Today, Sweden has about forty companies owned by the government. These are active on markets with variable competition. Some have been given special areas of responsibility that in a practical notion make them monopolists. The period when most public companies where formed (and with that the following subjection to competition) during the nineties and early 2000's, forced the formerly protected businesses to act on the terms of the open market. Parallel to this development the brand has for the last twenty years evolved into something great strategic importance for the business, including the business-to-businesses (B2B).

I Norra Djurga?rdsstaden i Stockholm pa?ga?r ett stort stadsutvecklingsprojekt da?r det planerats fo?r ungefa?r 12 000 nya bosta?der, 35 000 arbetsplatser och 600 000 kvadratmeter kommersiell yta. Fo?r att koordinera alla transporter av byggmaterial in till omra?det, samt hantera avfallstransporter ut ur omra?det, har Stockholms stad etablerat ett bygglogistikcenter vars ma?l bland annat a?r att reducera antalet transporter.Syftet med detta examensarbete har varit att ta fram en metod fo?r utva?rdering av potentiella miljo?effekter med bygglogistikcentret i Norra Djurga?rdsstaden. Examensarbetet har tittat pa? byggtransportlogistik ur ett livscykelperspektiv fo?r ja?mfo?relse mellan tva? olika scenarion, da? ett bygglogistikcenter finns (scenario 1) respektive da? ett sa?dant inte finns (scenario 2).

Today Scania give a high priority to the continuous improvements on the quality of their vehicles. To follow up the flaws in product quality, which are recognized by the repairs at the local workshops, material requests are carried through to be able to analyze the defects at the plant in Södertälje ? in purpose to improve the product quality. The material requests are also carried through to compensate the workshop for their expenses and to check that they are working according to the company?s warranty manual.Due to local routines and different distribution structures at the different markets the lead times and the costs caused by the flow of material are hard to estimate.
