Bakgrund: De allt högre förväntningarna på leverantörer från kunderna när det gäller service har tvingat leverantörer att uppnå de krav som ställs på dem. Förändringar av kunders förväntningar på service har bidragit till att konkurrensen mellan många leverantörer blivit hårdare. För att en leverantör ska få leverera krävs det att kundens krav på leveransservice uppfylls. Dagligvarubranschen har genomgått stora förändringar. Den största förändringen skedde under 1960-talet när de flesta småbutikerna försvann och ersattes av större dagligvarubutiker med större sortiment.

The aim of this paper is to examine how gender roles are described in two children's books and compare the results against the curriculum Lgr11 's values. The compared books have different aims though one of the analyzed books claimed to go against the gender roles and the other one isn?t. The method of analysis is discourse analysis and deconstruction of the text by using Nikolajeva´s (2004) pattern for stereotype gender descriptions and Kåreland´s (2005) analysis of story actions based on gender representations in children's literature. The analysis of the texts shows that there are differences between how the two books characters are described depending on gender. What emerges is that in one of the books femininity is valued high but instead it lacks equality between the sexes, while in the second book the main characters are described as equal even though the other characters are described in a stereotypical way.

The aim of this study is to analyze Hinduism in upper secondary school textbooks using a gender-based perspective. The specific material used consists of four textbooks, whereof two are published prior to the curriculum Lgy 11 and two are published after Lgy 11. In order to analyze the textbooks the following methods are used: content analysis, picture analysis and comparative analysis. First, the contents and pictures of the textbooks are analyzed using theories on gender. After this analysis the results are compared to the relevant curriculum and its guidelines for the analyzed subject.

Purpose/Aim: This study is an analysis of the view on masculinity, male sexuality and creation of identity with the television series Queer as folk as a base. The analysis is partly based on a semiotic analysis of the representation of masculinity and male sexuality from an episode of the chosen television series Queer as folk, and partly based on a thematic analysis of focus group discussions with young men with different sexualities.Material/Method: This study is based on focus group interviews and a semiotic and thematic analysis. The focus groups consisted of three men in three different groups and were chosen on the criteria of gender and sexuality. All groups were presented with an episode of the television series Queer as folk to see how they perceived masculinity and male sexuality. Their discussions were analyzed with a thematic analysis and the television series Queer as folk with a semiotic analysis.Main results: The three analyzed characters in Queer as folk showed different representations of masculinity and male sexuality.

Detta examensarbete har utförts i samarbete med Fagerström Industrikonsult AB i Helsingborg. Fagerström Industrikonsult AB är ett ingenjörsföretag som har specialiserat sig på mekaniska och mekatroniska produkter inom flera branchområden. Ett av företagets tidigare projekt, som bland annat bygger på tryckbärande kärl och som kommer återanvändas för ett nytt projekt, är i behov av en uppdaterad analys mot utmattningsbrott.För att en tryckbärande utrustning skall kunna säljas och användas inom Europa, måste tillverkarna följa det Europeiska direktivet 97/23/EG, även kallat PED-direktiv. Detta direktiv sätter regler för konstruktion, tillverkning, märkning och kontroll. I Sverige finns denna beskrivning i Arbetsmiljöverkets författnings-samling (AFS 1999:4 2011).

Denna rapport tar upp för och nackdelar med att göra en webbaserad mobilapplikationgentemot en plattformsspecifik applikation för ett tidrapporteringssystem. Tre prototyperutvecklades för det existerande tidrapporteringssystemet XLTime hos Nlight Solutions.Prototyperna gjordes mot Android, Iphone och webbläsaren för dessa två plattformar.Efter att prototyperna iterativt gått igenom olika funktioner från en givenkravspecifikation går rapporten sedan in på att utvärdera hur funktionaliteten skiljer sigmellan de webbaserade och de plattformsspecifika applikationerna. Här kunde man se attswipe-funktionalitet betedde sig konstigt för vissa webbläsare, och att implementationenav input-element av datumtyp skiljer sig i webbläsaren. Felsökning och uppdatering avapplikationer var dock mycket snabbare för den webbaserade prototypen.Efter att funktionaliteten utvärderats startades användartest med 6 olika användare. Defick utföra ett antal uppgifter på varje prototyp och här kunde man se att olika problemuppstod.

