This report contains a programming improvement work in a LabVIEW? fire testing furnace control system for SP Fire Technology in Borås. Here materials and products behaviour are tested and evaluated, being exposed to fire. For this task, UGNET is being used for control and surveillance of the testing furnace system. System hardware has been updated gradually through the years, while the software has been neglected.

Research on the power of customer involvement, and in particular recommendation is very resourceful. Many studies have mapped the reasons for why customers are willing to recommend, however they often ignore potential differences among brands and how that may affect these reasons. This study is built on a quantitative survey investigating how consumers interact with brands, depending on category affiliation. The categories used were Bhat and Reddy's symbolic and functional, consisting of three brands respectively where each brand represented a different product type.The evolvement of social media has also transformed the platform of recommendation from physical to virtual and changed the way people connect. Thus, taking the investigation further, potential differences between symbolic and functional brands was tested in different social media platforms.

Dessa konflikter måste snabbt lösas för att projektet ska fortskrida och inte stagnera. Utvecklare som sällan kommunicerar framför ofta okompatibla moduler eller delsystem som kan vara svåra eller omöjliga att integrera i kodbasen, detta leder ofta till s.k. ?integration hell? där det kan ta väldigt lång tid att anpassa ny kod till en befintlig kodbas. En strategi som man kan ta till är ?continuous integration?, ett arbetssätt som erbjuder en rad fördelar när man jobbar i grupp på en gemensam kodbas.

This thesis work resulted in a template for how the thermal spray process can be controlled through robot programs. The robots today and their programs need to be replaced, therefore a new structure which can be matched with the new robot systems is needed. The work is limited to only concern structured programming on the new robots on Thermal Spray Centre (TC) with the programming language Rapid. The basic data for the program was retrieved from interviews with concerned personnel at TC, from studies on process parameters for thermal spray and from existing specifications at Volvo Aero Corporation (VAC). The thesis work briefly describes the process thermal spray and the four methods used at VAC.

Denna studie undersöker om det är möjligt att införa nåbarhetstestning i en baneditor. Testets syfte är att ersätta manuell testing, det vill säga att bankonstruktören inte ska behöva spela igenom banan för att säkerställa att denne kommer kunna nå alla nåbara positioner.För att kunna utföra studien skapas en enkel baneditor som testplattform. Vidare utförs en jämförande studie av flera alternativa algoritmer för att fastställa vilken som är mest passande för nåbarhetstestning i en baneditor.Resultatet från den jämförande studien visade att A* (A star) var den mest passande algoritmen för funktionen. Huruvida automatisk testning kan ersätta manuell testning är diskutabelt, men resultatet pekar på en ökad effektivitet i tid när det kommer till banbygge..

It is a well-known fact that children with ADHD are hyperactive and have a hard time concentrating; therefore it is of interest to examine how teachers deal with this fact. This study expands the understanding of how teachers work with children who has ADHD; the main purpose of this study has been to examine how teachers view students with ADHD and how they work to include these students in the classroom environment.  special pedagogy has been used to analyze the results. The results are based on four interviews in two schools in south of Stockholm with teachers who work in classes that contain children in the third grade, some of the children have been diagnosed with ADHD and some only have strong characteristics for the functional limitation. Findings suggest that teachers? use structure, planning and the modification of students? individual needs to make them included in the classroom education.

This report reflects an examination work performed for Getrag All Wheel Drive AB during the spring of 2005. Among the companies range of products there exists some concern regarding the amount of clamping force and friction on bolted joints caused by the assembly torque.The aim of this project has been to determine if there is a simple way in which to identify and then practically apply testing methods for clamping force and friction through utilization of existing testing equipment.Three separate methods of clamping force and friction determination have been tested in rear drive unit, RDU, at a 30 Nm assembly torque. A fourth and final method, screw elongation with ultrasound, has been used as reference. This report is a documentation of the workflow and the result of a project carried out by twostudents from the Royal Institute of Technology in collaboration with a company. The report isstructured in a chronological order and describes the methods and systems developed in theworkflow. The report shows how the project evolved from a study phase to the various proposals onthe concept solutions.The project aims to develop a systematic way of bonding two different kind of cardboard under fiveminutes. By conducting a general study about glue and its different forms it was possible to obtain abroad knowledge, which helped to choose the right substances to later use in testing on the differentcardboard materials in question. Glues's survey resulted in a list of different substances that wererelevant to the project.

Access for disabled people in the outdoor environment is an important and accurate issue for landscape architects. The demands on public places are increasing and the aim is that everyone should be able to use the environment and be a part of the society. To enable this, landscape architects must put and extra effort to their design. This report shows examples from Uppsala Travel Centre where different ways of travelling meets in one place and many people pass on a daily basis. The area is newly built and should thereby represent modern solutions that enable access for disabled people.

This thesis contains a usability evaluation of ?Barnplay?, a Swedish video-on-demand service targeted at children. The objective of the study was to identify usability issues in the video service and to develop measures on improving the user interface, with special focus on adaptation to the broad target group of 3-11 year olds.The study was conducted by first mapping established practices in designs of VOD-services targeted at children, followed by interviews and usability tests with children between 2-11 concerning their use of ?Barnplay?. Based on the initial data collection, a prototype was developed and then evaluated by usability testing and A/B-testing.The main conclusion of the study is the need of better individual adjustment of the video content selection to better appeal to different age segments within the target group.

Mek Stans 07 is a machine developed for Tetra Pak in Lund as a 10p candidate theses project at Halmstad University. The commission behind the project involved development of a machine that punches holes in packages for the inspection division at Tetra Pak. The task for the machine was to facilitate the process of making openings for testing in the company?s other equipment. Researches on different methods of cutting, types of automatization and possible designs were made. To implement the project a design and construction from the base where chosen.

Formulation and testing of a new type of chainsaw lubricantThe company Agro Oil has come up with the idea of developing an environmentally adapted chainsaw lubricant with a new unusual base fluid. A field test with a tree-harvester shows unsatisfactory low temperature properties and high wear. In this work the viscosity, price and pour point of different combinations of the given base fluid and three other base fluids have been investigated. Desired viscosity and price are determined for different formulations. The new lubricants tested show lower pour points than almost all products on the Swedish market.A test equipment has been developed to investigate the wear.
