Denna studie syftar till att åskådliggöra och jämföra arbetet med matematiksvaga elever i några skolor i Portugal och Sverige. Arbetet innehåller en litteraturgenomgång där tidigare forskning om ämnet matematiksvårigheter behandlas, vilka definitioner och orsaker som finns samt vilka åtgärder forskare föreslår. Arbetet innehåller även en empirisk del. Fyra speciallärare/specialpedagoger i Östergötland i Sverige har intervjuats kring hur de arbetar med elever med matematiksvårigheter i de lägre årskurserna i grundskolan. De intervjuerna har sedan jämförts med intervjuer med två lärarutbildare, en speciallärare, en specialpedagogutbildare och en klasslärare i Portoområdet i Portugal.

Bakgrund: I och med immigreringen som för varje år ökar, finns det nu många olika kulturer i Sverige. Invandrarna kommer alla någon gång att komma i kontakt med vårdpersonal. För att kunna ge en god individanpassad vård är det av stor vikt att ha kunskap om hur invandrarna upplever mötet med vårdpersonalen i Sverige. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva invandrares upplevelser av mötet med vårdpersonalen i Sverige. Metod: Metoden som använts är en litteraturstudie med kvalitativ ansats.

Denna studie undersöker om Sverige som produktland ger ett mervärde åt produkter relaterade till Sverige på den australiensiska markanden. Studien är grundad på en enkätstudie som utfördes på 67 personer i Toowoomba, Australien. Kopplingen till ett lands mervärde ligger i kundens uppfattning till de land de förknippar produkten med, något som kan förstärkas eller minskas. Studien visar att över 90 % av de tillfrågade kände till Ericsson, IKEA och Volvo medan drygt hälften kände till Absolut. De hade alla en starkare produktnisch än Sverige som nation.

The main purpose of our thesis is to discuss the subject e-books from a Swedish public library perspective. The aim of the thesis is to locate and analyse statistics in regards to lending electronic books in public libraries. With this background a text analyse have been done, which views different arguments about e-books. We have studied the current statistics about lending e-books to the public users, the statistic material was gathered from the two main providers of e-books, eLib and E-biblioteket. With this statistic report as a background, arguments from scientists, journalists and users of e-books have been studied.

The aim of this thesis is to research if and in that case how, marketing of Swedish public libraries is used as a possible work method in a time when they are marked by changes in the form of cut backs and technical innovations. With a strive to get an overview by the possible debate I have chosen to do a closer exam of 20 texts published in five of the biggest Swedish library publications during a period of 20 years. My research is based mainly upon Philip Kotler?s marketing theories regarding non-profit organization as well as Eileen Elliot de Saéz interpretations of these to a library context. The first part of the essay therefore consists of an introduction of these, as well as a rendering of their method of work, which shows the width of the conception of marketing.

This essay aims to investigate how Swedish Public Libraries market their activities in video games for youths. It also highlights how the library, on the basis of the unique opportunities of the video game medium, can develop this marketing to build a relationship with youths. The empiric evidence is based on a survey of answers given by 30 librarians responsible for video game collections, and qualitative telephone interviews with three of them. The essay?s theoretical framework is based on Philip Kotler and his co-authors? marketing theory which consists of five stages: Marketing research, segmentation, marketing mix, implementation and development.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how the public libraries work towards SFI (Swedish For Immigrants) based on the views of the overseeing librarians. To study this we have asked the following research questions:What distinguishes the public libraries? work towards SFI according to the responsible librarians? What distinguishes the communication between SFI teachers and the librarians according to the responsible librarians? What opinions are held by the librarians in regards to their work with SFI?We have used a semi structured interview method with seven librarians in charge of the activities with SFI at small and medium sized public libraries in a rural area of Sweden. The theoretical framework is composed of Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen?s model for analysis of the local public library profile and the authors? definition of collaboration.

The technical evolution has a great influence on the public libraries. Electronic media becomes more and more common. This Master´s thesis is based upon the Swedish Library law 9§ (SFS 1996:1596) which says: Public- and school libraries should pay special attention to children and teenagers by offering books, information technology and other media, adapted to their needs, to encourage development of language and stimulate reading. From this point of view we have examined why the children´s departments in public libraries offer CD-ROM games which are based upon characters from the literature, how they are used in the daily activity and how they can contribute to the development of the children´s department.We have made literary studies and empirical investigations including interviews, observation studies etc. The results from this studies shows that both young and adults appreciate the CD-ROM games.

