This essay examines the appearance of Ha?kan Juholt, former party leader of the swedish social democratic party, in the norwegian/swedish talk show Skavlan, during Juholt?s crisis of confidence in the autumn of 2011. In this appearance it is clear that Juholt is badly treated by the host Fredrik Skavlan, and his guest, writer and journalist Linn Ullmann, while the audience seems to applaud and laugh at Skavlans and Ullmanns criticisms.The purpose of this essay is to investigate how, and why Juholt is treated in this way, and which rhetorical strategies Skavlan and Ullmann employ to create community between them selves and their audience. To understand this occurrence it is important to study Juholt?s rhetorical situation, and which conditions his lack of confidence creates for his appearance in Skavlan.

Då hästar är flyktdjur och bytesdjur och vanligen hålls i miljöer som är långt ifrån deras naturliga, uppstår ofta situationer som kan upplevas som stressande för hästen. Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka om hästars ras och grundpersonlighet har inverkan på hur stressbenägna de blir, samt även se om hästar kan drabbas av posttraumatiskt stressyndrom (PTSD). Arbetet syftade dessutom till att undersöka om det finns någon träningsmetod som visat sig ha bättre eller sämre effekt gällande hästar och rädslor, samt vilken effekt feromoner har hos hästar i de sammanhang där hästar utsätts för situationer som är stressande för dem. Stress kan påverka både individens fysiologi och beteende. Studier har visat att hästar som hade olika typer av skador eller sjukdomar hade förändrade nivåer av kortisol, ACTH, serotonin och adrenalin, jämfört med en frisk kontrollgrupp.

This paper examines the function of narrative discourse in television talk shows. Basing our analysis on five episodes of the Swedish talk show Skavlan, we illustrate how narratives are initiated and elaborated by the participants of the show. The analysis shows that the institutional roles are challanged and that the roles vary between the host ant the guests. The analysis also shows that when guests introduce and elaborate stories they use the same discursive actions and resources as the host. When participants enter an actvie role in their storytelling the hos takes a more restrained role in which he lets the the conversation evolve spontaneously.

This essay aims to analyse the form of two radio documentary shows and compare them to, what I mean are a traditional, Swedish radio documentary form. The radio shows are Radiolab distributedby National Public Radio and WNYC, Övernaturligt (supernatural) produced by TredjeStatsmakten Media AB and P3 Dokumentär (P3 Documentary) distributed by Sveriges Radio. Alarge part of the essay is dedicated to develop a method to analyse form in specific radio shows. Mymethod consists of two parts:1. Tidigare har det inte funnits n?gra behandlingar mot denna typ av infertilitet och d?rf?r har adoption eller surrogatmoderskap varit de enda alternativen f?r dessa kvinnor. Livmodertransplantation ?r fortfarande i forskningsstadiet i Sverige men kommer med stor sannolikhet att erbjudas som behandling inom snar framtid.

Site fidelity, the behaviour of animals to return to areas where they have been before is a common trait in many species. The Scandinavian moose is known to show fidelity to its range, but to what extent, is little known. The landscape in Sweden changes in a predictable and unpredictable way and hence gives the opportunity to test the existence of fidelity. I used the kernel Brownian bridge method to estimate the home ranges of individual moose over consecutive years and estimated the overlap at the home range level. I also used Euclidian distance to look on calving site fidelity.

This thesis work researches what motivates swedish Facebook users to pass along and shareinformation on Facebook, their attitude towards shared information and what affects this behavior. The goal of this thesis is to research todays behavior and motivations to enlighten  what makes information worth sharing to others on Facebook, instead of simply attracting attention. In this report, a case study of conditions for Swedish language development in children of immigrant origin is presented, and its results explored. The boundaries of the case study are defined as preschool pedagogues? facilitation of Swedish language development through co-learning, in children of immigrant origin in an ethnically segregated urban area. Concepts central to the report include dialogue, second language learning and perspectives on language difficulties. For the theoretical background of the report, a basic sociocultural theorem is used, which links language as well as other areas of development to verbal interaction in a social context.
