A constantly increasing number of magazines are using the Internet as a business channel. One of these is Allt om Mat (All about Food). Together with expressen.se, Allt om Mat developed a food website, alltommat.se, which was introduced at the beginning of 2008. In this essay we investigate how alltommat.se developed its service concept. Further, we look at how this development has influenced and been influenced by relations among the three actors and the users.

Problem: How does the organisational culture affect the internal communication between the middle manager and his or herssubordinates?Purpose: The most common way is to study how the communication affect the organisational culture. In our study we have examined the reverse perspective. The purpose of this study would be to explain how the organisational culture affect the internal communication between the middle manager and his or hers subordinates.Theories: The basic theories in the study are The basic model, Internal communication, Levels of culture, High-power culture, Socialconstructions, Organisational structures and Leader Member Exchange Theory.Method: The study is based on the qualitative approach. We have used interviews for our collection of raw data.
Utökad Diagostik med Simatic PDM(Process Device Manager
I Finspång tillverkas gas och ångturbiner. Verksamheten går under namnet Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB, som förutom att bygga upp turbiner som separata leveranser även projekterar kompletta kraftanläggningar, där turbinerna ingår, för att producera elektricitet, ånga och värme.Till de gasturbin kraftverk som levereras av Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB används ett Simatic PCS-7 styrsystem för att kontrollera turbinerna. För PCS-7 styrsystemet kan mjukvaran Simatic PDM (Process Device Manager) användas för diagnostisk analys av automations komponenter och intelligenta fältenheter. Målet med examensarbetet är att kunna varna tidigare för fel på automations komponenter och fältenheter så att man kan förebygga stillestånds tider som kan uppstå i en anläggning. Examensarbetet visar vad för slags funktioner Simatic PDM har och hur programmet kan utnyttjas i en anläggning.Examensarbetet innehåller en beskrivning av programmet Simatic PDM och PCS 7-styrsystemet.

An increased awareness about the global warming has created a demand for more information on how the climate is affected by different activities.This master thesis was initiated by Tricorona, a Swedish company that offers its customers analysis and calculation of their climate impact. Tricorona also supplies climate neutralisation with CERs, in accordance with the Kyoto protocol and controlled by the UN. This work demands updated emission factors for greenhouse gases. An emission factor gives information about the greenhouse gasintensity of a service or a product [kg CO2-eq./ functional unit].The purpose of this thesis is to examine how electricity, district heating, hotels, taxis, food and materials affect the climate and how emission factors for these areas can be calculated.This was done by reviewing and comparing different studies and by interviewing experts. The information was evaluated and recommendations on calculations and emission factors were made.The consumption of energy is the main source of greenhouse gas emissions for district heating, electricity, hotels, taxis and materials.

This case study has been conducted within the Swedish fitness chain World Class to explore the opportunities for knowledge development and transfers within franchise networks. We have interviewed the product manager at the World Class headquarter, the owner of a franchise club and a local product manager from the same facility. Our finding indicates that various forms of knowledge transfer occur within the World Class network, particularly in product development and sales. The transfer occurs within the framework set by World Class with regularly scheduled meetings. In addition informal networks provide other means of knowledge exchange between some units.

The purpose of this study is to give an overview about iron fortification from the view of technique and health. Example of a technical aspect is different iron compounds which are used for fortification like ferrous sulfate, ferrous fumarate and elemental iron. In the aspect of health the big question is if iron fortification can improve the health in reducing the prevalence of anemia. The study focuses on flour fortification with iron in Egypt and Iran and involves a literature study with scientific articles. Also information from WHO (World Health Organization), FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) and FFI (Flour Fortification Initiative) are used.Fortification means an intentionally increasing of the content of micronutrient in foods with the aim to improve the food quality and deliver a nutritional benefit to the consumer.

This thesis is based on design theory about how to build an application for the mobile platform, a scientific analysis and an application for grocery shopping and meal planning. The thesis also contains a valuation of the research and of the application. The valuation of the application was done by a usability test and an analysis of the results of the test.The application of the thesis has an easy navigation system, which is time saving and simple to use. Finding recipes with the associated ingredients is a quick fix. The search function can be used for searching freely after recipes as well as for separate ingredients. That makes it possible for the user to create own recipes from available ingredients.
From elevator pitch to organizational vision - How does the personal idea become an outspoken organizational vision?
The purpose of this dissertation is to create an understanding of how a personal idea in the mind of an entrepreneur becomes an outspoken vision in one biotech company. More specifically, for what purpose the vision is used at different stages, how it is communicated, its content and what impact previous visions have on future vision work and in order to reach a deeper understanding of how vision develops over time and how it is used we have employed a qualitative approach based on a case study. The theoretical framework starts with the concept of vision and related concepts. Furthermore, the entrepreneur?s and manager?s usage of vision is examined.

