Denna studie behandlar de statliga intressen som bidrar till att Nato fortsätter att vara en attraktiv institution för stater, då hotet den bildades för att möta har försvunnit. Jag har utgått ifrån min hypotes att det finns varierande intressen hos staterna beroende på deras kapacitet och maktposition i systemet, som gör det lönsamt för staterna att fortsätta verka inom institutionen. I studien används realismen för att finna och identifiera dessa intressen hos USA, Frankrike och Polen som alla är medlemmar av Nato, men även den liberala institutionalismen avvänds som ett komplement till realismen. Mina resultat bekräftade min hypotes om staternas egenintressen i organisationen, och visade att Nato främst är en arena för staterna att utöva och utöka sin makt och sitt inflytande över andra stater. I USA:s fall handlar det om att fördröja och kanske förhindra att ett europeiskt försvarssamarbete tar form och utvecklar kapacitet att utmana deras unipolära ställning.

Detta är ett självständigt arbete bestående av en uppsats och en produkt som utformats inom förskollärarprogrammet vid Uppsala universitet i nära samarbete med Museum Gustavianum. Undersökningar visar att museer och förskola/skola ofta vill samarbeta, men att detta samarbete ofta uteblir trots den goda viljan. I detta examensarbete har vi valt att titta närmre på vilka trösklar som finns och utvecklat en produkt för att främja användandet av museum som arena för lärande.Som ett led i produktutvecklingen har vi i förarbetet gjort en omvärldsanalys. I denna ingår en enkätundersökning, två observationer av guidade visningar, ett besök på museet med en barngrupp samt inläsning av tidigare forskning på området.Produkten är ett förberedelsematerial för förskolan i form av en berättelse, tänkt att kunna användas av pedagoger och barn inför ett besök på Museum Gustavianum. Ambitionen är att materialet ska väcka upptäckarlust och ge en introduktion och förkunskaper genom text och bild.

Den här studien genomfördes för att undersöka det demokratiska uppdragets innebörd för lärare och rektorer inom fritidshemmets verksamhet. Undersökningens frågeställning var även att ta reda på hur ledarskapet ser ut i det demokratiska uppdraget. Undersökningen genomfördes genom att vi delade ut enkätfrågor till tre fritidspedagoger, tre förskollärare samt fyra rektorer, varav två biträdande rektorer. Informanterna arbetar på två skolor i två skilda kommuner i södra Sverige. Studien visar att det demokratiska uppdraget handlar om respekt, allas lika värde trots olikheter samt att lära sig regler och samspela med andra.

Over the last decades there has been a steady increase in the representation of women on the political arena. Despite of this there are still fewer women in comparison to men in political organs particularly at the municipal level. It is therefore of great importance to examine which different factors that tend to effect the female representation at this level. Doctor of philosophy at Umeå University Jessika Wide presented in a study from 2000 that the share of women in the municipal councils tended to depend upon cultural, socio-economical and political factors. Other scholars also mean that women have specific interests and therefore are more represented in some areas.

The relationship between the government and organised interest in Sweden has changed. Formally considered as a good example of a corporatist state the country during the last 15 years or so experienced a more pluralistic system. This thesis is a qualitative study which discusses how interest groups seek to influence decision makers and policy thru lobbying and public opinion. It also examines how interest groups work with advertising and public relations in a changed climate of mass media. The main method of gathering material has been done thru interviews of representatives of different interest groups.The results of the study paint a picture where the interviewed organizations experience a vast competition in communication and information.

Time changes, so also in sport. The small venues become larger and more modernized. As stadiums grows, so also does sponsorship and its popularity, around them. Is it enough as a sponsor only to expose yourself these days, or does the new times require more creativity to stand out from all the media?This work is done for Stadium AB in Norrköping, and treats questions such as; what type of sposnorcummunication that is proper to use around the soccer stadium, and if it is possible for new ideas in the future when Stadium is hosting a game? To answer these questions theory has been read about sponsorship and data has been gathered through qualitative interviewswith soccer clubs and sponsorship consultants.The work result shows that there are some general rules that the company should follow tosucceess when hosting a game.

