Syftet med den här studien var att undersöka vilken betydelse socialt stöd har för anpassningen till kronisk reumatisk sjukdom. Studien utfördes i form av tolv halvstrukturerade intervjuer. Analys av materialet som helhet antydde att intervjupersonerna ansåg att socialt stöd från omgivningen hade hjälpt dem att anpassa sig till sjukdomen. Vården, i form av bland annat läkare, framstod som ett särskilt viktigt socialt stöd.

People with some form of dementia have memory problems and may even have other problems as aphasia and behavioral disorders. This may lead to communication problems and difficulties for the people around them. The number of demented people is increasing; it is therefore important to study methods for communication in order to improve the wellbeing for people with dementia.

Glycemic control is known to be important but other factors ought to be considered. HIV/AIDS is a chronic disease that has increased and will continue to increase. Most health care workers will one way or another come into contact with it. The purpose of this literature review was to describe factors contributing to nurses' attitudes towards patients with HIV/AIDS. Sixteen articles were analyzed and quality assessed. The results revealed gaps in knowledge among nurses.

Physical activity is required for a good health and science shows a clear connection between exercise and a lower risk for disease. Still, the physical activity among the population is far from good. It is the individuals own responsibility to exercise, but the society also has a responsibility to give opportunities to exercise for the population.
