The purpose of this study was to examine how modern information and communication technology influence collective action within the framework of social movements. By studying the protests in the Arab World 2011, and focusing on the social movements in Suleimanya in northern Iraq, by observation taken on place, the essay discusses that collective action is closely related to the use of technology, for example cell phones and Internet.Result shows that modern communication technology has enabled immeasurable access andconnection between individuals throughout the world, which seems to be different from previouscollective action. The new communication channels in the form of social media, has been used for the dissemination of information and news, documentation, organization and membership recruitment in the social movements in the Arab World and Suleimanya. The new social movements have the tendency to be decentralized and flattened organized, they are now self-organizing and that they only do a whole as global patterns, as evidenced by the social movements in the Arab World andSuleimanya..

The purpose of this article is to examine how social workers may experience fear in their profession, how they and their organizations handle the fear and how the fear may affect their practice. To obtain the purpose, in-depth interviews were carried out with seven social workers from the southeastern part of Sweden. The experiences of fear were many and are summarized in four categories. Fear of treats and violence, fear of the responsibility in complicated situations and without optimal solution, fear of being regarded and judged as worthless and fear of being scrutinized with the risk of being stigmatized. The aim of this study was to examine the relations between sense of coherence (SOC), perceived social support and mood, the study also included gender and civil status in the analysis. In the analysis mood was the dependent variable. The study included 81 respondents, all students from Växjö university, who answered a survey with three parts: SOC 13, Mood Adjective Checklist (MACL), and an own constructed instrument that measured perceived social support. The result showed that those with a high SOC tended to have a greater mood. High scores on perceived social support also were related to a greater mood.

Denna studie syftar till att undersöka nyblivna föräldrars upplevelser rörande användandet av förlossningsbrev. Föräldrar intervjuade till denna studie valde att skriva eller inte skriva ett förlossningsbrev. Blivande föräldrar som valde att inte skriva ett förlossningsbrev gjorde detta på grund av att de ansåg att brevet skulle styra in dem i en specifik riktning, samt att det inte hjälper att försöka kontrollera något som är utom deras kontroll. Föräldrar som valde att skriva ett förlossningsbrev gjorde detta eftersom de hade specifika önskemål som frångick den norm som styr förlossningen. Även kvinnor som utryckt någon form av förlossningsrädsla valde att skriva ett förlossningsbrev.Under studiens gång har fokus även riktats mot att undersöka andra förberedelser inför förlossningen.

Syftet med denna studie var att belysa vårdlärarnas lärarkompetens och deras uppfattning om vilken kompetens som behövs i valideringssituationer inom vård- och omsorgsutbildning. Frågeställningarna var: vilken lärarkompetens har lärarna som arbetar med validering och behövs det någon specifik lärarkompetens i valideringssituationer. Vi har valt att använda oss av en kvalitativ metod i denna studie där målet har varit att få en förståelse för lärarnas egna upplevelser och uppfattningar. Studien genomfördes med halvstrukturerade intervjuer med sex lärare inom omvårdnadsprogrammet. Resultatet visar att ingen av lärarna i studien har en formell utbildning i validering, samtliga har dock gedigen erfarenhet av såväl praktiskt arbete inom sitt eget ämnesområde som undervisning inom vuxenutbildningen.

The purpose of this paper is to find more understanding for pupils in compensatory educational situations and get an idea about how they place themselves in the social hierarchy. In my study I have interviewed four pupils with different experiences from school with the common denominator of being placed in a special class during some hours of the week. The purpose of this placement is to get them to achieve better results in various subjects depending on their grade but this also means a social separation from friends in the ordinary class and this doesn't correspond well with the democratic idea of "one school for all".What I found was that these pupils categorize themselves different from each other and while two of the pupils find themselves very included in the school's social network the remaining two had problems functioning satisfactory in a social matter according to their own liking. The feeling of exclusion though can not be connected to their participation in the special class but rather to their earlier social experiences..

This study explores the different effects on attitude and behaviour three frequently used advertising techniques have. The techniques compared are social influence and egoistic and altruistic benefit-appeals. The results showed that ads featuring social influence had statistically significant higher mean values regarding attitude towards the ad compared to both the other ads, and significantly higher mean values regarding brand attitude compared to the ad appealing to egoistic motivations. Though, all advertising effectiveness measures used in this study - that is, attitude and intention variables - indicated that social influence was more effective than the other advertising messages. The aim of this study is to examine what social workers consider as ?challenging behaviour? among adolescents, but also to examine the connection between investigation and intervention in cases where such behaviour is being displayed. The questions of the study are to examine what social workers think of the instrument of assessment BBIC (Children?s Needs in Focus) and how the usage of BBIC affect social workers understanding of challenging behaviour. Moreover, it is a qualitative study and the respondents are all social workers with various length of professional experience who work with making decisions in juvenile welfare cases.