Undersökningens syfte är att analysera hur Sverige, svensken och invandraren presenteras i läromedel i svenska som andraspråk. Dessa läroböcker är för många vuxna invandrare en dörr som leder till livet i Sverige då böckerna inte bara ger information om språket utan också om svenska traditioner, levnadssätt och hur man klarar sig i samhället.I resultatet framgår att läroböckerna ibland presenterar en stereotyp bild av landet Sverige och dess invånare. En del stereotyper kan anses vara positiva men en del är relativt negativa vilket ger ett dystert intryck. Vissa generaliseringar förekommer också vilket kan vara ett problem då läsaren, d.v.s. invandraren får en skev och vinklad bild av verkligheten..

Denna artikel undersöker kulturella skillnader mellan Sverige och Lettland samt hur dessa skillnader påverkar verksamhetsstyrningen för svenska företag som etablerat verksamhet i Lettland. Artikeln utgår från Hofstedes teorier kring kulturella skillnader. Resultaten av enkäter som delades ut till respondenter i Sverige och Lettland visar att länderna skiljer inom dimensionerna maktdistans, osäkerhetsundvikande samt maskulinitet. För att undersöka hur dessa resultat påverkar verksamhetsstyrningen har sedan intervjuer genomförts med företagsledare på svenska företag i Lettland. Resultaten visar att skillnader inom dimensionen maktdistans framförallt leder till centraliserat beslutsfattande och mer direktstyrning i Lettland jämfört med i Sverige.

Uppsatsen handlar om huruvida gällande rätt i Sverige rörande anmälningsskyldigheten i 14 kap. 1 § SoL motsvarar de krav vilka uppställs i Barnkonventionen. De artiklar i Barnkonventionen som uppsatsen främst rör är artikel 3 och 19. I dessa artiklar framkommer att barnets bästa alltid skall sättas i främsta rummet och tillvaratas, samt att Sverige måste ha tillräckliga och effektiva skyddsåtgärder så att barn skyddas.

This bachelor thesis? purpose is to investigate how purchase librarians work with foreign language collection management. Since about 15% of the citizens of Sweden are born abroad or have a foreign background, the subject of investigation becomes relevant because it touches a wide user group of the public library.Interviews were conducted with four librarians responsible for purchasing of foreign literature. The purpose of these interviews was to investigate which underlying strategies and thoughts are used as a basis for purchasing.Since the library act does not include guidelines regarding the content of the foreign literature collection, how is the literature chosen and to what purpose?As a theoretical framework a self-developed model was used to categorize the foreign literature into its different functions.

The aim of this master?s study is to examine the function of the public library in the local community at present. I have searched for the answers to the following questions: Which position has the public library in the local cultural policy? What characterizes each library and which are the priorities? What is the local profile of the public library? What cooperation partners does the public library have and what do they mean to the library? Does the public library intensify the local community in any way? To answer this, I have made three qualitative case studies. Interviews and collection of documents were carried out in three different communities.

I uppsatsen undersöks hur prisområdesstrukturen på Nordpool samt överföringskapaciteter mellan Sverige och Nordpools övriga prisområden påverkar det svenska spotpriset på Nordpools spotmarknad. Problemet med hög grad av marknadskoncentration hos svenska elproducenter motverkas av att Sverige ingår i en större marknad via Nordpool. Uppsatsens frågeställning har besvarats genom att isolera effekten av ansträngda överföringskapaciteter och prisområdesstruktur i en regressionsanalys. Resultatet visar att det svenska spotpriset stiger när storleken på den svenska importen närmar sig den tillgängliga importkapaciteten. Det svenska spotpriset sjunker som en effekt av att Sverige utgör ett gemensamt prisområde tillsammans med övriga Nordpool.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the quality notions used by the library personnel responsible for the video game department at Malmo City Library. Furthermore, the thesis aims to assess how these notions of quality relate to properties of the actual collection of video games. The empirical results are based on interviews with the responsible library personnel. The result is then analyzed by an interpretation of Carl Gustav Johannsen?s library adapted, theory-based, model of quality definitions.
