Abortfrågan har sedan länge varit en mycket omdebatterad och kontroversiell fråga i det amerikanska samhället. Striden mellan abortförespråkare och abortmotståndare har eskalerat på senare år och de fredliga blockaderna har numera utökats med kraftigare våldsinslag som dödsskjutningar.Vårt syfte är att ur ett konstruktivistiskt forskningsperspektiv undersöka hur dessa rörelser för fram och framställer sitt budskap. Studien kommer att inriktas på att studera representativa hemsidor för de rivaliserande parterna.Vi brukar diskursanalys ur såväl ett teoretiskt som metodiskt perspektiv i samband med teorier om Framing för att studera den diskursiva kamp som finns mellan de båda rörelserna. Vår studie visar att respektive part söker framställa aborter och foster på olika sätt. Vi kommer visa att abortmotståndarna framställer abort som mord medan förespråkarna menar att det handlar om kvinnans rätt att bestämma över sin egen kropp..

I det här arbetet har vi undersökt hur lärare inom idrott och hälsa upplever simundervisning och vilka upplevelser de har av hinder och möjligheter för att bedriva simundervisning utifrån styrdokumenten. Studien har genomförts med en kvalitativ insamlingsmetod. Empirin bestod av intervjuer med sex lärare i ämnet idrott och hälsa som är verksamma på sex olika högstadieskolor i södra Sverige. I resultatet fick vi reda på hur lärare ser på simundervisning och att den ser väldigt annorlunda ut och att den på vissa skolor till och med har avskrivits, trots att ämnet tydligt står med i kunskapskraven. Resultaten visade även att respondenterna upplever faktorer som tid, ekonomi och avstånd till simhall begränsar möjligheterna för simundervisningen. Det resultat vi fick fram har behandlats med utgångspunkt i Dahllöfs (1967) ramfaktorteori samt Bernsteins (2000) begrepp Framing och classification. Analysen visade att ämnet idrott och hälsa är starkt avgränsat från andra ämnen på grund av bristande stöd från kollegor samt att ämnet är svagt inramat i och med att det inte fanns någon tydlig pedagogisk praktik..

This study aim to investigate the conditions Framing the professional development situation for physical education teachers (PE) in a small municipality in the south of Sweden. The Swedish National Agency for Education declare that "focus must be directed towards strengthening the teachers' profession", and that "schools need well-trained teachers and good teaching to help students achieve good results". The study focuses both the schools? contribution and the way in which the teachers take own initiative and are motivated to develop their professional skills. The investigation is all based on teachers' perspectives.

This study aims to highlight patients´ experiences about and thoughts of side effects fromelectroconvulsive therapy (ECT), a therapeutic method commonly used when having severedepressions. The Framing of questions were how the respondents of this study describe theirlife before, during and after ECT-treatment, how the treatment has affected their daily life andhow these experiences may contribute to the awareness of power in professional relations.The study is based on three semi-structured narrative interviews and the main result showedthat, according to my interpretation, ECT as a treatment obliterated memories, quality of lifeand daily structure for all participants. Unfortunately they have all become subjects ofpsychiatric power and have faced considerable difficulty in getting professional recognitionaccording to their severe memory issues. The respondents have lost the ability to relate totheir past which clearly makes them struggle in their present context. A point in commonamong them is that neither of them wanted ECT but, because of the lack of communicationbetween them as patients and the health care in general, they all ended up getting it..

The aim of this thesis is to describe the rise of the Tea Party movement in the United States. By using a known theory within social movement studies, the political process theory, this thesis look into the factors that could have played a role in the rise and fast mobilization of the Tea Party movement. The political process theory consists of three parts and hence looks into both the political structure of, in this case, the United States, how mobilizing structures have been used and into the cultural Framing used by the Tea Party to create their identity. In order to bring structure to the thesis, the three theory parts have been transformed into analysis models. These give a very good idea of all the factors that could have played a part and therefore also a good way to describe the rise of the Tea Party movement.The research confirm what the political process theory says, that the Tea Party movements rise came at a time when there were a mix of factors at play, both structural and cultural, creating an opportunity that the Tea Party took.

The aim with this study was to gain knowledge about how parents who are visual impaired experience and manage the meeting with the world around them. To have children and to be visual impaired creates a complex situation. There is not only the problem how to manage the parenting in technical terms. The disability is also filled with stigma because it diverges from the norms of society. There is not only demands from society about how the parent should behave, the parent also create demands of themselves.

Youth unemployement in Sweden is at an all-time high, a fifth of all university and college students live in poverty and the number of young on welfare is increasing. This study attempts to answer the question of how youth deprivation has been made possible as a consequence of political action, focusing on youth unemployment. I critically examine the role of the Swedish government, the Swedish Labour Organisation (LO), and the various government departments through text analysis, in order to answer the question of how the current discourse on youth position in the labor market. Because youth unemployment is not an isolated phenomena the analysis covers several policy areas, such as education policy, labor market regulation and housing policy. I use discourse theories drawn from Laclau and Mouffe to expose how language is used as an instrument of political power. I conclude that the current situation is a result of policy choices where the young have fallen behind due to lack of political organization. Their situation is not problematized to the required degree and is often explained on an individual level rather than on a structural level. .

Enligt Grossman och Krueger, finns det ett samband mellan BNP och utsläpp där utsläppen följer en inverterad U-kurva, en så kallad Kuznetskurva. För att undersöka om detta påstående stämmer har historiska data över BNP och koldioxidutsläpp inhämtats från perioden 1860-2000. Syftet med denna uppsats är att med hjälp av kointegrationsanalys undersöka om det finns någon form av samband mellan dessa serier. För att kunna göra detta har villkoren för kointegration redogjorts och undersökts för dessa serier.Resultaten i undersökningen visar att empiriska stöd har erhållits för den hypotetiska Kuznetskurvan. Däremot hittades inte empiriska indikationer för ett linjärt, monotont växande samband.
