My field is Korpus and in this project I am investigating what role that plays for me as an artist connected to craft. To really get close to, and understand Korpus I have deconstructed it to find clues to why the silversmithing field looks like it does and how we got here. I believe Korpus has not yet come out of the closet for what it really can be. That it carries a great heritage of traditions and preconceptions that it would do well to shake off a little bit of. Can Korpus as an art field really survive in Sweden, where the Church has no power and silverware is no longer a need to demonstrate ones economic prosperity at an important dinner party? To help myself get closer to these objects I have given my own definition of Korpus.

AbstractManagement is a field that started getting attention in the beginning of the 20th century by Frederick Taylor. His publication is called the Principles of Scientific Management and is based on the principles of using scientific methods to find the best way of conducting each operation within a production facility. Many of Taylor?s principles may appear obsolete today but the matter of an effective material flow is still highly current. Efficiency is the relationship between the input into an operation and its result.

Utbyggnaden av vindkraftverk har ökat kraftigt i Europa och Sverige. Den explosionsartade utbyggnaden kommer i sin tur att ställa stora krav på byggföretagen som behöver optimera och effektivisera produktionen. Tidigare studier har visat att införandet av industriella metoder för platsgjutna betongkonstruktioner kan generera stora ekonomiska besparingar. De exempel på industriella metoder som kan tillämpas för vindkraftverksfundament och som denna rapport behandlar är självkompakteradbetong (SKB) och rullarmering. För att uppnå en god byggbarhet för konstruktionen bör byggföretagen redan i projekteringsfasen ha ett bra samarbete med projektören.

Mitt magisterarbete ?Utveckling Årsta Havsbad? är ett projekt som innefattar undersökning, skissutredning samt en gestaltnings idé kring det publika rummet i Årsta havsbad. Bakgrunden till mitt arbete kommer från att jag är uppväxt varje sommar i Årsta Havsbad vilket ger det en speciell plats i mitt hjärta. Årsta Havsbad har sucessivt åldrats och en upprustning behövs, hur får man in pengar till området?Efter efterforskningar hos Haningekommuns statsbyggnadskontor vet jag att en ny detaljplan för området arbetas fram.

The purpose of this study was to examine how a selection of social welfare officers based on the principle of the best interest of the child construct a minimum level of the material standard in a home. Another purpose was to examine whether different units with varying socioeconomic prerequisites in the municipality of Stockholm construct this level differently.The method used in this study was Sociology of Law and two focus groups were used for the gathering of the data. A social constructive theory, a class perspective using concepts of Bourdieu and a perspective of law were used to analyse the material of data.The results showed that the courses of action varied from enactment and the policies of the municipality of Stockholm, unspecified theories of the development of children, the conception of what is normal and what children needs, the context in which they work, the development of the society and what they estimate that children needs when attending school. The results also showed a difference between the two units concerning the minimum level of the material standard in a home.

Aim: The aim of this study was to examine health professionals´ experiences of giving advice regarding sleep to parents of infants and to perform and evaluate an intervention in the form of introducing information about the sleep of infants.Method: The study was designed as an intervention study with a qualitative approach where data was collected from two focus groups in the form of interviews. The intervention consisted of the information material Sugen på sömn. There were five participants whom three of them participated in the second interview. The interviews were processed by content analysis.Results: Health professionals´ experience of giving advice on sleep was summarized in three themes. The experiences of giving advice in interaction with parents, health professional themselves experienced the power to influence the parents with the advice they gave, while the parents' previous experience and knowledge impacted on how the advice came into practice.

Vid bygge av plansilor finns idag nästan uteslutande konstruktioner med prefabricerade betongelement att välja på. Dessa har för närvarande en maximal vägghöjd på 4 m och att bygga med tak blir för många en alltför dyr investering. Plansilofack byggda enbart i trä var vanligare förr och de byggdes ofta med tak men anses idag inte klara av högre höjder och större laster. Både trä som material och framförallt ett tak innebär flera fördelar för en plansilo men det måste vara ekonomiskt försvarbart att bygga och hållbart att använda. Målet med studien var att jämföra en 4 m silo uppbyggd av prefabricerade betongelement med en träkonstruktion framtagen av Suntetorp Säteri som kombinerar trästolpar med betong i väggarna och har tak.

