ABSTRACTThis essay has as its main purpose to examine how teachers handle teaching in art, after the governments steeredocuments and goals to reach.To find out about it I have done interviews with four teachers. I have made a study of litterature to introduce some different teaching methods that is more or less meaningful and useable. The result of the examination was different from what I expected. The interviews showed that the four teachers work in varios ways after their own conditions. They have different experiences and also have different opinions about what is most important in the art teaching.

The main purpose with this study is to describe teachers? use of textbooks and other teaching materials in upper secondary school (gymnasiet) in Sweden, and to discuss the use according to school subject and teacher style. Data was collected in two different ways. At first twenty classroom observations were made during lectures concerning the subjects Swedish (mothertounge), English (foreign language) and religion. Then four open interviews were carried out with the teaching teachers.

In Sweden it is of major concern to the society that every individual get the same possibilities to be able to complete and affect their education. Despite this some students with a foreign background have difficulties when it comes to homework?s. This is contrary to the goals that the government strives for, which is a more just society. The aim of this study is to analyze five elementary schoolteacher?s experiences and attitudes against the homework for students with two languages.

?Dom hade iaf sjuuukt tur me vädret? :)? är en språksociologisk jämförelse av hur män och kvinnor förhåller sig till den traditionella skriftspråksnormen när de bloggar. Bloggskribenternas språkbruk tolkas utifrån att det är både en del i konstruerandet och en del av konstruktionen av manlighet och kvinnlighet.Materialet består av två hundra blogginlägg från resedagboken.se. Materialet antyder tre tendenser. Den första tendensen är att totalt sett bryter män och kvinnor lika ofta mot den traditionella skriftspråksnormen.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine whether the teacher's background affect students' approach to mathematics teaching. Characteristically, in Sweden today is that mathematics is perceived as difficult subject and that the number of foreign teachers has increased. The study examines a phenomenon which the relationship between the teacher's language accent and substance difficulties.The method used for data collection is questionnaires, in order to investigate the phenomenon as the relationship between the teacher's accent and substance difficulties.The investigation has been carried out based on the students' point of view, both secondary and primary school pupils. What difficulties have arisen in teaching?  What is the biggest obstacle to achieve the goals of mathematics, to understand the teacher's language accent first in order to understand the subject, or that mathematics is difficult in itself to be understood as a substance.The result clearly shows that the teacher's accent does not affect teaching and students' view of mathematics as a subject.

Microsoft launched a new operating system, Windows 8, during 2012. An interesting feature for Windows 8 is that applications can be developed using different programming languages but still provide the same functionality regardless of the language used. Two combinations of programming languages are: XAML with C# and HTML with JavaScript. This thesis examines if there are any advantages or disadvantages when choosing a specific combination of languages to develop Windows 8 applications with. An application has been developed and analyzed for the SwedishTransport Agency during the thesis project..

I denna uppsats har jag velat undersöka om de prosodiska skillnaderna mellan svenskan och franskan kan förklara de avvikelser från den franska normen som återfinns hos nästan alla svenska inlärare av franska, i det närmaste oberoende av hur länge man har studerat språket. Jag ville studera om skillnaderna kunde härledas till olikheterna mellan de båda rytmiska språktyperna stress-timing och syllable-timing, där svenskan anses tillhöra den förra och franskan den senare. I hur stor utsträckning påverkar modersmålet inlärning och produktion av ett andraspråk? Den undersökning jag har gjort syftade till att se om de rytmiska olikheterna mellan svenskan och franskan har märkbara effekter på hur betoning realiseras. Förhoppningen var att skillnaderna skulle vara särskilt påtagliga vid just betoning beroende på de skiljande realiseringssätten i franskan och svenskan.

In today?s society computers are getting a much more important role. To get a computer to work as intended it has to be programmed. A computer program is written with programming languages. There is an abundance of programming languages available today and there are many differences and similarities between them.

Today?s Sweden becomes more and more multicultural, with a mixture of many different languages. Many children are raised to learn two or more parent languages. If you work as an educationalist in preschool you will probably come in contact with these children. The question is how you should treat them and ease their development of languages.The purpose with this work is to find answers to the question if bilingual children develop their languages by the same method as monolingual and how one as an educationalist can make these children?s development of language easier.The papers preface is a part of literature that describes different researchers view on the bilingual children?s development of language and how one, as an educationalist, can ease it.To my study I have chosen to interview three educationalists in preschool who all work with bilingual children.

