BIG SISTER IS WATCHING? En argumentationsanalys av den svenska debatten om ?Chat Control?

The Swedish debate regarding chat control highlights a value conflict between protecting the safety of children and preserving democratic rights such as privacy and freedom of expression. This thesis examines key arguments for and against the proposed EU CSAM-regulation, analyzing them through a normative argumentation analysis method. The analysis is based on the Swedish constitution, representing the common values of Swedish society. The study reconstructs arguments from four debate articles and evaluate them according to their relevance and validity, which makes up the arguments? total evidential strength.

Den svarta lådans pedagogik : En studie om läsinlärning på behavioristisk grund

AbstractThe phonics is traditionally firmly established within reading acquisition in Swedish schools. The curriculum, Lpo 94 gives spacious independence regarding the question of method and we have to be aware of our own point of view when we are making the decision regarding the method of reading acquisition. Is it tradition or is it our linguistic point of view that is the determining factor? Through this study of literature, different publications from different times are being studied and the ideas and the linguistic point of view are being discussed. Through comparing between the curriculums that have been replaced of one another, and attending to linguistic discussion and research, we will be able to see a change in the linguistic point of view.

En studie om elevers val av metoder vid subtraktionsberäkningar

In this qualitative study of students? methods of calculating subtractions, I have used interviews, subtraction exercises and analysis of teaching material. The purpose of my study was to explore which methods students in grade three uses when calculating subtractions. I also wanted to highlight which strategies the students use and their comprehension of the concept of subtraction. In the study, I also highlight the different pedagogical ideas on which the teaching material is based on and the students? choice of methods.  The study shows that the students choose to use the methods?deduct? and ?kind of number? independently.

Landet lagom och dess "lagomläromedel" : Om jämställdhet och genus i grundskolans läroplaner och läromedel från olika årtionden

The purpose of this study is to examine two educational materials from different decades, to see if they have a conscious gender and equality perspective, and to see if they have followed the development society made regarding gender and equality. Even the curricula have a part in my study as I will relate them to the educational materials. Equality as a concept means briefly that women and men should have the same conditions, and gender depicts our notions of femininity and masculinity.I have chosen to do textual analyses, focusing on multimodal discourse because I analyze both text and image. I also use both quantitative and qualitative methods.My questions are: In which way do the curricula and the educational materials express equality?; In which way do the curricula and the educational materials express gender?; Do the educational materials express the fundamental values written about equality and gender in the curricula? And, if this is the case, does it mean that educational materials have followed the development of the Swedish society?The conclusion of this work is that equality and gender are presented as goals in both curricula, but the new curricula have developed that section more.

Företagsvärdering ? God värderingsmodell

Allteftersom affärsvärlden har förändrats och blivit allt mer komplex har ävenföretagsförvärv blivit allt mer vanligt och behovet av företagsvärderingar ökat.Företagsvärderingar utförs i många olika situationer och för olika syften t.ex. i sambandmed sammanslagningar, vid värdering av aktier eller kreditgivning. I dessa situationerfinns även aktörer som alla har olika intentioner med värderingen. Därför finns det ettantal metoder och modeller att applicera vid en värdering.Denna studies syfte är att skapa tre olika typer av förståelse relaterat tillföretagsvärdering: förståelse för värderingsmodeller, förståelse för hur modellernaanvänds i praktiken samt förståelse för vad en god värderingsmodell är. Förståelsenskapas genom att studera litteratur, artiklar samt insamlat material från intervjuer medpersoner som arbetar med företagsvärdering i praktiken.Studien utförs med en kvalitativ metod samt en induktiv ansats eftersom dessa anseslämpliga för det ovan nämnda syftet.

This essay deals with how the development of society, the media society in particular, has an impact on the teaching of the subject of art. In the society of today, we are bombarded with more images than ever before. As an effect of this, the curriculum of 2011 emphasises the importance of the ability to orientate oneself in the modern society. Furthermore, it describes art not only as a practical subject, but also as a verbal and community-orientated subject. Because of sparse and dated research, the subject of art is in danger of marginalization as a school subject. The purpose of this study is to illustrate art teachers? conception of the aim of the subject of art.

Effektiv avkastning kopplat mot risk : En analys av sex börsnoterade fastighetsbolag

Intresset och möjligheterna för att exponera sitt kapital mot fastigheter har funnits länge men ökat under de senaste årtiondena. Historiskt sett har bara direkta investeringar skapat denna exponering men idag finns andra alternativ så som fastighetsfonder och börsnoterade fastighetsbolag. På Stockholmsbörsen finns det idag 18 fastighetsbolag som har haft en varierande effektiv avkastning. Då flertalet av dessa bolag profilerar sig på ett liknande sätt kan det uppstå svårigheter att verkligen förstå vad som skiljer bolagen åt och förstå vilken risk bolagen utsätter sig för.I kombination med en viss strategi följer en riskprofil som kan vara mer eller mindre attraktiv för en investerare. För att urskilja mönster måste en analys ske på nyckeltalsnivå och det går inte att enbart rekommendera ett bolag utifrån en viss strategisk inriktning på grund av att nyckeltalen kontinuerligt förändras.Att investera i ett bolag med god direktavkastning, hög belåning och en betydande substansrabatt har historiskt visat sig vara lönsamt.