Arbetet handlar om hur förskollärare arbetar med antalsuppfattning i förskoleklass och vad de utgår ifrån för material i detta arbete då deras läroplan Lgr 11 (Skolverket, 2011) inte har med något om antalsuppfattning. Förskoleklass är övergången mellan förskola och skola från hösten då eleven fyller sex år. Det är en frivillig skolform. Syftet med arbetet var att besvara följande frågeställningar: Hur arbetar lärare i förskoleklass med antalsuppfattning? Vilket material utgår lärarna från i sitt arbete med antalsuppfattning? Vi har använts oss av en kvalitativ undersökning.

Jag har genom en enkätundersökning tagit reda på vilken möbel det finns behov av i storadelar av världen med ambitionen att sedan designa den. Grundtanken utgår ifrån att manska tillverka möbler på den plats de ska säljas, med lokala material och tillverkare. På såsätt kan man kanske minska miljöpåverkan, göra designade möbler tillgängliga för fler,stärka länders nationella självkänsla och ekonomi och höja statusen på lokala material.Möbeln som alla behöver är en förvaringsmöbel. Jag har designat ett fristående, modulärtförvaringssystem. Det är flexibelt och lättillverkat och erbjuder samtidigt något nytt..

Regleringsdammen vid Hotagssjön i Jämtland skulle under år 2008 rivas då betongkvalitén var bristfällig och det saknades armering vilket lett till stora sprickor i konstruktionen. Den främsta orsaken till den dåliga kvalitén var betongens förvärrade alkali-kiselsyra-reaktionsskador, så kallade AKR-skador. Vid dammdimensionering tillåts inte eventuellt förekommande förankringsstag medräknas enligt RIDAS, kraftföretagens riktlinjer för dammsäkerhet (2006). Rivningen av Hotagens regleringsdamm, som ägs av Vattenregleringsföretagen AB, skapade här tillfälle att utreda dessa förankringsstag och bedöma dess tillstånd för att på så sätt skapa en diskussion för framtida dimensioneringsmetoder huruvida förankringsstag får medräknas eller ej. Projektet bedrevs av Vattenfall Research & Development AB och resulterade i detta examensarbete, som finansierades av Elforsk AB.

ABSTRACTPurpose/Aim: This essay aims to investigate what picture (obvious and hidden) of men and womens equality in our society that is to be found on DN Debatt.Material/Method: The material consists of 175 articles from DN Debatt during 2004. A content analysis and a rethoric analysis has then been used as a method of analysing the material.Main results: Men are much more represented on DN Debatt then women. The underlying picture of men and women that is presented sees men as being the ones who are in charge of all the important and ?big? decisions and questions in our society. Women on the other hand are pictured as, although they have reached higher positions in society, the ones who to a high degree focus on closer and more socially important issues.

Material handling is a term that includes all kinds of handling of material from a raw product to a finished one. ABB is active in the following segments; foundry, packaging and palletizing, metal industry and plastics industry.The demands for efficiency and reliability have been set very high in the industrial sector. Optimizing of the material handling will give the company higher cost-effectiveness. Around the robot there are different kinds of material flows, to optimize the cycle time, consisting of carriages combined in different ways.Motion Control is a complex system with main functions such as; positioning, synchronizing, indexing and more. The products in the system need to cooperate to make these functions possible therefore integration of motor- and servo products are important.

This paper presents the results from an osteological method study of the Ringsjöholm fishbone material. Ringsjöholm is located in Scania, southern Sweden and is 14C dated to 5960-5200 B.P. The aim of this paper is to critically analyse methods used on fish bone material in estimations of season. Three different approaches were used to estimate the fishing season at the Ringsjöholm settlement; 1) identified species, 2) size estimations of the pike based on Enghoffs (1994-95) regression formulae of os dentale, and 3) growth rings of the pike vertebrae.The identified species and the size estimations of the pike points to the fishing being active both during spring and summer. Growth rings analysis of the pike vertebrae didn?t give any quantitative results because of fragmentation.

Syfte: Syftet är att göra en redogörelse av förutsättningar för destinationsutveckling genom en film. I den här redogörelsen kommer vi att testa valda teorier på Öland.Metod: Vi valde att utgå från en deduktiv ansats för att på så vis kunna pröva våra valda teorier om filmturism på vårt empiriska material. Utifrån våra teorier kom vi fram till kategorier som vi utgick från vid insamlandet av vårt empiriska material. För att samla in information till vårt empiriska material intervjuade vi respondenter från Öland. När vi prövade teorierna på våra intervjurespondenter ställde vi frågor utifrån de kategorier vi kommit fram till.
