Syftet med min diskursanalytiska uppsats har varit att förstå vad som händer i ett jämställdhetsprojekt inom förskolan där kunskap ses som viktig. Detta har jag undersökt genom frågeställningen: hur kan pedagogers subjektspositioner visa på kunskap, emancipation, förändring, makt och motstånd? Den teoretiska ramen består av poststrukturalistiska teorier hämtade från Lenz Taguchi, Foucault, Davies och Rose och det empiriska materialet är pedagogers och handledares utvärderingar från förskoleprojektet JämFör i Västerbotten. Textanalysen visar att de normativa inslagen består av ?att upptäcka?, ?att få ett seende? och ett ?tänk?, vilket förväntas leda till pedagogens frigörelse.

This study illustrates how the power relation between the trustee and principals are experienced and maintained in proportion to the missions design. The main focus lies on understanding of how trustee perceives and applies the mission`s cornerstones and how power can be expressed in the relationship between trustees and principals. Nine semi-structured interviews were conducted with trustees whose principals were mentally disabled. The interviews were then analyzed with the support of Foucault's concept of discipline, knowledge, control, surveillance and reward/punishment and Tilly's theory of persistent inequality We have obtained an understanding of the complexity of the assignment regarding the mission`s cornerstones who goes into every other, and all respondents agreed that the cornerstones should be considered as a whole. We concluded that the trustee on the basis of the mission's design possesses a power that is necessary and important to have regarding the relation to his principal and its social network.

Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka samtalet om sexuella handlingar mellan män i muslimska traditioner och försöka se vad dessa handlingar betyder, socialt, religiöst och kulturellt, samt var de står i relation till allmänna normativa värderingar som grundar sig i familjeliv och andra sociala konstruktioner.Ambitionen är att jämföra kristen borgerlig kultur som ligger till grund för Foucault's resonemang om makt och sexualitet med muslimsk religiö's kultur. Kan man hitta kopplingar mellan kulturella yttringar, religiositet och dessa sexuella handlingar? Är dessa sexuella beteenden bundna till en vis's kultur? Och vad är det då i kulturen som bidrar till dessa uppfattningar om sexuella uttryck och handlingar. Finn's det sociala mönster i form av patriarkala strukturer som påverkar dessa handlingar's uttryck och påverkar i såfall de patriarkala mönstren till att sexualitet mellan män blir till ett maktuttryck?(utdrag ur uppsatsen's "Syfte och frågeställning").

The aim of this study is to investigate ex-Jehovah's witnesses' experiences with accessibility in relation to sexual and reproductive health. The purpose is to build on the understanding of how closed Christian communities view the power over their own bodies in relation to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). The results are examined and analyzed through Foucault's ideas about power. The thesis is built upon an exploratory point of view, where the focus is to examine the experiences of former Jehovah's witnesses. The theoretical framework assumes that there are different types of power relations, specifically in the form of biopower, disciplinary power and governmentality. Through semi-structured interviews, six former members have been interviewed. The results indicate the complex relation between Jehovah's witnesses and several forms of power.

The aim of this thesis was to investigate the relation between different kinds ofremedial teaching models, not specifically addressed to pupils with physicaldisabilities, in the Swedish school context, and to describe and analyze theobjectives related to each model. Research focus was held on professionaldescriptions of school related problems and arguments for different kind of models,but also on objectives formulated in Swedish school policy. As theoretical toolswere used discourse analysis and interpretive policy analysis. The concept ofalienation as it appears throughout Foucault?s work was also used to understand howdifferent knowledge fields as education, special education, psychology and medicinedivide themselves from each other.

Disney's storytelling is often with the children from an early age and they get to learn about right and wrong, good and evil through the films. A picture of how the world looks and how you should and should not behave is presented in Disney's films.

