The aim of this master thesis is to investigate the design of the reference service and its development that Internet has caused in college/university libraries when it comes to the service provided to the user. I want to examine the quality of this development from the view of the librarians, and also investigate their attitude and how they deal with this development.The following questions were asked:? How has Internet changed the reference service at college/university libraries?? How do the librarians look upon the possible change of quality in the reference service when the Internet is involved?? What attitude do the librarians hold toward this development where Internet is used in the reference service and how do they deal with it?The method used was qualitative interviews. A total of six librarians from Blekinge tekniska högskola, Halmstad högskola, Lunds universitet and VÀxjö universitet have been interviewed.The theories and models used were ?media richness?, a quality framework including ?quality aspects of a service?, and social psychology and its ?reasons for a positive/negative attitude on an organisations change?.The result shows that Internet has brought more sources of information and additional ways to contact the library.

MÄnga patienter i logopedbehandling Àr pensionÀrer men det saknas forskning om taltid inom denna Äldersgrupp.Syfte Att samla in referensdata om fonationstid hos en grupp friska pensionÀrer och utvÀrdera röstackumulatorn VoxLog som mÀtinstrument av taltid.Metod Tjugo pensionÀrer deltog i studien, varav tio kvinnor och tio mÀn i Äldrarna 66-75 Är. Deltagarna bar VoxLog Ätta timmar per dag i tre dagar och fyllde i en aktivitetsdagbok med en sjÀlvskattningsskala för taltid samt ett utvÀrderingsformulÀr.Resultat Fonationstiden i medeltal för samtliga deltagare var 9,9 % med spridningen 2,7?23,5 %.

This study is a thorough comparison between what people think about the website www.sl.se, which is a Swedish web-based travel planner for Stockholm metropolitan public transport (such as subways, busses and suburban trains), and how these views compares to the design of the actual website itself. The travel planner offers a wide range of functions and services for their targeted audience to find the fastest route between their current location and their destination. These functions are for example real time information on hold ups and malfunctions on different travel routes, and an interactive map of specific destinations so that the user can get a clear view of the area and nearby traffic stops. But how much does the average user care for these functions, and how often are they used on an average visit? What are the users? motivations when they visit the site? Earlier research suggested that there are services and functions on this website that are useful and well crafted, but that some people may not be aware of.

NÀr efterkrigstidens baby boom trÀdde in pÄ arbetsmarknaden har det varit allt intressantareatt studera hur olika demografiska grupper pÄverkar arbetsmarknadsprestationerna för denegna och omringande kohorter. I det hÀr arbetet testas hur de varierande kohorterna frÄn 40-talet till slutet av 60-talet har pÄverkat löneprofilerna. Datan som anvÀnds kommer frÄn enlongitudinell databas som tÀcker tre procent av Sveriges befolkning. Resultatet visar attkohortstorlek har signifikant effekt pÄ de genomsnittliga löneprofilerna. De som Àr födda i enstor kohort och i en uppgÄng till en stor kohort kommer ha överlag högre inkomstprofiler Ànde födda i en nedgÄng och i en liten kohort.

Background: Folate is a water - soluble vitamin necessary for normal DNA synthesis among  other mechanisms. Folate deficiency can cause megaloblastic anemia resulting from abnormal erythrocyte d evelopment. At the Department of Clinical Chemistry, Linköping, analysis of folate is performed with Siemens ADVIA CentaurŸ XP which uses an immunochemical method with chemiluminimetric detection. Currently, the assay is conducted on serum, is poured off and frozen after 48 h and treated with light protection because folate is considered to be light sensitive.Methods: This study tested lithium heparin plasma for analysis of folate with Siemens ADVIA CentaurŸ XP with the aim to be able to perform a package of analyzes in anemia investigation from the same collection tube. Furthermore, the stability of folate was studied for up to 168 h and examined regarding light sensitivity.Results: Statistically significant higher values were obtained in the analysis of folate in lithium heparin plasma than folate in serum (p < 0,001).

Aim: The purpose of this study was to highlight in what forms and manifestations spirituality emerges in medical patients whether they consider themselves believers or not. The other aim was to analyse spiritual ideas of nursing scientists ? authors of the patients? oriented studies to come to the better understanding of the situation with spirituality in caring. Method: Descriptive meta-synthesis was chosen, in which 12 nursing studies were analyzed and compiled in a new integrity. Results: The analysis shows that caregivers must be ready to meet and confirm the spiritual dimension consisting of Faith, Meaning, Relationship and Questions without answers in the various forms and expressions they emerge in patient?s experience.

Background: In studies about Romani people?s health, it becomes clear that the Romani inseveral countries have a poor health and avoid seeking health care.Objective: The purpose of this study was to explore Romani men's experiences of treatmentin the Swedish health care.Method: A qualitative interview study was conducted with respondents about theirexperiences in individual interviews. Seven male Romanis were elected with a purposefulsample. A content analysis by systematic text condensation on the data obtained was made asdescribed by Granheim & Lundman (2004).Results: The summed up impressions of the responses was perceived to be good, however,many men believe that the information is inadequate. Staff at the emergency department inUppsala should listen more to patients.

The purpose of this article is to explore the technologies of government that are created within gender disorder assessments as an institution. I have done so by utilizing Norman Faircloughs discourse analysing instrument ?communicative action?, which focus on the social institution as relational.The material is strategically chosen by gathering texts from the Swedish state, the psychiatric clinics, NGO:s and by performing interviews with transsexual patients.When analysing the communication of the main agents, I have concluded that practices highly are a result of repeating text and speech inside the institution. The psychiatric assessments can also be seen as an illustration in changes in how citizens are governed in advanced liberal societies, where the role of the state has been gradually reduced in favour of other agents.I consider that the change illustrates an ?acting at a distance?-mentality where the patient is introduced to participate in the definition of the care in what I call ?negotiation as a technology?.

Denna magisteruppsats utreder den mervÀrdesskatterÀttsliga behandlingen av monteringsleveranser. Syftet med uppsatsen Àr sÄledes att hitta den mervÀrdesskatterÀttsliga grÀnsdragningen mellan tillhandhÄllande av varor och tillhandahÄllande av tjÀnster. För att finna denna grÀnsdragning har jag tittat pÄ gÀllande lagstiftning, rÀttspraxis och de principer som gÀller för mervÀrdesskatt. Grunden för analysen Àr det sjÀtte direktivet 77/388/EEG och, vid behov, kommer hÀnvisningar till den svenska lagen att göras.Problemet med monteringsleveranser uppstÄr vid faststÀllandet av platsen för tillhandahÄllandet och beskattningskonsekvenserna som följer dÀrav. Platsen för tillhandhÄllandet beror i monteringsleveransfallet pÄ om detta sammankopplade tillhandahÄllande i sin helhet skall klassificeras som tillhandahÄllande av vara eller tillhandahÄllande av tjÀnst.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the difference in return between Swedish and Russian hedge funds while considering the risk taken.Method: This study is based on quantitative data on funds' historical returns from the electronic database Morningstar.se. Additional data is taken from the funds websites, the Swedish National Bank and Fondbolagens förening.Result and conclusion: All hedge funds, both the Russian and Swedish performed better thanthe index. The Russian hedge funds nevertheless performed better than their Swedishcounterparts in all three evaluation methods..

In critical ideology analysis nothing can be automatically visible to us and critical ideology analysis is a method as well as a theory.A central point in this study is to investigate whether there are oppositional views or unanimity in the debate of affirmative action. The debate is still under ?construction?, which means that the debate has not yet come up with a solution to the problems of discrimination.
