This report describes the process of translating Russian financial information in accordance with Russian Accounting Standards to IFRS, International Financial Reporting Standards. The author describes the two regulatory frameworks and reveals a number of risk factors in the process. These risk factors may affect the reliability of figures from Russian companies. "Det är väl skillnad mellan dig och mig?" "Ja, det tycker jag. Särskilt mellan dig" : - En undersökning om skillnaderna mellan kvinnors och mäns riskuppfattning
Syftet med den här studien har varit att undersöka om det finns några skillnader i hur män och kvinnor uppfattar risk. För att uppnå detta syfte har två hypoteser formulerats som behandlar mäns och kvinnors inställning till risker kopplade till omvårdnad, ekonomi och risk i form av ett aktivt val. Dessa hypoteser baseras i första hand på tidigare teorier av Gustafson och Enander & Jakobsen. De teoretiska resonemang som förs i studien handlar om att kvinnor och män har olika syn på risk och att de fokuserar på skilda saker när de ombeds definiera risk. Den metod som använts är en kvantitativ metod baserad på en postenkät som skickades ut år 2008 och som ingår i ett forskningsprojekt vid Mittuniversitetet i Östersund.

Det finns ingen enhetlig definition på risk. Innebörden av risk skiljer sig åt beroende på vem man frågar. Risk är allmänt något som inte är önskvärt och något företagen vill undvika. Att kunna se möjligheterna med risk är en nyare syn på området som skiljer sig mot traditionell riskhanterings inriktning på att minimera skadeverkningar. Hur mycket resurser företagen spenderar på riskhanteringsfunktioner skiljer sig åt märkbart.

The purpose of this study is to look at the line extensions of the Swedish dairy company Skånemejerier. We have chosen to focus on how trends in ecological products and Functional Food influence the line extensions. The competition in the food sector have made it harder for companies to be seen in the market area and the companies have to make their brands more visible. That is one of the reasons why companies work with line extensions. The study is based on a qualitative approach because we wanted to come closer to our subject in order to establish a greater understanding for the case itself.

Meat and fish was the most important food for the Sami people in northern Scandinavia until the beginning of the 20th century. It is not so well known that the Sami people also used a lot of wild plants as food and medicine although that kind of food was relatively common among them until the end of the 19th century. The purpose of this master thesis has been to describe which plants the Sami people used in general and also which plants were the most commonly used, and when and how these plants were harvested. I also wanted to measure the quantities of Angelica archangelica and Rumex acestosa within traditional harvest sites. Furthermore I wanted to find out if the plant use differed among Sami groups geographically.
Kapitalkostnaden på Stockholmsbörsen: En studie av marknadens implicita riskpremie i hög- och lågkonjunktur, samt hur den implicita kapitalkostnaden korrelerar med kapitalkostnaden enligt CAPM
This thesis explores some issues regarding estimations of the cost of capital on the Stockholm Stock Exchange through reverse engineering of the Residual Income Valuation model and through usage of the Capital Asset Pricing Model. Previous studies are in conflict of whether the risk premium changes considerably over time or not. Furthermore, the risk premium estimated by CAPM tends to be fairly stable. In this study, reverse engineering of the cost of capital implied by analysts? forecasts shows a significant difference in the risk premium over time.

There are various investments to suit different investors, what affects the investor is the risk he/she takes with the investment and also the awareness the investor has. According to different theories a higher risk gives even a higher yield to compensate for the extra risk the investor takes.In this paper, we discuss and compare two different forms of savings, Swedish closed-end funds and Swedish mutual funds to examine what alternative that generates highest returns in relation to the risk.To help, we use different evaluation measures that adjusts the different investments risk so that you can compare how well the investments have performed regardless of the risk they have. This will give us an answer about what investment form that have performed the best between 2002.01.01-20010.12.31. Five Sweden mutual funds and five closed-end funds have been selected to participate in the survey.To evaluate this, it is primarily quantitative data, analyzed in the evaluation measures. The results obtained in the survey show that Swedish closed-end funds have performed far better during the selected time period.
Protected Designation of Origin, Protected Geographical Indication : their significance for the growth of the food industries in France and Sweden
Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) is a quality control system created by the European Union (EU) to protect integrity of certain food and drinks that are produced in a specific area in a unique way. By protecting these products, the EU can certify that the traditional region-specific methods of food and drink production are preserved. The EU countries that follow such a system are mostly from Southern Europe. For instance in France, the PDO system has helped improve the income for farmers, boosted the rural development and assured protection for farmers against the abuse of their brand and the selling of their products by outsiders. In Sweden, there are no PDO products yet, instead there is Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) and Traditional Speciality Guarantee (TSG) that are not as protective as PDO.
Kan jag be och få potatisen? : Två förskolor och två olika sätt att organisera måltiden. En studie av måltidssamtalen och pedagogernas tankar kring måltidens språkutvecklande möjligheter
The purpose of this study is to investigate the lunchtime from a language development perspective. It will compare two preschools with different ways of organizing mealtimes and observe the conversations between teachers and children. It will also study the ways in which a meal is served and how it affects the conversations. In one of the preschools the children eat in a proper dining room where the food is served as a buffet while in the other preschool the children eat in the preschoolarea and the food is served in bowls on the tables. I also want to investigate how two of these preschool teachers reflect on the mealtimes as part of the language development plan.
Hur kan en familjs livskvalitet påverkas då ett barn har födoämnesallergi?
Bakgrund: Nästan vart fjärde barn i Sverige har idag en allergisjukdom med symtom. Att som barn få diagnosen födoämnesallergi har en påverkan på både barnets och hela familjens livskvalitet. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa hur en familjs livskvalitet kan påverkas då ett barn har födoämnesallergi. Metod: Studien baserades på sju vetenskapliga studier, både kvalitativa och kvantitativa. Resultat: Efter att ha granskat studierna framkom tre genomgående teman; upplevelser av oro och rädsla, upplevelser av bristande stöd och information och begränsningar och strategier i det dagliga livet.

This study is a follow up of a pilot study made 2004, that evaluated feeding, exercise and weight as possible risk factors for developing any kind of diabetes in dogs. We have selected our material for a certain kind of DM that exists among Norwegian and Swedish elkhounds. These breeds are among the most common breeds affected by diabetes and this kind of DM almost exclusively affects intact bitches.
We performed a case- control study where the owners were interviewed over the phone. The owners of a total of 48 case dogs and 58 control dogs were contacted. The questions for the cases focused on the time before the diagnosis and the questions for the control dogs focused on the dog´s adult life.

Aim: On the basis of the Swedish 2012 National Patient Survey and its open answers, study how patients experienced the quality of care during hospitalization in a surgical divisionMethod: In this study, 306 patients' responses was compiled and analyzed by qualitative content analysis and reported descriptively in running text.Results: The way patients were treated by staff was experienced by respondents mainly as positive. The staffs? courteous and sympathetic attitudes were appreciated. The food that was served was described as substandard, distasteful and dull. The cleanliness of the hospital departments were reported to be inadequate, particularly in washrooms.
En studie i riskhantering : Hur börsnoterade bolag redovisar intern och extern risk
Abstract Over the years the consciousness of risk has grown. It?s hard to influence risks, therefore there are guidelines stating that significant risk must be included in the annual report. This paper is a case study; the purpose was to examine how four Swedish listed companies chose to disclose their internal and external risks. Risk is initially described in general sense and then it figures to what constitutes an economic risk.Through a case study of four Swedish listed companies? annual reports we have, through qualitative methods found how the companies chose to disclosure their risks.