Värdegrunden i praktiken ? Lärarupplevelser

The purpose of this thesis is to carry out a qualitative study of the perceptions of language teachers as to their role in the teaching of values and morals to pupils. Five language teachers have been interviewed about their perceptions of how values are taught and their role therein. The interviews serve to investigate the reality of teaching values to pupils in a Swedish secondary school and the work involved in this on-going process, this being with a view to having a better understanding of just how important a role the teaching of values plays in the daily working life of a teacher. Terms such as fundamental values and morals can be difficult to define as they are highly personal and can differ from person to person depending on one?s background, experiences and family circumstances, for example.

The so called democratic deficit and the lack of legitimacy have been at the core of the EU-debate in the last decades. Low turnouts in the elections for the European parliament and disapproval in the ratification processes of the latest changes of the treaties are examples of the citizens lack of confidence for the EU and continuous integration. In Nice 2000 the heads of the member states governments agreed to try to improve the democratic legitimacy in the EU and initiated a public debate aiming at proposals for changes in the decision making processes in the EU. In July 2001 the commission published a white paper with their view. A fundamental presumption in discourse theory is that language and language usage not just is a way to deliver information about ideas and behaviours.

The security solutions used in wireless home networks are examined in this report. Thegrowing number of wireless units have increased the need for reliable security solutions.This report aims to enlighten the reader about the fundamental technology used inwireless security solutions and inform about the existing flaws. A recommendationabout how to achieve a high level of security in the home network is also given to thereader.Several flaws in the security solutions in use have been reported. Of these the mostsevere has been examined in a test network using highly accessible tools to get aperception of how vulnerable the user is.The tests showed that several attacks were efficient and easily carried out. We have alsoseen that several of the home networks in our sample are susceptible to these attacks.Our survey revealed that the Internet service provider's technical support in many caseslacked the knowledge necessary to inform the user about reliable security solutions..

En kvalitativ studie av Social Enterprise som fenomen - Motsättningar i Social Enterprise bolag bottnar i marknadens bild av socialt företagande

A Social Enterprise is a business that features a mixture of characteristics that originates from the third and private sector. A general conception of Social Enterprises is that they aim to improve social welfare by the use of sustainable business models. The mixture of social and business features has created ambiguity about how to define Social Enterprises. The purpose of this study is to clarify Swedish Social Enterprises as a phenomenon and to examine antagonism that arises from mixing the two different sets of organisational characteristics. This is achieved by conducting a qualitative study of ten Swedish companies that the market considers to be Social Enterprises.

ALTERNATIV INDEXERING : En studie över alternativa viktningsmetoder av OMXS30 under tidsperioden 2004-2010

I denna uppsats undersöks hur alternativa viktningsmetoder av OMXS30 har presterat mellan 2004-2010. Studien har sin utgångspunkt i teorierna kring Capital Asset Pricing Model och Effektiva Marknadshypotesen. Syftet med studien är att undersöka huruvida ett kapitalviktat index är effektivt i enlighet med dessa teorier. I studien konstrueras fem stycken index, ett kapitalviktat, två fundamentalviktade, ett riskviktat och ett kombinationsviktat index. För att avgöra indexens historiska prestation analyseras de utifrån utvärderingsmått som mäter riskjusterad avkastning.

Aktievärdering: en studie av finansanalytikers val av värderingsmodeller, värderingsfaktorer och informationskällor

Denna uppsats syfte är att studera finansanalytikers val av värderingsmodeller, värderingsfaktorer och informationskällor på den svenska aktiemarknaden under hösten 1998. Det är av stort intresse att analysera finansanalytikers arbetssätt, vilka värderingsfaktorer och informationskällor som är väsentliga vid aktievärdering, då flertalet forskningsresultat sammantaget styrker det faktum att finansanalytikern har en aktiv roll att fylla på aktiemarknaden. För att uppnå studiens syfte genomfördes en enkätstudie som bygger på Olberts undersökning från 1992 rörande samma ämnesområde. Resultaten från enkäten visar att finansanalytikerna huvudsakligen utgår ifrån Fundamental analys vid värdering av aktier samt att de samlar in information ur årsredovisningen, delårsrapporter och från diskussioner med företagsrepresentanter. De värderingsfaktorer som finansanalytikerna främst prioriterar är vinst/aktie, kassaflöde samt ledningskompetens..
