Bakgrund: Alzheimers sjukdom förändrar minnet hos den drabbade, detta innebär att de blir beroende av vårdande. Närstående vill oftast inte lämna dem, utan blir deras naturliga vårdare i hemmet. Detta upplevs vara en trygghet för den drabbade, då minnesstörning oftast förvärras av att flytta hemifrån. Oavsett om det handlar om naturlig vård eller professionell vård är den vårdande relationen viktigt då den lindrar lidandet. Problem: Människor drabbade av Alzheimers har svårt att uttrycka sig verbalt, något som kan förhindra att den vårdande relationen uppstår.

The purpose of the essay is to investigate how the position of women and girls in society can lead to a valid infringement of the right to privacy (art. 8 ECHR) by allowing the storage of personal data belonging to people who have not been convicted of a crime. The essay uses the traditional legal method to determine the applicable law, but is also grounded in a feminist approach in order to enable an interaction between jurisprudence and societal phenomena. The essay revolves around Directive 2016/680 and relevant case law in order to analyze the set requirements to enable an infringement of the right to privacy. In order to be able to analyze whether the requirements can be met based on the need to prevent men?s violence against women and girls, the essay will also describe the life situations of women and girls in society. Syftet med denna uppsats handlar om att undersöka och jämföra hur tre svensklärare beskriver sitt arbete med film i svenskämnet och hur de ser på filmens roll i svenskämnet. För att uppnå syftet ställs tre frågor: Hur ser de på film i relation till styrdokumenten och som ett eget textbegrepp? Hur ser de på film i relation till litteratur? Hur ser de på film i relation till ungdomar? Denna studie bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer som gjorts med tre svensklärare på gymnasiet. Intervjuerna har spelats in med diktafon, transkriberats, analyserats och jämförts.     Resultatet visar på att film används för att illustrera en epok eller ett litterärt verk eller som en jämförelse i samband med tematiska arbeten. Två av de tre lärarna beskriver filmens roll i relation till styrdokumenten.

The aim of this study is to describe how reviews of literature in Bonniers litterära magasin and Expressen changed during the period 1964-2004. The investigation is based on 20 reviews of novels and short stories, which are analysed with a method described in Hellspong and Ledin (1997) and inspired by Halliday. The theoretical frame of the investigation is founded on critical discourse analysis (Fairclough 1992 & 2001) and Habermas´social theory of the public sphere.The investigation shows, among other things, that the reviews became shorter and easier to read in both paper during the period. The investigation also shows that the genre´s style, composition and contents are relatively stable, and that current ideologies in society have a tendency to be reflected in the reviewers´evaluation of the books. To generalize, the reviews thus developed from a poetic genre in 1964, to become political in the 1970s, academic in the 1980s, feminist in the 1990s and finally an intermedial genre in 2004..

Following the wake of the AIDS-catastrophe in the beginning of the eighties, homosexual men or 'men who have sex with men' (MSM) have been barred from donating blood throughout the planet. In this thesis I look into the different discourses at play in the context of creating the legal framework for blood donation in Sweden. Genealogically tracing the emergence of the category of MSM and mapping how the category is brought to use in contemporary negotiations on blood safety, I scrutinize how scientific truth is established within blood transfusion practice. I argue that the rationality of risk group exclusion is contingent on economical grounds, and that the foucauldian concept of biopolitics could productively be used to understand this rationality. In particular, the concept of the 'biopolitics of blood' can be employed in order to understand the reluctance from the involved actors to acknowledge the heteronormative consequences of the legal framework of contemporary blood donation..

Bakgrund för studien är ett intresse för filmens förmåga att spegla ett samhälle och ge uttryck för olika hegemoniska ideologier. Sverige är ett litet land med en liten, till stora delar statssubventionerad, filmindustri och det är därför intressant att se vilken ideologi som uttrycks i de filmer som belönas med Guldbaggar och därmed framhävs som filmer av god kvalitet.Syftet är att genom analys av tre utvalda prisbelönta filmer försöka ge exempel på hur i Sverige rådande hegemoni och dess ideologi avspeglas i svensk film.Frågeställningen lyder: går det att spåra några trender i uttryck av ideologi och hegemoni i studiet av En kärlekshistoria (1970 - Roy Andersson), Pelle Erövraren (Bille August) och Lilja 4-ever (2002 - Lukas Moodysson).Studiens utförande har skett i formen av en innehållsanalys av filmerna med fokusering på deras tema och stil.Studiens resultat pekar på att det finns ett intresse bland dagens svenska filmmakare att skildra och kritisera sin samtid i större utsträckning än vad 1980-talets regissörer gjorde, något som dagens film verkar ha gemensamt med 1960- och 1970-talsfilmen. Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka filmiska skildringar av kvinnor och deras sexualitet samt att analysera och diskutera skildringarna utifrån teorier om genus, makt och film. Arbetet görs utifrån ett feministiskt perspektiv där premissen är att kvinnor underordnas män på grund av sitt kön och att filmens narrativa struktur är utformad efter patriarkala språkstrukturer. Uppsatsens syfte är att i studier av fyra amerikanska långfilmer hitta strukturer och variationer för att utifrån ett poststrukturalistiskt perspektiv kunna föra resonemang kring hur karaktärer positioneras och agerar; en viktig utgångspunkt är att strukturer är instabila och formas av de agenter som verkar inom dem. Poststrukturalistiska tankegångar har även format arbetets gestaltande del där diskuterade strukturer lyfts fram i fyra bilder som skildrar ett sexuellt möte. Gestaltningen har inspirerats bland annat av de filmiska skildringarna och har utformats i samband med resonemangen i uppsatsen.

