Textbooks are a very influential medium considering the fact that they often introduce students to information they have never read or heard about before, and as such they become very important in forming students? opinions on different matters. In this study I have taken a closer look at five textbooks in history that are currently being used in the Swedish upper secondary school. My aim has been to find out how East Asia is pictured and also how much space East Asian history is given in these textbooks with the postcolonial theory as theoretical basis. My study shows that East Asia is given very little space compared to Europe in these books, with an average of less than a twentieth of the number of pages that deal with European history.

This report is a hermeneutic analytical study of a practical pedagogical situation. For three occasions I observed my own practice as a dance teacher and how a moment, choreographic approach in the governing documents for upper secondary school GY11 was executed in a group of dance students. The part is formulated in the course objectives for the courses on the arts program under the topic Dansgestaltning with focus on choreographic approach. The study is based on a socio-cultural thinking but also takes into account the prevailing gender theories and focuses on how the process of formulation level, through the transformation level is portrayed in the realization level of the dance regarding choreographic approach. The study illustrates educational research from both a dance perspective and a school development perspective.

This study will focus on how patients that suffer from self-injurious behaviours experience the relation between their self and body according to some professionals. The purpose is to enlighten why a person who has mental problems chooses to injure his or her body. We believe that the reason behind this is based on the early attachment between the parent and child. We also believe that a person only continues with this behaviour if he or she gains from it. The research questions this study raises are:· How does a person with self-injurious behaviour experience the relationship between their body and their self?· What is the effect of self-injurious behaviour on the body and what is the effect on the relationship between their body and their self.· How did the relationship between body and self evolve?This study is qualitative and is based on interviews from our respondents of whom all work or have worked with self-injurious behavioural patients.

När en person drabbas av hjärntumör sker det inte bara stora förändringar i den sjukes liv utan även för närstående som finns runt om kring. Närstående har en betydande roll som kan liknas med vårdgivare för den sjuke. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva upplevelser av att vara närstående till en person som drabbats av hjärntumör. Tretton vetenskapliga studier analyserades med hjälp av kvalitativ manifest innehållsanalys. Analysen resulterade i fem slutliga kategorier; att känna sig splittrad i en övermäktig situation, livet känns osäkert och krävande, att ge stöd och hopp till den sjuke, komma till insikt om omgivningens betydelse samt förändrat liv leder till ett nytt normalt för familjen.

Bakgrund: Stroke är en sjukdom som innefattar olika skador som uppstår i hjärnan som orsakas av en emboli eller en trombos som täpper till kroppens blodkärl där en förträngning finns. Detta gör att hjärnans celler inte får syre. Cellerna dör och en skada uppstår. Tre av fyra som insjuknat i stroke får kommunikationssvårigheter i form av afasi som resulterar i svårigheter att tala och förstå. Tidigare forskning har visat att personer som har afasi är beroende av den icke-verbala kommunikationen.

Problem: The main problem this thesis brings up is what impact factors like trust, commitment, communication between a company and its costumers and value can have on costumer satisfaction on the basis of a relationship perspective.Purpose: The purpose with this thesis is to describe the importance of factors that can have an impact on customer satisfaction on the basis of a relationship perspective. To do this the author has looked into a company called Q-steps and conducted an investigation on their costumers opinion of their relationship with the company.Method: An interview was held with Q-steps CEO Sören Levén as the basis of the thesis, as well as a questionnaire that was sent to the company?s existing costumers over the web.Theory: In the thesis the author uses a model that describes factors that can have an impact on costumer satisfaction on the basis of a relationship perspective. This model is based on theories within relationship building in service companies.Conclusion: To be able to develop good relationships to their customers and as a result of this increase the level of costumer satisfaction, Q-steps has to take different variables into consideration. The main focus in this matter should lay on the variables that to a great extent affect the level of costumer satisfaction.

In this essay the aim is to examine what an analysis of records of the Swedish phenomenon called the ?mara? or nightmare can tell us about gender relations in the nineteenth century Swedish peasant society. From Snorre Sturlasson to studies done in the present day I go through records and the people who has written them for answers to my questions. I use the methods sex/gender and Michel Foucault?s perspective of power and my main material I study is records from DAG.With this essay I take you through methods, and descriptions of the ?mara?.

