The food industry is an important part of the Swedish economy, It is the fourth largest industry in Sweden in terms of number of employees and production value. Due to the increasing globalization, the Swedish food industry faces new conditions and challenges. Through the Swedish membership in the European Union in 1995 a whole new era of competition began for the Swedish agriculture and food industry. Markets that previously were closed now opened. In retrospect, it should be noted that the Swedish food industry managed well.

Contemporary plant design can be examined by how it relates to two extremes - Nature and Art. This idea is explained by Noel Kingsbury in the book The Dynamic Landscape where he places designers and their projects on a gradient (Kingsbury, 2004). Nature, one of the extremes can be represented by a dynamic, species-rich plant design with native species and with nature as the ideal. The other extreme - Art implies a more static view on plant design. Here, the designs consist of colourful flowers, exotic species and cultivars with double flowers.

Denna studie utreder vilka funktioner och roller som byggvaruhuskedjor efterfrågar att deras leverantörer från träindustrin bör ha i marknadskanalen. Vidare förklaras hur dessa leverantörer bör agera för att möta dessa krav och förväntningar. The idea is to offer a high quality and functional way of living in small cottages surrounded by beautiful nature and landscape of cultural importance. There will also be a range of additional activities available such as hunting, canoeing, cycling etc. The project should be done with minimum impact on the surrounding environment and the importance of the ecological system should be at the forefront of all business decisions. Sammanfattning Urban kids är ytterfunktionskläder för citybarn. Projektet har gått ut på att utveckla funktionskläder för höst och vintersäsong som står i kontrast till outdoor- och sportföretagens estetiska värde. Målgruppen är modeintresserade stadsföräldrar som inte drar sig för att betala det lilla extra för att få en produkt som går i linje med deras livsstil. Syftet med arbetet var att ta fram underlag för att visa att det går att göra tekniskt funktionella ytterfunktionskläder för barn som inte klär sig sportigt. Med hjälp av idégenereringar och en mood board, ett bildkollage för känslan som produkten ska utstråla, har ett koncept arbetats fram under stilnamnet ?rockig lekfullhet?.

This work has been made in cooperation with the municipality of Eslöv and the inventory area is a part of the deepening of the municipality plan of east Eslöv. The aim of the work is to test the principle of balance in the overall planning. Later in the detailed planning process a more detailed calculation is made and a suggestion of suitable measures for compensation is made. Then the method with green area factors can be used. The goal is to balance the negative influence on the environment from the planned impacts to gain a sustainable development of the city. The principle of balance means that the one responsible for the development also has to compensate for the negative impacts on nature and landscape that comes with the development.

Visualization plays a key role in the concept of Lean. Lean was developed in Japan as a business philosophy in order to lead to an activity, where only steps that contribute to customer value of the final product are being performed. By defining the customer value and establish visualized standards, it is possible to see when situations differ from the standard. Then it?s possible to lead the process back on track.

I mitt arbete undersöker jag tre personers upplevelse av vad rytmik och musikterapi är. Jag bad dem också jämföra rytmik och musikterapi för att hitta likheter och skillnader. Jag har läst om Émile Jaques-Dalcroze, som anses vara rytmikens grundare. Jag drar också paralleller till Howard Gardner och John Dewey. För att få en djupare förståelse av vad musikterapi är har jag läst bland annat Even Ruuds ?Varma ögonblick?, och Anita Granbergs ?Tre svenska utbildningar i musikterapi?.

 AbstractMedia has since a long time back been writing about extensive thievery of recreational boats and their engines. The value of the stolen goods is estimated to several hundreds of million Swedish crowns per year. The widespread stealing creates a secondary market where boats sometimes are sold by sellers that do not have the rights to sell the boat. This creates risk for the buyer who most often is a private person. A situation the buyer can face is that the boat was stolen and that the original owner can demand to get the boat or engine back.

Scania står mitt i införandet av ett nytt CAD- och modellarkivsystem. Med införandet av dessa system öppnar sig nya möjligheter att hantera artikelinformation grafiskt som tidigare inte funnits. Med de nya systemen, Catia V5 och Enovia LCA, finns nu möjligheten att inleda processen mot att få 3D-modellen till informationsbärare.Examensarbetet syftar till att utvärdera och kartlägga möjligheterna för 3D-kravsättning med hjälp av FT&A modulen i Catia V5, för att få 3D-modellen som informationsbärare på Scania. FT&A modulen (Functional Tolerancing & Annotation) som utvärderats i arbetet kan bäst beskrivas som en mått- och toleranssättningsmodul för 3D-modellen. I utvärdering undersöktes förutom FT&A kompabiliteten mot Scanias ritningsstandarder, hur FT&A kravsatta modeller kan sparas ner i Enovia.För att få bättre förståelse för hur det dagliga arbetet med ritningar bedrivs på Scania genomfördes en undersökning med Scania medarbetare där nyckelpersoner från selekterade avdelningar intervjuades.

Industries with energy costs as a large proportion of their total costs are greatly affected by the instruments deployed to cope with the Swedish climate and energy policy goals. With energy costs representing more than 30 % of the total costs, tomato cultivators are one of the affected industries. In order to remain competitive with other countries, a more resource- and cost-efficient cultivation of tomatoes in greenhouses is desirable in Sweden. Based on the concept of industrial symbiosis, this study investigates the prerequisites for a resource-efficient production of locally grown tomatoes in Sweden through the utilization of low grade industrial waste heat. The study is based on the foundry industry as the supplier of waste heat.To investigate the environmental, technical and economic potential of the exchange of waste heat, a comparative life cycle assessment, an inventory of the supply of industrial waste heat in Sweden, a compilation of potential technologies for the recovery of low grade industrial waste heat for heating greenhouses and a comparative life-cycle cost calculation were carried out.

Tjörns kommun har planer på att bebygga Almön, en halvö belägen på nordöstra Tjörn intill Tjörnbron. Projektet är avgränsat till området som benämns Almöstrand, vilket är Almöns västra strand, en kuperad sluttning med kraftigt lutande partier som idag till största del består av skogsmark. Syftet är att undersöka hur man på olika sätt kan planera vägsträckningen i området, samt placering och utformning av hus, med hänsyn till en rad olika parametrar. Undersökningen visualiseras slutligen i 3D, i form av renderingar från Revit Architecture samt en fysisk modell.Initialt genomfördes en utredning för att ge beslutsunderlag till projektet. Vidare gjordes en fallstudie vilken har använts som referens och inspiration till arbetet.

Today, there are few industries left in our cities. Industrial areas thatare located in urban settings close to water or city centers are oftenreplaced by housing. In my thesis I want to explore how such industrialsite located in an urban setting can be transformed into anindustrial park where the industrial structures are saved. By approachingthis type of environment in a positive manner, I wish tohighlight the potential aesthetic and functional value in the existingindustrial structure. Through the transformation and design of anexisting industrial site I will convey the previous use and history ofthe place.The wastewater treatment plant, Kungsängsverket, is located in thedistrict of Kungsängen in the southern part of Uppsala.