Min utgångspunkt i denna uppsats var könsroller i film. Utifrån detta skapade jag mitt syfte som var att undersöka hur valda kvinnliga karaktärer i huvudrollen i tre svenska ungdomsfilmer skildrades, samt analysera huruvida skildringarna av karaktärerna bevarar eller bryter mot etablerade könsroller utifrån aktuell forskning. ¨Mina frågeställningar var:? Vilka utmärkande könsrollsmönster går att utröna i de valda karaktärernas agerande/handlande gentemot andra?? Vilken reaktion bemöts de valda karaktärerna med, utifrån detta agerade/handlande?? Vilka budskap landar filmen i, när det gäller huvudrollsinnehavarnas inordning eller revoltering utifrån de etablerade könsroller?De tre karaktärerna som jag valde att analysera var Sofie i Hipp Hipp Hora, Emma i Fjorton Suger och Ida i Sandor /slash/ Ida. Jag skapade ett analysverktyg bestående utav några nyckelkategorier kring könsroller.

Syftet med arbetet är att belysa hur experimentell film kan vara en resurs inom ramen för mediepedagogik för att arbeta med narrativa konstruktioner inom rörlig bild. Konstnären Keren Cytter skapar egensinniga videoverk där dialogen står i fokus på ett närmast teatraliskt sätt men vars historier är svårtillgängliga på grund av uppbrutna berättarstrukturer. En av hennes filmer, Dreamtalk, utgör det här arbetets empiri och undersöks utifrån frågor som har med dess narrativa konstruktion att göra i ett försök att synliggöra olika berättarstrukturer och narrativa begrepp.Metoderna som har använts i arbetet är filmanalys och konstnärlig gestaltning. I filmanalysen har Dreamtalk delats upp efter utvalda narrativa begrepp för att undersöka vad olika delar i filmen består utav. I den konstnärliga gestaltningen har det skapats två filmer.

This study attempts a literature based reconstruction of the impact of globalisation and modernisation on the gender identities in Vietnam. Recognising the explanatory albeit normative capacity of critical theory ? specifically the feminist and globalisation critical approach ? this thesis argues that in spite of the economic benefits of modernisation, it enhances existing unequal structures. By focusing on women in the labour sector, simultaneously Vietnam's comparative advantage and one of its economically marginalised groups, a contradictory movement can be discovered. Notwithstanding the economic development, a regression in terms of women's possibilities to self-empowerment seems to cancel the benefits for the individual.

The purpose of this essay is to highlight the conceptions that exist in school towards homosexuality. My overall essay questions are: What rules does the school have to apply concerning homosexuality? What approach do the professors have towards young lesbian women and kind of support is offered to the group? In order to answer these questions I interviewed a professor and a young lesbian female. One of the surveys that has been made, as a normative order, about heterosexuality in the last decade is known as queer theory.One of the theories that in surveys investigates homosexuality as a normative order is known as ?queer theory? and it is the one I decided to use in this essay.Inspired by feminist research, gay and lesbian studies and the poststructuralist theory, the queertheory focuses on some peoples way of organizing sexuality is privileged, sanctioned and is perceived as normal, while others are seen as deviant, abnormal and therefore unwelcome.

AbstractThe author Selma Lagerlöf was born in 1858 at Mårbacka, in Värmland and died in 1940. Fifty years after Selma´s death were her correspondence released and ten thousand of letters were found in the collection. But it was just the correspondence between Selma and Sofie Elkan who interested people because they wanted to know if Selma and Sofie have had a sexual relationship. Later, in time for Christmas 2008 the Swedish Television shows a film about Selma. "Selma Lagerlöf Society" was critical to the movie and thougt that the movie focused too much on Selma`s sexual orientation.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate the subject field of male vegans and masculinities through empirical method interviews and narrative analysis. The starting-point for this essay is animal ethics, feminist ethic vegetarianism and theories that suggest that eating meat is one part of the social construction of masculinities. The problem formulation is such as follows:How do male vegans construct masculinity? In an attempt to answer such a question there are three problem formulations:What do male vegans think about the connection between manhood and eating meat?How do male vegans relate to the norms in society?What do male vegans think of stereotype conceptions about vegans?I will come to the conclusion that male vegans think that eating meat, as well as drinking beer, is one part of the social construction of masculinities. Male vegans are aware of norms in the surroundings and the strong attachment of meat normativity in the western culture.

In this essay I analyze the concepts security and security policy from a critical, feministic point of view. The traditional way of thinking security is state-centred and narrow with its military oriented threatening pictures and solutions.I advocate that the two concepts need a more feministic and holistic approach to be able to cope with the threats of our time and include the security for women explicitly.To suggest how this can be done I introduce a model; security-sphere, which should be seen as a way to constructively connect my objections to the existing research with a new approach to security problems. The security-sphere is based on two analytical parts; the private security sub-sphere and the public security sub-sphere, in order to make new images of security problems visible.It is a fact that most of the threats against women specifically, take place in the private sphere where no traditional analytical tools reach in - these threats have not been seen as 'real' security problems. My aim is therefore to integrate these issues into the agenda of security policy..

I am interested in humans, bodies, movements, directions and how they affect each other. How we move towards each other or away from each other, inside a home or outside. How we relate to each other and to what people say and do. Co-operations between people that occasionally, possibly, do not work; how certain relationships, like certain materials, can have various breaking-points; that materials can be laden with numerous preconceptions, for instance what they should be used for.Beginning from the perspective of a feminist commune, I have explored the concepts of family, belonging, and loneliness. I have interviewed, observed, photographed, and through living in the commune during shorter periods of time, I have taken part in their every-day life.
