Abstract:The aim of this study is to critically analyse the discourse of linkworkers, a integration project in a ?multicultural? school in Malmö. In the project, four persons with different ethnic / cultural background where employed to work as a link between the school and the parents, and between the Swedish culture and the children's and the parent's ?original? culture. My material consists of evaluations of the project and interviews with school staff.

This Master?s thesis provides insights into adult women?s fictional reading within the conceptual phrase ?a good book?. Eight qualitative and semi-structured interviews were performed in order to examine the nature of response and perceived benefits. The collected data were analyzed by Louise M. Rosenblatt?s reception-oriented transactional theory of reading and the cognitive psychology-based model of reading developed within the joint Nordic project SKRIN.

This study examines the cultural factors which necessitated the establishment of The Music Archives of SmÄland in 1991 in the city of VÀxjö. I wanted to know the importance of the local music tradition and the role of those people who worked to create an institution such as this. In order to do this I interviewed the chief collector of early folk music, Magnus Gustafsson, and made use of literary sources to devise questions and evaluate the results of the exercise. In this study I have made use of a model of a musical culture in a society, created by Lundberg and Ternhag, based on the theory of cultural fields by Pierre Bourdieu. According to this model, the stature of a musical culture gives different forms of musical expression certain roles, but these roles can be remodelled, reflecting perhaps political or ideological influence.

The aim of this masters thesis is to examine what political, social and ideological reasons that were the base for the establishment of the Swedish temperance movement. Which judgements within this movement that resulted in the decision to establish publishing firms, how these publishing businesses were organised and what function they had in the literary circuit. The questions are: What principal political, social, economical and ideological reasons were the bases for the establishment of the Swedish temperance movement? How has their need for publishing firms arisen? Which were the publishing firms and who were the publishers? What ideas, purposes, experiences, values and judgements led to the establishment of publishing firms? In the first part of the theory I have used the historical materialism of Karl Marx; in the second part the theory of middle class publicity by JĂŒrgen Habermas; and in the third part I have made a presentation of the literary circuit and how it works according to Marx and Habermas. The method used is an analysis of ideas and ideologies in literature and documents.

This thesis is an attempt to study if the school cinema project in Kungsbacka is an establishedactivity. Qualitative interviews have been performed with the cinema owner, the projectleader and a politician of the municipality, about their views on the project. Teachers andpupils have also been interviewed. In the case of an established activity, the thesis also attemptsto answer what causes have contributed to such an establishment.The study shows that the school cinema project is an established activity in Kungsbacka andthat all parties involved are satisfied with it. The project has guaranteed the cinema's existence.According to the thesis, the reasons for the establishment are that govemment funds enabiedthe project to initiate.

This thesis will discuss teachers handling of the background, experience and earlier acquired knowledge of students. Our aim is to study the teachers? use of the cultural knowledge that of which the students already possess and the consideration the teachers have for the students own parental tongue. From this we want to see if there are any obstacles or pits with the work of gathering up experiences. The study is based on interviews with seven different teachers at a multi cultural elementary school in one the suburbs of Stockholm.

As requested by the company Husqvarna AB, we have developed a prototype of an electrical start device to a chainsaw. This was done through the development of new details in Catia, which has been integrated with existing details. Electrical components have been purchased by HAB electronics. In parallel with the modeling calculations was done, which was the basis for determine dimensions and the choice of an electric motor and gears. Prototype 1 improved gradually and led to prototype number 2, which became the final result.

Inom ramen för den översiktliga planeringen Àr samrÄd och utstÀllning de frÀmsta, lagstadgade tillfÀllena i plan-och bygglagen dÀr medborgarna kan lÀmna synpunkter pÄ ett förslag till översiktsplan (Boverket 2014). En av de positiva effekterna av medborgardialog Àr att de som bor och anvÀnder ett omrÄde dagligen har en god lokalkÀnnedom om platsen och pÄ sÄ sÀtt kan bidra med en unik kunskap till planerarna (Khakee 2000). Medborgardialog anses dÀremot ofta medföra ett ökat behov av resurser i form av tid och pengar (Khakee 2006: 19). Det har Àven visat sig att mest inflytande över den fysiska planeringen har medelÄlders, vita mÀn medan kvinnor och barn Àr grupper som inte har lika stora möjligheter att pÄverka (Henecke & Khan, 2002: 23). Idag förekommer Àven svÄrigheter med att integrera kulturella resurser i samhÀlls-planeringen. Eftersom samhÀllsplanering innebÀr sektoröverskridande samarbeten och behov av en helhetssyn behövs det nya metoder för att sÀkerstÀlla medborgarinflytande och de kulturella resursernas plats i samhÀllsplaneringen (Lundberg & Hjort 2011:6-7). Cultural planning Àr en samhÀllsutvecklingsmetod vilken syftar till att inkludera kulturella perspektiv i samhÀllsplaneringen.

The purpose of this study was to find out how SISU reason about cohesion with respect to its own operations, as sports consultants.There is no previous research on how sports consultants using cohesion as a pedagogical tool. However, there is research on cohesion linked to sport. Earlier research sees cohesion as a multidimensional phenomenon. This means that multiple factors determine the experience of cohesion. Such factors include how how-knit the team or group are, individual and joint objectives and that the individuals share common experiences.

Syftet med uppsatsen Àr att skapa djupare förstÄelse för vilka skillnader som finns mellan finsk och svensk organisationskultur. Den avser att belysa utmaningar för en gemensam organisationskultur. Ytterligare ett syfte Àr att ge en teoretisk grund för vÄr magisteruppsats. Den kommer att utgöra en studie av organisationskulturen pÄ ett finsk-svenskt företag med utgÄngspunkt i de nationella skillnaderna.  För att undersöka finsk och svensk kultur har vi utgÄtt frÄn tvÀrkulturellisten Geert Hofstedes (1980) modell om hur det med hjÀlp av fem dimensioner gÄr att skilja nationella kulturer Ät. Vi har likasÄ anvÀnt generella teorier om organisationskultur, samt litteratur om Finlands respektive Sveriges kultur.

My main question in this essay has been: why does the preschool advocate being outdoors? How should we respond to parents who have a different view on this? Children's right to participation and influence is also a question that I raise. How should we preschool teachers do when we stand between the child's desire to be out and the parents wish that their child should be indoors? By reading what is written in the preschool curriculum on children's influence, I have come to the conclusion that we preschool teachers must listen to what the children express that they wish to do, otherwise we go against our policy documents.My dilemma is about how to respond to parents who have a different opinion on being outdoors than we have. Many parents express an aversionagainst their children having to be outdoors.
