it in their daily work to counteract the obvious problems with segregation, racism and negative attitudes towards people with other ethnic background than Swedish.During the second half of the 20th century Sweden has received a lot of immigrants who built our country and contributed to the rich variety of people we see today. Landskrona was one of the towns who received a lot according to its size, and with the economic crisis in the 1990s it was easy to blame the immigrants for our own deteriorated situation.Today Landskrona is working for an implementation of integration policies in all institutions and organizations to make it a matter of course just like equality. It is not the ethnic background that is the problem; it is being an outsider and economically segregated that lead to resistance of the society. (2008)Objective: This study is an attempt to explain correlations between the levels of education and conformity to traditional masculine norms. It is mainly based on the social construction of gender. Background: A high level of education is associated with a healthy living, and a high conformity to traditional masculine norms associated with harmful health behaviours. The background also presents different views of masculinity, the construction of gender and the construction of norms.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka hur fantasy kan användas för att öka elevers läsförståelse. Min uppsats är teoretisk på så sätt att jag inte har gjort någon empirisk undersökning. Jag har istället använt mig av läsförståelseundersökningar, litteratur om läsning samt genomfört en litteraturanalys av Tolkiens Härskarringen. De undersökningar jag använt mig av, PISA-undersökningen från 2009 och IEA:s undersökning om läsförståelse, visar att pojkar generellt har sämre läsförståelse, framförallt på de berättande texterna, och därför har jag valt att fokusera på fantasy, som är en genre som Olin-Scheller (2006) i sin undersökning kommit fram till att pojkar föredrar. Pojkars sämre läsförståelse kan förstås som vilken läsarroll de intar vid läsningen, ett uttryck från Appleyard som Olin-Scheller använder sig av för att förklara elevers läsning. Då högre läsförståelse kräver att läsaren intar rollen som tolkare, har jag i min analys av Tolkiens Härskarringen gått in i den rollen och visat på de delar i verken som en lärare skulle kunna lyfta fram för eleverna. Eftersom pojkar inte lika ofta når upp till rollen som tolkare och därför avvisar texter som kräver den rollen vill jag visa hur de kan stanna i den genre de trivs med (här kommer motivationsaspekten in) och ändå utveckla sina läsarroller.

Birgitta Stenberg?s autobiographical novel Kärlek i Europa was published in 1981.
