Periods of hypoxia are a recurring issue in Brunnsviken. Main factors that trigger hypoxia in Brunnsviken are eutrophication  due to anthropogenic emission of nutrients, stratification in the water column due to salinity and temperature differences  that prevents mixing and a sill inlet that prevents water exchange. As an attempt to improve the oxygen levels, bottom water is pumped from Brunnsviken causing aerated surface water to flow back into the basin.  The objective of this Master?s thesis was to study the change in dissolved oxygen levels due to pumping.

The way to approach archival description has also changed, from focusing on the static preservation of archival records, to documenting the transactions of organisations, and to clarify operational processes. The discussion about the general purpose of the archival discipline, and its place in a changing world, has led to a new approach to archival description.

Syftet med denna undersökning var att utforska den lärandes perspektiv genom att lära oss spela ett nytt instrument. Genom att försätta oss i en sådan situation och sedan granska våra egna läroprocesser hoppades vi kunna bemöta våra framtida elever med djupare förståelse. Vi ville på detta sätt försöka synliggöra faktorer som påverkar vårt lärande och bilda oss en uppfattning om hur vi påverkas av dessa.Undersökningen utfördes med oss själva som studieobjekt där vi under hela processen noggrant förde dagbok över våra upplevelser, både skriftligt och med ljudande inspelningar. Inspelningarna bifogas som en bidragande gestaltning till det avsnitt som kallas Processen. I Processen förekommer diskuterande tolkningar som fullföljs i Epilogen.Vår studie visar att det är svårt att till fullo sätta sig in i en nybörjares roll.

This is achieved by reducing loss of heat through the buildingenvelope and to take advantage of the passive heat from solar radiation,installation and heat sources like people living in the house.This project has been made with help of Anebyhus and one of their model houseshave been examined from the report?s issues, including Anebyhus?s energyperformance, requirements for the manufacturing and assembly, how theenvelope must be improved to fulfill the requirements for the Passive House andwhat energy calculation programs are available on the market.The report aims to provide solutions for energy efficient houses that are adaptedfor production of house building.Two visits to Anebyhus has been done to study their manufacture and assemblyof building elements.

The last decade has created an increasing pressure on companies to decrease their impact on the environment and to increase their effectiveness of recycling the company?s resources, especially for the steel industry. Companies have also started to realize the economic aspects of an effective internal reverse logistics. In the past the value of an effective internal reverse logistic was something that companies tend to underestimate and there are few academic studies done in this area. The purpose of this essay has been to identify key factors to create an effective in plant storage, transport, sorting and handling of returned steel. From these factors a generalized model for creating an effective return steel flow will be developed.

The construction industry has not undergone the same logistical development as the manufacturing industry; this, in combination with increased material price, leads to the fact that the construction industry must be improved. This master thesis is a part of the research cooperation Brains & Bricks goal of reducing production costs for the construction sector by 25 percent. Brains & Bricks is a cooperation between Linköping University, Peab and Katrineholms municipality. The master thesis aims to identify improvements in the flow of material, the Supply chain operation reference, SCOR, model has been used and the work has been carried out on one of Peab?s construction sites. At present the business is characterized by bad communication both between the construction site and the office as well as between the construction site and suppliers.

Tillämpning av en markprofilmodell för hydrologiska beräkningar i avrinningsområdesskala

There is a great need to reduce nutrient leaching from arable land into lakes and oceans. By using several different types of models it has previously been possible to describe nutrient losses in a catchment area with a minimum unit of sub-catchment level. At present, it is instead desirable to model a smaller catchment with an opportunity to re-connect the results to the corresponding fields in the catchment. Such models already exist but they are not fully able to properly describe Swedish conditions and land characteristics in our region.With the approach of creating such a model, SLU has developed a project with this work as its first stage. The model is expected to be created under the working name SWE-model which stands for Soil Water Environment and is in this first stage supposed to apply the SOIL model in catchment scale. During the procedure to describe the first step in the process of developing such a model adapted to Swedish conditions and which works in the catchment scale with an area of about 10-30 km2, focus has been set on calculating the transport of water flow from different hydrological response units. Regardless of the processes occurring in the soil after the water has been added, it is assumed that all the water which flows from each simulated unit is drained.In the first step the hydrologic response units were identified based on land use and soil type in the study area. With the help of a script with functions that retrieve and transform data, certain units were chosen for simulation. The script was also created in this project. Finally, the model results were aggregated and summarized for each unique unit, for each sub-catchment, and also for the whole catchment.From the results it is possible to see similarities in the flow dynamics between modeled and measured data. The efficiency coefficient has been calculated to correspond to the mean of the measured values for the whole simulation period. With an automated calibration process the model should be able to perform better. The volume error gives an indication of overestimation from the model..

Nyfikenhet i skolans värld : Vad elever i montessoriklass beskriver som lustfyllt lärande

Studien har genom intervjuer i fokusgrupper undersökt vad elever i montessoriklass erfar som lustfyllt i sin lärmiljö.  Elevernas svar har satts i relation till den forskning som finns kring motivation och framgångsfaktorer för lärande samt till montessoripedagogiken.De teorier som studien utgår ifrån är olika motivationsteorier, teorier relaterade till motivation samt montessoripedagogik. Även framgångsfaktorer för lärande beskrivs. Tillvägagångssättet i analysen av fokusgruppsintervjuerna har inspirerats av fenomenografisk metodansats. De två forskningsfrågor som studien ger svar på är vad elever på mellanstadiet och högstadiet, i de undersökta montessoriklasserna, framför som orsaker till att de känner nyfikenhet att lära sig mer i skolan, samt vilka av dessa faktorer som är kopplade till montessoripedagogikens principer, och om de går att överföra till all undervisning. Resultatet av studien visar att eleverna pekar ut läraren som viktig för huruvida de ska känna nyfikenhet och lust i lärandet.
