Genomic selection (GS) is used for selection of breeding animals of dairy cattle. GS is though not as extensively used within the beef industry. One reason for that is the low accuracy (rTI) of the breeding value that is of great importance for the final genetic gain. Causes to the low accuracy are high effective population size, a small reference population and a genetically differentiated population. There is however a market for genomic selection with High Density (HD) tests for beef cattle.

Alla som studerar på gymnasiet läser matematik A och blickar man bakåt har de i grundskolan uppnått minst målen för godkänd. Då matematikinnehållet är väldigt lika för skolår nio och gymnasiets A-kurs är det anmärkningsvärt att inte eleverna upplever repetition i innehållet i större utsträckning. Studiens syfte är att undersöka vad elever och lärare anser om övergången från grundskolan till gymnasiet i ämnet matematik. Metoden för genomförandet är kvalitativ i enkätform med öppna frågor. Resultatet visar att det finns viss problematik vad gäller variation och innehåll i förkunskaperna.

This thesis describes and analyzes how some early childhood educators and parents perceive cooperation in educational work with 4-5 years old children who have been diagnosed with autism. The work will examine which approach preschool teachers assume, the extent to which parents are involved in the work and how parents influence looks.The Literature section provides an overview of previous research on different pedagogical approaches with autistic children, what parental cooperation can mean for autistic children, and what advantages and disadvantages there are with cooperation between preschool teachers and parents.This work has a hermeneutic perspective. The method is based on a qualitative study where we used qualitative interviews with a hermeneutics base. The theoretical starting point for this work is the variety of theoretical perspectives.The final results/summary we came up with is that preschool teachers and parents of autistic children believe that parental cooperation in preschool has a crucial role in children's development and learning. Both sides believe that it is necessary to have a partnership, but we also came to the conclusion that parental cooperation, in addition to the positive, was also perceived as problematic to some degree..

The purpose of this study is to explore how teachers at Swedish upper secondary schools perceive the so-called value words and knowledge requirements of religious studies 1 as defined by the present curriculum for upper secondary school 2011 (Gy11) how they consider themselves to apply these value words in their teaching, and whether they consider the knowledge requirements as alegitimate basis for equivalentassessment. My studyis based oninterviewswithfour teachers in religious studies at four different upper swcondary schools in the municipalityof Jönköping, Sweden. The results of my study show that the interviewed teachers perceive the value words in the knowledge requirements of religious studies 1,as defined by the present curriculum Gy11, aredifficult to interpret and that the value wordsare not definitive, but interpretable. All teachers use the knowledge requirements in theirplanning of teaching,but also in teaching where they are to concretize the knowledge requirements and value wordsthrough their own examples. Half of the teachers, however, experienced a lack of interest in the knowledge requirements by the pupils, which make it even more important to discuss knowledge requirementswith them, while the teachers?assessment has to rely on these knowledge requirements.

I den här examensuppsatsen genomförs en undersökning av de prov och uppgifter som elever, inom de teoretiska programmen, gör under kursen Svenska B på gymnasiet. Undersökningen syftar till att ge en bild av hur kognitiva förmågor tar plats vid betygsgrundande bedömningen, vilken typ av skriftliga uppgifter som förekommer samt även hur uppgifterna är formulerade. Studiens resultat visar att, även om alla kognitiva förmågor bedöms, är faktakunskap den kognitiva förmåga som främst mäts i de undersökta proven och uppgifterna..

The thesis work of 15 credits has been performed to interest of Norrtälje ElektronikPartner AB (NEP) in Norrtälje. The aim of the thesis was to develop a prototype for an integrated digital multimeter, designed for one of NEP's proprietary test systems. A digital multimeter module according to NEP's requirement specification, such as physical size and accuracy should be constructed. The module should be able to measure current, voltage and resistance.The final circuit was based on the chosen analog to digital-converter, Maxim integrated´s Max134, which is the main component of the circuit for this instrument. A circuit diagram and PCB layout were made. The result of this project is a constructed DMM board.

