The purpose of this study was to gain a clearer picture of how after-school-care teachers? work with fundamental values in after-school care, both practically and theoretically based on the curriculum Lgr 11. I wanted to acquire a broader understanding of the school's core values and what kinds of tools teachers used to cope with their task. I proceeded with two questions:How does after-school care proactively work with core values based on gender, ethnicity and class?How does the work on value issues at after-school care centers compare with Lgr 11?In my study, I used literature studies and a qualitative analysis of five interviews with afterschool care teachers.

This study describes how a larger investment by a private company in the northern interior can affect a municipality?s economy. The mobility to the municipality is expected to increase and some of the direct and indirect effects that this investment can implicate on their economy are discussed. The method for this study is qualitative. Interviews have been made with the initiative owner of the company LHG Learning Center and with civil servants in the municipality of Lycksele. The conclusions drawn in this study are that the establishment of LHG Learning Centers in Lycksele will include both opportunities and risks for the municipality?s future.

Aim: The aim of this study is to understand why people have changed their preferred community over time. What are the main factors when changing to a new one?Method/material: The method has consisted of personal interviews with six different people in the ages between 20-22 and of different gender. The main material that has been used in this essay is the theory of Uses and Gratifications as explained by Denis McQuail, the theory of Convergence culture by Henry Jenkins and the theory about Communites of Practice by Etienne Wenger.Main results: This study shows a heavy affection that the use of communities often centers round the people around the community, rather than the functions that the communities themselves provides. Having people that you know on the community you choose is a vital part for people or at least having the support of other people and changing to another community at the same time.

I Sverige och utomlands har man på senare tid sett framväxten av ett nätverk av s.k. Science Centers (SC). Dessa SC har som viktigaste syfte att öka besökarnas naturvetenskapliga intresse. När det gäller elever från högstadiets senare år kan detta ökade intresse för naturvetenskap t ex visa sig i form av en ökad benägenhet hos eleverna att söka sig till ett naturvetenskapligt inriktat gymnasieprogram.Vi har utvecklat och använt en enkät-baserad metod för att undersöka den påverkan på elevers intresse för naturvetenskap som ett besök på SC har. Enkäten är lämplig att användas för elever från grundskolans senare årskurser.

This thesis examines if commercial-of-the-shelf (COTS) systems meet the needs in different types of organizations. This was investigated through a case study of a COTS system. The system is built for contact centers and used in different types of organizations. Contextual inquiries with users from six different organizations were held together with interviews with stakeholders of the system. This gave an understanding for how the system is used and the needs to be met in the different organizations were recognized.

The aim of this study was to get a deeper understanding of how employees at NCC Construction Sverige AB experience health promotion activities. The purpose was to identify and uncover the process of meaning constitution concerning health promotion within each subjective individual. To achieve this deeper understanding the participants were asked to answer a carefully formulated phenomenological question in a self-report. The received reports where analysed according to the method of Meaning Constitution Analysis. The result showed that both office workers and construction workers exclusively refer health promotion to bodily functions even though there where some differences in type of activity they focused.

Det utkristalliserades fyra teman angående hur telefonsäljare vill att medlyssning ska gå till samt vad telefonsäljare upplever som främjande respektive hämmande i medlyssningssituationen: Organisatoriska förutsättningar vilket innefattar coachernas arbetssituation samt uppläggningen av säljproceduren; Coachens stil där hjälpande och stödjande kontrasteras mot kontrollerande och värderande; Coachens explicita kunskap inom produkt, marknad och försäljningsteori; Ramar vilket omfattar de yttre formerna för medlyssning. Our essay is about children's exercise of power, oppression or domination in games or when playing on school grounds with one and other. We thought it would be interesting to look into how children in preschool and up to the fifth grade use power acts respective power plays in leisure-time. During four days we visited two different after-school center and carried out observations of children during the school day and later inside the recreation centers during leisure activities. In order to analyze our empirical material in relation to power, we have used Magnus Hörnqvist (2012) interpretation of Michel Foucault's theory of power - Another Foucault. Examensarbetet behandlar delaktighetsbegreppet i fritidshemsverksamheten. Syftet med vår undersökning var att se hur delaktiga eleverna är i fritidsverksamheten och hur pedagogerna arbetar med elevdelaktighet. Alla har rätt till en likvärdig utbildning men hur det kommer till uttryck i verksamheten kan se olika ut beroende på de förutsättningar som finns. Undersökningen belyser pedagogers bristande kompetens att tillgodose elevers behov. Via den empiriska insamlingen framkommer det att pedagogerna som intervjuats är överens om vad begreppet delaktighet innebär.

Syfte och frågeställningar.Syftet med studien var att hos äldre studera förändring av fysisk kapacitet, i början och i slutet av en tvåmånadersperiod utan ledarledd träning eller rådgivning. Frågeställningarna ser ut som följande: Ses någon förändring av olika kroppsmått och fysiologiska testresultat (kondition, styrka, rörlighet och balans) i början jämfört med i slutet av en åttaveckorsperiod utan ledarledd träning? Hur skiljer sig förändringen mellan för- och eftertester för personer som fått ledarledd träning och rådgivning jämfört med en grupp som inte fått det men genomfört samma fysiologiska tester under motsvarande tidsomfång?Metod.I Testgruppen fullföljde 18 personer (7 män och 11 kvinnor) med en medelålder på 71 (66-78) år. Motsvarande siffror för Träningsgruppen, deltagare i hälsoprojekt vårterminen 2013, var 37 (16 män och 21 kvinnor), 70 (64-84) år. För att kunna mäta och jämföra eventuella förändringar utförde deltagarna två standardiserade förtest innan projektets start och åtta veckor senare ett eftertest varpå det kunde noteras eventuella förändringar utan att deltagarna påverkats mellan testerna med varken fysisk aktivitet, rådgivning eller kosthållning.

The Swedish energy company Vattenfall is currently the owner of the district heatingsystems in Nyköping and Motala. To be able to also offer cooling solutions tocustomers are becoming more and more important. This report describes the resultsof an investigation of the cooling market in the two cities and the potential needs forcooling today and in the coming 20 years. The total potential for the coming 20 yearsis estimated to be roughly 17 MW for Nyköping and 9 MW for Motala.Two possible district cooling systems for each of the two city centers was modeledand a comparison was made between different cooling techniques namely absorptionand compressor chillers.Absorption chillers driven with district heating during the summer is one way ofincreasing the load in a combined heat and power plant and thereby the possibleelectricity generation. The cost of heat production must be low for absorption chillerto be able to compete as an alternative.
