Följande är en översikt över mitt kandidatarbete som jag arbetade med under våren 2009. Dokumentets första del beskriver projektets mål, uppbyggnad och slutresultat samt min arbetsprocess. Since the late 50th century, the automobile has been normative in the Swedish society (Lundin 2008). This has led to an urban environment deeply characterized by the motor vehicle and its necessities, while other means of transportation, such as train and bicycle, have been ignored and put aside. However, over the past decades, a new trend has been seen in urban planning as a consequence of the increasing knowledge of the negative qualities caused by the car. As a result, the bicycle is seen as a conceivable transport mode.This thesis examines cycling on four issues:- Why is there a need of more cyclists? - How can the total number of cyclists as well as the number of satisfied cyclists increase? - Which factors affect the choice of transport mode? - Which factors affect the choice of route?The first two questions are discussed from a literature study that was conducted at the beginning of the thesis.

Yahtzee is a game based on luck. Yet there are algorithms designed to give an optimal result and succeeds in doing so. This report compares the end result of an optimal algorithm to an algorithm that has been modified for the multiplayer scenario. The modified algorithm tries to win over the optimal algorithm through taking greater risks in its decisions when falling behind in points. The results show that it is not favorable to do so.

Det har vuxit fram en ny identitet inom resekulturen, flashpackern, som har sitt ursprung i backpackerkulturen. Denna identitet skiljer sig dock från den traditionella backpackern på olika plan. Jag antog mig att följa flashpackern jorden runt vilket resulterade i en fältstudie.Syftet med denna undersökning är att diskutera identitetsförändringar inom resekultur, som sker när samhällets struktur förändras och en ny kontext uppstår.Uppsatsen inleds med en bakgrundsdel vars syfte är att ge en förståelse till terminologin. Här förklaras hur termen backpacker samt flashpacker och även eurocentrism och en nationell aspekt på backpacking. Den andra delen syftar till att ge en teoretisk förklaring till den förändrade samhällsstrukturen och en förändring i kontext som sker i Europa och Nordamerika.

The aim of this study is to try to explain the process using both an actor driven perspective as well as a structural perspective examining the reasons why the County Council of Värmland wants to merge with Region Västra Götaland. The answers to the following research questions are sought to shed light on the problem: What constrained the discretion of  the political actors in the choice of region to merge with? Which role did  different political actors play? Does the study provide Game Theory, from Rational Choice theory,  and Path Dependency, from Historic Institutionalism, a new perspective and strength especially  when bringing them together? The study is limited to two policy areas, health care and regional development policy. The structural background is drawn upon the Annual Report 2008 of the County Council Värmland, the Regional Development Program and Regional Transport Infrastructure Plan 2010-2021 by Region Värmland. The chronological order of decisions and events is drawn upon protocols from various regional political organs all linked to the municipal of Värmland and the correspondence between the officials of Värmland?s municipal and the Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency of the State.

Lindex has a strong fashion position and is one of northern Europe's leading fashion retailers. Unfortunately their logotype no longer measures up to the fashion level that is required. Surveys and interviews have been conducted with employees at Lindex, disscusing their logotype. I have come to the conclusion that what is needed from Lindex side is strict guidlines for the employees to follow so that all information from Lindex to their customers is made with a great touch of fashion to it and in a coherent way..

Vi har formulerat två teser som visar effekten av hur MKF använder oklarheten i sin rekryteringsprocess. Den första tesen orsakar en ryktesspridning som gör att MKF får in ett stort antal ansökningar. Den andra tesen leder till att de inkomna ansökningarna håller en hög kvalité. Kombinationen av dessa två effekter gör att MKF får till stånd en mycket effektiv rekryteringsprocess..

I denna rapport beskrivs det hur man har valt att lösa en dot1x-implementation på en Cisco 3000 switch. I rapporten återfinns konfiguration och egna tankar om dot1x. Rapporten innehåller även en guide om vilka kommandon som kan vara bra att använda sig av vid en dot1x-konfiguration. Funktioner och annan användbar information som rapporten handlar om är Dot1x, EAP, Autentiserings Server, Authenticator, Supplikant, MAB, RADIUS, Mac-Format, Host-mode och Vlan..

Syfte & forskningsfråga:Syftet med denna uppsats är att skapa en djupare förståelse för utvecklingen av dagens modemarknad och fenomenet ?fast fashion? genom att analysera och undersöka trenders uppkomst, hur trender anammas av konsumenter samt konsumenters inverkan på modebranschen. Uppsatsens forskningsfråga formulerades med uppsatsens syfte i åtanke och frågan blev följande: Vad är karaktäristiskt för dagens modemarknad och vilken betydelse har konceptet ?fast fashion? för marknadens utveckling?Metod:Vår uppsats är baserad på en kvalitativ forskningsmetod då vi önskade att få en djupare förståelse kring det valda forskningsämnet. Vidare kom uppsatsen att få en abduktiv karaktär då vi haft ett växelspel mellan vald teori och empiri.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka vilken nytta den nya gymnasieutredningens förslag om ökad specialisering och förbättrad anställningsbarhet kan ha för elever inom Hantverksprogrammet ?Textil & Mode . Gällande frågan om bedömningen av en sådan nytta, har fokus i undersökningen i första hand inriktats på vilka krav och önskemål om kompetens som finns inom hantverks- och konfektionsbranschen idag men även i ett framtidsperspektiv. Undersökningen bygger på en kvalitativ forskningsansats med utgångspunkt från ett antal halvstrukturerade intervjuer med olika verksamheter inom hantverk och konfektion. De gene-rella resultaten visar på att kraven för anställningsbarhet inom den mer kvalificerade kärn-verksamheten, ser ut att ligga bortom det grundläggande kunskapsuppdrag som yrkesutbild-ningen inom gymnasiet kan avses ha.

Syftet med den ha?r uppsatsen a?r att underso?ka pa? vilket sa?tt omslagens form och inneha?ll fo?r tre olika livsstilsmagasin fo?r kvinnor: Veckorevyn, Damernas Va?rld och Femina, har utvecklats fra?n 1952 fram till 2012. Ett ytterligare delsyfte a?r att kunna diskutera varfo?r utvecklingen sett ut som den gjort. Underso?kningen har genomfo?rts med en kvalitativ ansats genom analyser av 39 olika tidskriftsomslag, samt kompletterande intervjuer med tre grafiska formgivare vid de underso?kta tidskrifterna.

Abstract CORDIC (Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer) is an iterative algorithm for the calculation of a two-dimensional vector in circular, linear or hyperbolic coordinate systems. This paper presents a survey of known CORDIC algorithms and architectures for the rotation and vectoring mode in the circular cordinate system. In addition an implementation of the differential CORDIC algorithm in VHDL has been done. The implementation is designed to keep the fast timing and throughput characteristic known for on-line redundant arithmetic..

The development of software was considered until the beginning of the 1990th as a cathedral like product development in closed companies. This way of development changed in the last decade. Open source software (OSS) development challenged this consideration significantly. OSS is produced in co-operation by skilled people, distributed and used by many moral agents. The result, the software itself, can be studied and modified.