Elever som efter avslutad grundskola börjar studera på gymnasial nivå, har i sitt slutbetyg med sig åtminstone betyget G i matematik. Trots detta får många elever svårigheter med att klara av den inledande matematikundervisningen på gymnasiet.Syftet med denna studie har varit att genom ett elevperspektiv, beskriva och lyfta fram de likheter och skillnader som en grupp elever upplever mellan matematikundervisningen på grundskolans senare år och på gymnasiet. Frågeställningen har varit:- Vilka likheter/skillnader upplever eleverna mellan gymnasieskolans obligatoriska A-kurs i matematik och grundskolans matematikundervisning?Studien har genomförts med en fenomenografisk utgångspunkt där kvalitativt halvstrukturerade intervjuer har använts. I studien har åtta elever intervjuats.Resultatet av studien presenters i fem kategorier.

Studiens syfte är att leda i bevis att det kan vara svårt att nå upp till de uppsatta utbildningspolitiska målen om jämställdhet i litteraturundervisningen för gymnasiet. Analysen belyser om målen överensstämmer med den samhällsstruktur vi befinner oss i och om litteraturundervisningen är förenlig med jämställdhetsmålen. Den pedagogik som syns och planeras i undervisning och den pedagogik som inte syns men finns runt om oss i vardagslivet urskiljer vad som påverkar oss att hålla på könstraditioner. Undersökningen grundar sig på en tolkningsmetod där översättningen av händelseförlopp, handlanden och texter är av betydelse. Resultatet visar att ett vanemässigt tänkande och vår objektiva syn på omvärlden kan göra det svårt att nå upp till jämställdhetsmålen i litteraturundervisningen..

The main purpose with this study is to describe teachers? use of textbooks and other teaching materials in upper secondary school (gymnasiet) in Sweden, and to discuss the use according to school subject and teacher style. Data was collected in two different ways. At first twenty classroom observations were made during lectures concerning the subjects Swedish (mothertounge), English (foreign language) and religion. Then four open interviews were carried out with the teaching teachers.

We must all take our responsibility to our common environment, we have to make sure that the following generation is guaranteed a healthy and good environment. Swedens universities have a significant role too achieve this. The information I gathered is the basis for analysis and final discussion. The material has been collected through personal interviews with two managers and then I send questions to the employees by e-mail that they responded. This is to get such an interesting empirical data as possible.

Our work is based on a mathematics test which the students accomplished, interviews with student and teachers who are working on this program and the current literatures. The purposes of this work are to search the importance and the effect of the languages understanding in students learning of mathematic in the Individual high school curriculum. In total, sex students and three teachers took part in our study. Tow of the students is mother tongue language student and the remains are second language student. Our study should answer tow important questions:? Do the student in the Individual high school curriculum have the fundamental knowledge in mathematic?? How does the understanding of Swedish language effect in the understanding of the mathematic problems and in the students results in mathematic test?In order to answer those questions, the students have to complete a mathematic test that consists of four parts.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of mindfulness training in the treatment of chronic pain, estimate the degree of mindfulness before and after intervention, and to describe the participants experience of mindfulness training. Mindfulness is defined as moment to moment, non-judgmental awareness. After the treatment of chronic pain 16 patients were offered and nine agreed to participate in mindfulness training. The intervention group took part in an 8-week group-program. The comparison group, not randomized, was 16 former patients.

Studien handlar om hur en rektor och två lärare arbetar med likabehandling i gymnasieskolan. Syftet är att se hur arbetet med likabehandling på gymnasiet kan se ut och hur styrdokumenten implementeras i verksamheten. I studien används kvalitativ metod och totalt tre kvalitativa intervjuer genomfördes. Analys av skolans lokala handlingsplaner för likabehandling och Skolverkets råd och riktlinjer för likabehandling inkluderas i studien. Till grund för det teoretiska perspektivet har forskningslitteratur om likabehandling i skolan används.
