Making Money in a Dirty Business

Academic research concerning how to determine the power situation in a supply chain where an investment product supplier is involved did not exist. Therefore new models has been developed that analyses the power relations and maps out the power situation in a supply chain. In the future these models can be applied on similar cases by modifying the included parameters. The new models show that case company FAS should focus on the big producers of garbage bag which are Trioplast, Rullpack and Miljösäck. By strengthen the brand FAS can make more money in these relations.

The purpose is to analyze if the students have any use of their computer education at a senior high school level or if there is a demand for them to proceed studying. Does the students background have any importance or is it their own motivation that makes the student advance to higher education.In this report we ask ourselves the question, if the students have any use of the knowledge gained at senior high school in computer studies at a higher level. Do the students have any chance for employment based on their senior high school grades in computer studies after graduation?  Do the schools that follow the senior high school guidelines within programming and databases give these students an advantage towards those that have not received the same fundamental education?The method used for the survey is a group questionnaire.  The questionnaire was distributed at one and the same time and then collected to examine the results. The survey results showed that students who seek work based only on their senior high school grades, received only a temporary position for different lengths of time.

Perceptions of domestic solar systems : a study on non-adopter views of a new technology

The world is currently facing a huge severe challenge in handling the issue of climate change. One of the ways to lower the green house gas emissions, which is seen as one of the main contributor to the climate crisis, is to use renewable technologies such as for example photovoltaic (PV) systems. PV-systems are also suitable for so called micro production, small scale energy production facilities, since it can be placed on practically any rooftop with the right solar conditions. In Sweden the usage of PV-systems has not yet gotten any wider spreading, even though the solar radiation conditions are very similar to countries that produce a lot of solar energy, as for example Germany. The aim of this paper is to describe non-adopter perceptions of PV-systems. The study holds a qualitative approach using deep interviews for data collection.

GPS is perhaps the future in agriculture. The next years will show it but the precision becomes only better and better and the number of users becomes only more and more. This work shows experiences from today's users and how the profitability can be improved on a farm with normal plant cultivation. The aim is to show how big the actual advantage can be to have a GPS and how good precision there is with the equipment. John Deere and Trimble are the big producers of GPS equipment to the agriculture.

Born Global-företags internationaliseringsproces : En fallstudie av det svenska företaget Wrapp

Traditionella internationaliseringsmodeller, såsom Uppsalamodellen, har under de senaste decennierna utmanats av internationaliseringsprocesser utförda av företag beskrivna som Born Globals. De internationaliseras tidigt och uppnår en utländsk försäljningsvolym på minst 25% inom företagets första tre år. Dock beskrivs tillvägagångssättet som mer individuellt än i de traditionella modellerna. Uppsatsens syfte är att studera Born Global-fenomenet baserat på en fallstudie av Wrapp, där det tillvägagångssätt och de interna faktorer som möjliggjort internationaliseringsprocessen kartläggs samt utreds för graden av överensstämmelse med det befintliga teoretiska ramverket. Slutsatserna inkluderar att de möjliggörande faktorerna överensstämmer i hög utsträckning med de teoretiska förutsägelserna, med undantag för några avvikelser såsom synen på "First-mover advantages" samt tillvägagångssättets tämligen opportunistiska karaktär.

This thesis emphasizes the importance of understanding the employees? attitude and motivation towards their workplace at a company that works in the advertising business. An example company; thcommunication agency PS Communication in Stockholm, was used for the empirical part to investigate the purpose. The topic is interesting since the company works in a fast changing environment with new techniques,tools and professionals and the company is also going through an expansion that include many new recruitments.The purpose in this thesis is as follows: ?the purpose of this study is to elucidate the fate of attitude and motivation of employees in relation to the workplace during business expansion, if performance is reduced and competition increases.?The analysis and results shows that attitudes andmotivation among the employees in the workplace has deteriorated, the employees agree that it is due to expansion the company is undergoing.

The purpose of this study is to examine how textile companies are using "green arguments" in their marketing strategy and how these arguments affect the competitiveness on the market for each of the six companies.The survey that was conducted is based on qualitative interviews with managers responsible for environmental issues in the field of marketing. The purpose of the survey was to examine how companies are using ?green arguments" in order to create competitive advantages. We have chosen to limit the study to the textile industry with the study being carried out in six different companies. The two main theories that make up most of the theoretical framework are Porters five forces and the marketing mix.The survey showed that companies today are using green arguments in their marketing strategy to gain competitive advantages, but only to a certain extent.

This study is based on discussions among Swedish brass teachers about teaching other brass instruments than their main instrument. Why do some choose to teach only with the help of their main instrument while others use their secondary instruments as well? What are the advantages and disadvantages and how do they look upon other ways of thinking in this matter?In addition, the study examines brass teachers? views on the balance between pedagogical and instrumental skill, as well as their views on teaching sound, technique and expression in relation to the age of the student.A questionnaire was used and anwered by 24 teachers with teaching experience in municipal music schools ranging from 7 months to 35 years. The results indicate that pedagogical skill is always important, whereas the importance of instrumental skill increases as the student gets older and more experienced. The advantage of teaching with the help of the main instrument is that one always keeps a high musical and technical level.

As a guitarbuilder it is an advantage if you can control and understand what is creating the character of the tone. To approach this vast jungle of variables that controls the tone in a guitar, I built two guitars and in one, guitar 2, reduced the thickness of soundboard, back and sides.The purpose was to compare the guitars and establish if there was a significant difference and what it was, in the guitars ability to produce sound. The thought was also to try the thesis: loud but short, long but moderate tone. Also if a lighter built guitar has an advantage in producing a loud but short ton and vice versa.The instruments has been examined by five guitarist, one guitarbuilder and a professor in Speech, music and hearing at KTH in Stockholm.The relative obvious conclusion is that guitar 2 is a bit louder and has a clearer base and treble but the more part of the guitarists fancied guitar 1 better. This one has got more mass fore the tone to stay alive with.

Danmarks export av grisprodukter : är det en fördelaktig affär?

Danmark är ett land som har en utvecklad industri inom grisproduktion, där största delen går till export. Inom jordbrukssektorn i Danmark är det grisarna som står för det största exportvärdet. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur denna handel kan motiveras genom studier av komparativa fördelar. För att kunna analysera grisproduktionen och dess påföljande export, undersöks nyckelkoncepten till drivkrafter bakom handel. I detta arbete är två olika index nyttjade som jämförelse för att räkna ut de komparativa fördelarna -Balassa?s revealed comparative advantage är det index som är äldst och mest använt inom litteraturen. Det lider dock av flera brister.

RFID utifrån slutkonsumenternas perspektiv - Strategisk förändring i olika branscher

RFID är en teknologi som skulle kunna leda till betydande förändringar för ett företags strategiska referensram. Teknologin härstammar från andra världskriget, men det är först på senare år som det introducerats tillämpningar som berör slutkonsumenter direkt. Syftet med denna utredning är att undersöka slutkonsumenternas inställning till en potentiell framtida implementering av RFID. Vi utvecklade ett instrument för att kunna mäta om det finns några skillnader i inställningen till RFID mellan olika branscher. I en förlängning visar resultatet hur de undersökta branschernas strategiska referensramar kan komma att förändras.