Genom att undersöka aspekterna kongruensböjning av adjektiv efter naturligt genus, yrkestitlar och generisk användning av han vill jag med denna uppsats utreda om svenskan är på väg mot könsneutralitet under en tidsperiod på cirka 40 år. Mer specifikt kan sägas att jag med mina undersökningar ville kontrollera om kongruensböjning av adjektiv efter naturligt genus verkar avta, om yrkestitlar i mindre omfattning än tidigare inkluderar kön och om generisk användning av han ser ut att ersättas av den i svenska lagtexter.Jag har använt mig av korpusar som finns att tillgå på Språkbanken på Göteborgs universitets hemsida för mina undersökningar, där materialet i den äldsta korpusen är från 1965.Min hypotes är att svenskan är på väg mot könsneutralitet, vilket i stort sett verkar stämma överrens med mina resultat. Det jag har fått fram för kongruensböjning av adjektiv efter naturligt genus är ändelsen ?a används allt oftare, även i kombination med maskulinum, medan bruket av ändelsen ?e verkar minska. För yrkestitlar visar mina undersökningar att det ursprungligen "inbyggda" könet i stort sett blir mindre betydande.

The purpose of this essay is to examine the importance of personal election for candidates of foreign background. I made this, first, by map and comparing the candidates of foreign background in the recent Swedish and Finnish parliamentary election. Second, I analyze what conceptions candidates of foreign background, who was nominated in the 2006 municipal election in Örebro, have about the personal election. The result from the first study shows that personal election had a negative impact on candidates of foreign background in both the Swedish and Finnish parliamentary elections. The result from the second study shows that candidates of foreign background have both positive and negative conceptions about the personal election.

Abstract The aim of this study is to find out how teachers view the importance of reading in the teaching of foreign languages. In relation to this, we wish to gain understanding of what teachers want to achieve with reading, how they choose texts and what difficulties they encounter in getting their students to read. Six teachers from three different upper secondary schools in southern Sweden were interviewed for the study. We also examined the text-materials that they were using for their instruction. The findings show that students read mostly adapted texts from textbooks and, to a limited extent, authentic materials.

I modernt danskt språkbruk finns en tendens att välja icke-kongruerande form av perfektparticip istället för kongruerande i meningar som Væggene er malet och Naboerne er interesseret, så att man inte längre skiljer på verbalt och adjektiviskt perfektparticip i predikativ användning.Syftet med föreliggande undersökning var att ta reda på hur perfektparticip i predikativ användning uttalades respektive skrevs på danska, i en informantgrupp bestående av 10 informanter, varav 5 var kvinnor och 5 män. Metoden var att låta dessa informanter översätta en svensk text till danska, först muntligt och sedan skriftligt. Som komplement till min metod använde jag senare ytterligare två informanter till att lyssna på perfektparticipen i det inspelade materialet från undersökningen, för att de skulle uppge vilka former de hörde.Undersökningen visar att de manliga informanterna i större utsträckning än de kvinnliga informanterna valde den kongruerande formen av perfektparticip vid den muntliga undersökningen, trots att de inte själva var medvetna om detta. I de kvinnliga informanternas uttal var det ett uttal med [ð] som dominerade, och dessa informanter uppvisade en större medvetenhet om att både kongruerande och icke-kongruerande former av perfektparticip existerar i danska språket. I den skriftliga översättningen var det dock hos både de kvinnliga och de manliga informanterna den icke-kongruerande formen som valdes i störst utsträckning..

Globalisation and diversity has increased the presence of different languages in Swedish municipalities. As the local administrative authorities with responsibility for the public crisis management, how are these municipalities coping with crisis communication recipients that are not speaking Swedish? Through an inductive approach, this thesis formulates a theory of crisis communication adaptation by studying Swedish municipalities with a large part of inhabitants with foreign backgrounds. This thesis finds that municipalities that are not adapting their crisis communication to non-Swedish speakers follows a discourse that paints a picture of these recipients as at least understanding the Swedish language. Municipalities that do adapt their crisis communication have drawn lessons from local incidents that complements this discourse.

Abstract The purpose of this study is to examine if the Swedish policy of foreign affairs has been changed due to the Swedish enter as members in the European Union. The research method used for this essay has been a comparative case study between the Swedish and Norwegian declared policy of foreign affairs and it strives to answer the research question, which is if the Swedish declared policy of foreign affairs has been changed in character due to the Europeanization. The theoretical framework of this study consists of Europeanization as a comprehensive theoretical perspective. I order to answer the research question a classification schedule has been elaborated to examine the objectives of the Swedish and Norwegian declared policy of foreign affairs. The analytical method of this part has been a quantitative and qualitative approach.