Detta för att ge kunden en flexibel lösning, som inte är beroende av en specifik laddstation eftersom truckarna då har en anslutningskabel som ansluts till ett vanligt vägguttag. Det finns även en säkerhetsbrytare som kontakten måste placeras i efter laddning, säkerhetsbrytaren är till för att förhindra att trucken körs iväg med kontakten kvar i väggen. Arla är en stor kund till Linde Material Handling, de har haft synpunkter på anslutningskabel och efterfrågat en kabelvinda för förvaring av kabeln. Målet med detta examensarbete är att leverera en fungerande prototyp på förvaringen av kabeln i trucken som uppfyller kundens behov.

This study concerns how Muslims are portrayed in a choice of twelve news articles from Swedish dailies and tabloid newspapers on the aftermath of the film Innocence of Muslims published on YouTube. All articles are distributed in the newspapers Aftonbladet, Expressen, Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet in the period of September 11th, 2012 until September 30th, 2012.For this study, a qualitative text analysis has been embraced and focus has been on van Dijk?s Critical discourse analysis to the texts, with additional features from semiotics applied on the images.The theories consist of Critical discourse analysis, hegemony, ideology and power, postcolonialism and stereotyping.In the qualitative content analysis, concrete examples from the articles are retrieved and commented. These have been divided into various themes, which are trends that the authors have been able to distinguish in the analysis.The result shows that Muslims in the analyzed newspapers are portrayed as the others, unimportant and extremely religious, in a negative manner rather than a positive. Moreover the press has tendencies to generalize Muslims as a group.

Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to examine how students who also serve as writers of bachelor theses mainly utilizing the discourse analysis methodology comprehend the method of discourse analysis, and in what way the students bestow it in their research.Methodology and Material: This is a case study of the theses, which are also the text material, as it can be used examining numerous cases. Another beneficial factor is the relationship to the theoretical framework. One does not need to divorce the two institutions; instead they cooperate with each other.Results: A thoroughgoing apprehension of the Discourse Analysis is it being strongly attached to semiotics and how texts can be analyzed by the method in question to reveal institutions in our society alongside with mapping out the agency of words. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att studera kommunikationskanaler för att kunna värva fler medlemmar till en nystartad förening.Frågeställning - Hur kan Västerås Capoeira värva fler medlemmar, med fokus på en äldre målgrupp?Avgränsning - Studiet är att studera kommunikationskanaler och att avgränsa sig genom att fokusera på Rogers fyra huvudsakliga element för spridningsprocess av innovation.Metod - Den huvudsakliga uppgiften har utförts genom intervjuer och observationer på plats hos Västerås Capoeira.Teoretisk ram - Består av kommunikationskanaler som behandlar Rogers fyra element, vilka är innovation, kommunikationskanaler, tid och socialt system. Studien ska ge förståelse för den teoretiska grunden där Västerås Capoeira har en positiv och fungerande kulturarena.Empiri - Empiriska studien bygger på intervjuer och observationer på Västerås Capoeira lokaler i samlingslokalen Växhuset.Slutsats - Västerås Capoeira är en ny förening som har sin verksamhet inom Växhuset. Eftersom Capoeira är en sport som har en bred målgrupp vill vi kunna hjälpa föreningen med att hitta medlemmar i alla åldrar, från båda könen och från olika kulturer. Detta projekt är en ombyggnad av Tyresö Gymnasium till ett bostadskomplex, som bevarar ytterväggarna och den bärande konstruktionen i delen av skolan vald, för att sedan ändra om planlösningen och dra ett stråk genom byggnaden. Det ombyggdas gestaltning söker använda historiska referenser på ett sätt som gör att tillbyggnaden kontrasterar den kvarvarande skolan. Eftersom de yttre fasaderna bevaras skapar projektet en sorts oas, eller en gömd glänta, i Tyresö.  När ombyggnaden väl är klar, kommer skillnaden vara näst intill omärkbar utifrån, utom av vissa glimtar, för att locka in förbipasserande att ta en liten omväg och gå genom den skapade gränden. En stor del av det här projektet var vilket förhållningsätt jag skulle ha till historiska referenser. Utgångspunkten var att använda dem flitigt, något jag inte var så bevandrad i förut, i synnerhet inte förmodernistiska stilar (speciellt Art Nouveau) vilket var det jag ville använda. Jag ville varken enbart kopiera rakt av, eller använda element utan koppling till helheten i en annars modern byggnad.

This paper addresses the role of homework within the home and school environments using a qualitatively approach inspired by discourse analysis method and theory. The paper considers three newspaper articles to identify current attitudes and understanding regarding homework?s role. The paper?s structure brings results and analysis together allowing the discussion to be continuously extended and deepened.