This in an essay concerning the use of humor in male communication. Primarily, I have focused on studying how jokes can be used as a sanction for the training of members in a (male) group. I have found great inspiration in Goffman?s thoughts on a social face and the use of humor to protect this perceived face.Initially I started to reflect on men?s reluctance to discuss masculinity and their thoughts about the meaning of being a man. Every time I tried to hold a serious conversation, my male friends made a joke out of it.

This bachelor thesis, written as a part of the European Studies at Gothenburg University, is concerned with the European Unions? (EU) climate political governance in their both climate- and agricultural policy, and in particularly the question whether it is sustainable. This thesis intends to problematize if it is possible for the EU to continue to pursue its current agricultural policies, while at the sametime maintain its role as a sustainable actor on the global arena. The framework of theEUs? climate policy governance disciplines this analysis.

For most pupils homework is a natural part of school and their education and there are several providers of homework assistance: the pupil's parents, sibblings, friends, Internet forums, hired private tutoring, non-profit organisations and at times even the pupil's school. This study has investigated the use of the school-based homework assistance programme at the Upper Secondary School of Psychology in Stockholm and why the programme is not more frequently used by its pupils. The school offers homework assistance two hours each Thursday afternoon, with at least two teachers being present to tender for the school's 127 pupils. The cost of the programme has been estimated to approximately 12 500 Swedish kronor per week. Through the main use of a questionnaire given to both the school's students and teachers, as well as an interview with the school's headmaster, this study will show that despite receiving the opportunity few pupils take part of the programme on a regular basis.

I denna uppsats undersöks hur användarna på det virtuella nätverket facebook väljer att framställa sig själva samt vad som ger social status därpå, och detta ur ett genusperspektiv. Facebook är ett socialt virtuellt nätverk som baserar dig på relationer förankrade utanför internet, och har på en mycket kort tid nått en stor spridning. Facebook är därför en social arena som möjliggör nya möjligheter men även begräsningar i presentationen av jaget. Uppsatsens resultat baseras på en innehållsanalys av statusuppdateringar och bilder från facebook, som analyserats utifrån relevant sociologisk teoribildning. De resultat som framkommit ur analysen tyder på att den framställning som görs av användarna på facebook är en idealiserad och ytlig sådan, där båda könen strävar efter att framstå som populära, framgångsrika och lyckade.

The phenomena of cyber bullying is relatively new, but it is now more prevalent than ever as children today have access to the internet on a daily basis, in school as well as at home. Although cyber bullying is an increasing problem in today?s society, there seem to be few guidelines for teachers to follow when using the internet with their students in school. The purpose of this study is to investigate who, according to six teachers, has the responsibilities revolving cyber bullying ? teachers or parents.

The workplace is perhaps the most developed arena for prevention of diseases and injuries among employees. In addition, according to the Swedish Work Environment Act, the employer is responsible to address physical and psychosocial risk factors. Moreover, many employers use health promotion, primarily related to individuals and their ambition to maintain or improve health, for example through dietary means and exercise. The aim of this study is to investigate health inspirers in municipal activities and their perceived support and motivation in work related to health promotion at the workplace. A qualitative method was chosen where six health inspirers within Ludvika kommun were interviewed.

The birth of a child marks a new era for the parents. It is the beginning of something that will never end, because they will always be the child´s parents. This study investigates what happens when an infant is born whit Downs syndrome (Ds), and thus does not resemble the child the parents had expected. The purpose of this literature study was to describe the information and the support that the parents of a newborn child with Ds think that they need. The way we socialize today is radically different from how it was only twenty years ago. Följande uppsats behandlar klassrummet som en arena för elevers lärande. I uppsatsen presenteras begreppet hållbar lärandemiljö som innebär ett klassrumsklimat där lärare arbetar med ett längre tidsperspektiv i åtanke, alltså hur ett gott klassrumsklimat kan upprätthållas över lång tid. Uppsatsens teoretiska utgångspunkt är det sociokulturella perspektivet, med människors individuella bakgrunder i åtanke. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka vad en lärare kan göra för att skapa en hållbar lärandemiljö, samt hur olika lärare ser på elevers beteende i klassrummet.