Swedish pre-school teachers are in the middle of a debate regarding a form of general school competence that today is criticized by mass media. The training and skill development that is used today is an important tool in the development of the organization as well as the people that work in them. This study aims to explain how this training actually is performed and the opinions of the pre-school teachers that actually finish the training. Previous research in this area has primarily been focused at the types of methods that exists from an executive standpoint. This study, instead, aims to shift that focus to the individual worker.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka när den svenska skattskyldigheten upphör. För att ge uppsatsen ett internationellt perspektiv undersöks vilka regler som gäller för att skatt-skyldigheten skall inträda i Storbritannien. Uppsatsen behandlar också hur en persons hemvist avgörs när han anses som bosatt i både Sverige och Storbritannien.En person som är bosatt eller stadigvarande vistas i Sverige är obegränsat skattskyldig i Sverige. Även den som är bosatt utomlands, men som tidigare har varit bosatt i Sverige och som fortfarande har väsentlig anknytning hit är obegränsat skattskyldig i Sverige enligt 3 kap 3 § inkomstskattelagen (1999:1229). Att en person är obegränsat skattskyldig innebär att han måste betala skatt i Sverige på alla sina inkomster, även om inkomsterna härrör från utlandet (3 kap 8 §).

The purpose of this study was to conduct a qualitative study with a case study research design, where we studied social workers and politicians view on honor-related problems of underage girls and boys in the age 13-17. We need knowledge about honor related violence and oppression in the political community and social services to work with honor-related problems. Political decisions affect how social work is developed around the honor problem; therefore, it is also important to highlight this direction for the work. It requires a knowledge complement of honor-related problems not to risk exposing the child to further risk from the family (Hedersförtryck, 2009). This is to live up to, for example the law of Social Services, school law and Human Rights (Hussein & Kinuka-Svedberg, 2010).

I Sverige drabbas varje år ca 150 000 personer av någon form av demenssjukdom. Demenssjukdom innebär vanligen minnesstörningar och personlighetsförändringar för dem som drabbas. Ur ett systemteoretiskt perspektiv påverkas även anhöriga när någon insjuknar i sjukdom och de anhöriga till personer med demenssjukdom kan få omorganisera hela sin vardag för att upprätthålla den tillvaro de lever i. Syftet var att beskriva anhörigas upplevda erfarenheter kring att leva med en person med demenssjukdom. Metoden som användes var systematisk litteraturstudie.

 The sawmill industry is a relative fragmented industry that is in an economic upswing andwith a hard competition. The customers have high demands on their suppliers and the highcustomer demand make it necessary for the companies to make a streamlining in planningand production. For that reason it is very important that the planning- and productionprocesses aren?t to complex and with a simple structure.The purpose of this report is to study and map out a marked out part of a planning- andproduction process, from adjust works to final delivery, at a company in the sawmill industry.Different methods have been used for the report, among others interviews and subordinatedmaterial.We have mapped out a marked out part of the planning- and production process at theCompany. This part we have studied, and we have analysed the process it self and otherthings connected to the process.We see the planning- and production process in the Company as complex.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka om det finns skillnader mellan kvinnor och män när det gäller utsatthet för negativa konsekvenser av andras drickande. Tidigare studier har påvisat att man kan bli negativt påverkad på många olika sätt men huruvida det skiljer sig för män och kvinnor är mindre utforskat. Som underlag används data från en frågeundersökning riktad till 2033 respondenter; 1011 män och 1022 kvinnor. De negativa konsekvenser som studeras i denna studie är följande: huruvida man blivit antastad eller besvärad av berusad person på offentlig plats eller privata miljöer, om man blivit fysiskt skadad eller fått ägodelar förstörda av berusad person, om man blivit utskälld eller förolämpad av berusad person samt om man blivit rädd för berusad person eller hållits vaken om natten på grund av oväsen orsakad av berusad person. Förutom att studera könsskillnader "i sig" kommer betydelsen av andra variabler att undersökas såsom ålder, utbildning, boendeort och egna alkoholvanor.

The field of coping has become more developed during the past decades but there is still a lot to be discovered and discussed. Theories of developmental psychology describe the possibility to map a general developmental structure of how the human mind expands. The aim of this study is to contribute to further research in whether there is a reason why we cope the way we do in relation to age. The questions answered in this study was, what coping two girls, whom lived during the Holocaust, used and how the coping found, were possible to interpret from theories of developmental psychology. In order to answer the questions asked a method called Template Analysis Style and three different theories have been applied.

Stockholm has in recent years experienced a strong population increase but despite that fact, the demand for housing has not been followed by enough housing contracts. According to forecasts, growth in population will further be continued upward. With more condominiums than rental units on the market, new apartments are too expensive to live in. This creates unsustainable problems for those in lower classes of society. Creating a housing market in the periphery of Stockholm is not sustainable from a social perspective.