Titeln på denna studie är Internalisering av kategoriella par i form utav homosexuella asylsökande. Studiens syfte är att undersöka om och hur föreställningar utifrån ett heteronormativt synsätt, hos handläggaren på Migrationsverket, påverkar asylprövningen av homosexuella. Studien berör hur diskursen i samhället formar föreställningar av den homosexuelle mannen och hur dessa föreställningar blir gällande inom myndighetsutövningen vid Migrationsverket. Studien utgår från teorier av Michel Foucault, samt är kompletterad och avgränsad med hjälp av andra teorier, bland annat Queerteorin. Studien bygger på semistrukturerade intervjuer av sju handläggare vid Migrationsverket, verksamma vid två olika kontor i Stockholm.

The aim of the thesis is to examine discourses about political violence categorised as ?ethnic? in academic literature and the media. Employing the method of discourse analysis, the study analyses news coverage of the wars in former Yugoslavia 1991-1995. The theory applied is based on Michel Foucault?s theory of the relationship between power and discourse in the constitution of knowledge, and the main arguments are supported by the work of the political scientist V.

Feberboken, written by Stina Aronson and published in 1931, is a fragmentary meta literary autobiographical work told and written by the pseudonymous female author Mimmi Palm. The novel tells about a literary-erotic passion causing female subordination, fever and sick-ness. It balances between biography and fiction and consistently decontructs itself through its meta literary prespective. This essay finds that the structure of the novel and its thematical confusion of literature and erotique, fiction and reality, woman and man, derives from a struggle for definitions. Thus, the essay attempts to a close reading focusing on ambivalence and resistance and in order to determine the nature of the fever, it tries to analyze Feberboken in the light of early Swedish literary modernism.

Högt presterande tjejer i gymnasieskolan erbjuds positioner som ger dem ett högt feminiserat kulturellt kapital men att de presterar bra behöver inte betyda att de är fria från sitt könshabitus och därmed mer jämställda. Jag har följt tretton tjejer på gymnasiekolans språkliga inriktning och studerat deras vardag i undervisningssituationer samt lyssnat till deras egen syn på sina prestationer. De aspekter jag särskilt lagt vikt vid är hur det feminina kapitalet reproduceras genom könshabitus, symboliskt våld samt det androcentriska synsättet. För att studera deras livsvärld har jag använt den etnografiska metoden och presenterar min empiri i form av en narrativ berättelse. Mitt resultat visar att tjejerna är framgångsrika och kompetenta men eftersom de erbjuds vissa subjektspositioner utifrån skolans förväntningar och utifrån det androcentriska heteronomin är deras höga prestationer dock ett feminiserat kapital..

Utgångspunkterna i föreliggande arbete är mitt intresse för bildspråket, samt för filosofen Michel Foucaults teori om det relationella mellan makt och kunskap. I min problemformulering utgår jag ifrån idén om bild som ett individuellt språk, dock inte som uttryck för kreativitet utan som uttryck för identitetsskapande och del i jagets självkonstruktion. Syftet med studien är att undersöka om skolans styrdokument Lpo 94 ger rum för bildspråk och utrymme för subjektivation. Aktuell forskning har gett stöd för premissen om bildspråkets betydelse som ett identitetsutvecklande språk med kommunikativt värde. Undersökningen fokuserar på texten i Lpo 94.

The purpose of this thesis has been to examine preventing child sexual abuse in four elementary schools in Stockholm, Sweden. The study is based on qualitative interviews with school counselors. The aim of this thesis was to find out how and if elementary schools in Sweden work with preventing child sexual abuse. The aim was also to examine how the school counselors reason about the schools efforts to prevent child sexual abuse. Their statements was analysed with Foucault?s theory about sexual history to get a deeper understanding for why people reason the way they do when it comes to issues like this.

Vi har under vårterminen undersökt hur förskolor arbetar praktiskt med frågor kring olika familjekonstellationer samt hur barnen uttrycker sig om ämnet. För att få en tydlig bild av förskolans verksamhet, valde vi att observera deras miljö innan vi startade intervjuerna med barnen och pedagogerna. Vi har använt oss utav kvalitativ undersökning, då vi fört halvstrukturerade intervjuer med sex olika pedagoger samt fyra gruppintervjuer med barn. Frågeställningarna som vi använde oss utav är: Vad är en familj för barnen? Vad är pedagogers tankar om värderingar och normer, samt hur de arbetar för att få in det i förskolans verksamhet.