Land management for food production is a fundamental human activity and one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century will be to increase the global food to accommodate a world growing to 10 billion or more people, while undergoing climate change. The increasing temperature and the current and projected increase in concentrations of CO2 lead to concern over possible impacts on agricultural pests. This assay is summarizing the knowledge of weeds in a changing climate in Sweden. Global warming and other climatic changes will affect the growth, phenology, and geographical distribution of weeds. The climate change will also affect the weed composition indirect by causing changes in the agriculture.
Biståndshandläggare inom äldreomsorgen - mellan behov, lagar, riktlinjer och handlingsutrymme
This study is about care managers, who process in the care of the elderly, regarding to needs, rules, regulations, guidelines and their freedom of space. The purpose with this study is to understand how the care managers process out of the basis from the needs of the elderly, the municipal guidelines in relation to the caremanagers freedom of space.The study has a qualitative approach and is based on semistructured interviews with five different care managers.To analyze our interview material we have use the street-level bureaucrat theory by Lipsky and Johansson and the theoretical idea empowerment. Before we started our research about care managers we had an understanding in that the organization had an influence in the judgment of the needs of the elderly. Now we have an understanding in that the relative to the elderly is the one who wants to affect the care manager during the judgment of needs in what effort to make. Our study indicates that it exist insecurity regarding to the municipal guidelines, which was surprising. We thought that the guideline was something positive and a help full tool for the care managers.The result in our research points out that the guidelines makes insecurity instead of comfort.Our study shows that the care managers are contradictory regarding to their freedom of space. In the other hand they consider that their freedom of space is positive, but on the other hand when the municipal guidelines don´t work, they become worried and insecure.It´s the none working municipal guidelines who gives the care managers a huge freedom of space. Which leads to that the care managers is afraid of doing misjudgments. Our result don´t distinguish from other studies made in this subject area. .

The public sector has through the years been exposed to a rather radical alteration. The aim with this alteration has been to make the public sector more effective. It?s a dynamic society that Norrbottens läns landsting (NLL) operates in today and it is therefore of great importance that the managers get a solid foundation to rely on, since they have a central role in the ambition for efficiency. Another reason to educating the managers is that NLL can secure the future pension losses.

Control and comparison of various cleaning methods on restaurants in Södra RoslagenThe purpose of this report is to find out and analyze the efficiency of cleaning methods in restaurant kitchens. The investigation was carried out through unannounced inspections at 89 restaurants in Södra Roslagen (municipality of Danderyd, Täby and Vaxholm). ATP-measuring was done on a plate, a knife, a bench surface and a cutting board. The ATP-method measured the amount of food residue on equipment and working surfaces after cleaning, with a luminometer and swabs. Restaurant staffs were asked to describe in detail how and when the last cleaning was carried out on the surface.

Problemställning: Vilka, för produktsäkerheten och spårbarheten, kritiska punkter finns det inom den studerade livsmedelsförsörjningskedjan?
Hur bör de kritiska punkterna bäst hanteras/åtgärdas/förbättras?
Syfte: Syftet med examensarbetet är att utvidga begreppet kritiska punkter, från att enbart fokusera på produktsäkerhet, till att även innefatta för spårbarheten kritiska punkter i informationsflödet samt relationerna företagen emellan. Vidare syftar examensarbetet till att ta fram en modell för att hantera försörjningskedjans utvidgade kritiska punkter.
Metod: Examensarbetet är en studie av en hel försörjningskedja, bestående av ett antal fristående och icke-linjärt interagerande enheter, i ett livsmedelssammanhang. Studien av denna är utförd inom systemparadigmet och det angreppssätt som använts en fallstudie.

Previous business studies have so far primarily focused either on art as an investment or on the gallery?s activities. This thesis takes an explorative approach and aims to shed a light on the art collector?s behavior on the Swedish market for contemporary art.
Daglig dokumentation för säker livsmedelshantering - En pilotstudie för miljöförvaltningen
Som en pilotstudie för Göteborgs miljöförvaltning har vi undersökt ett förenklat sätt att do-kumentera egenkontrollens kritiska styrpunkter enligt HACCP (?Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point?) -principerna för säkrare livsmedelshantering utifrån lagstiftningen som trädde i kraft 2006. Det sätt vi har studerat utgår ifrån Food Standard Agency, Englands motsvarig-het till Livsmedelsverket, sätt att dokumentera i handlingen ?Safe food better business?.I undersökningen lämnades blanketter ut till fyra offentliga måltidsverksamheter i två av Gö-teborgs stadsdelsnämnder. Dessa blanketter har sedan fyllts i av berörd personal under två veckor i samband med att de har använt sitt befintliga egenkontrollprogram för säkrare livs-medelshantering.
