This thesis aims at exploring a national collaborative gateway-service, PictureAustralia, hosted at the National Library of Australia. This will be done by means of investigating some underlying principles for descriptive standards and conventions as of the library discourse which is the objective of bibliographic control and access. The reason to do this is to bring some main features of these principles into the context of a cross-institutional cooperation between libraries, galleries/museums and archives in a picture database service. The attention will lay on the objectives of what functions the system is designed to perform to give access, as defined by Elaine Svenonius in the Intellectual Foundations of Information Organization 2000, and how these objectives will affect this particular database-service collocating performance, which is a system- and logical approach. Though, this study will be done in an explorative and qualitative way, by a case-study, which is to examine some sample metadata records emanated from different institutions in this project.

The operation is to steer the front of a loading trolley into the chamber of an autoclave, a so-called docking. It is therefore of great importance to examine which different factors that tend to effect the female representation at this level. This essay investigates policy instruments in use to achieve environmental policy integration in the EU's transport sector respectively fisheries sector. The point of departure is a theoretical discussion about governance and the use of different policy instruments for environmental management at the EU-level. The focal point is the argumentation that regulatory policy instruments alone cannot achieve environmental policy integration satisfactory. By using Jordan et al's classification of so called "new" environmental policy instruments (market-based instruments, voluntary agreements and ecolabels) as complements to regulatory measures, the essay investigates whether the first-mentioned are used within the two sectors.

För snart tjugo år sedan ratificerade Sverige den internationella köplagen United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, CISG, med reservation för konventionens del II om ingående av avtal. Detta eftersom Sverige tillämpar löftesprincipen vid ingående av avtal och CISG utgör en kompromiss mellan löftes- och kontraktsprincipen. Sverige är tillsammans med de övriga nordiska länderna ensamt om att reservera sig mot denna del och har därför av andra staters näringsliv kommit att ses som provinsiellt samt bakåtsträvande. Den globala handeln blir allt viktigare för Sverige och det svenska näringslivet har till följd av detta ställt krav på landets ledande makthavare att dra tillbaka reservationen och att anta den avtalsrättsliga delen.
