Vi har idag god tillgång till tekniska hjälpmedel för att förmedla kunskap, Statistiska Centralbyråns [SCB] undersökningar från Sverige visar att nästan alla i åldrarna 16-24 år har tillgång till en dator i hemmet. För många av våra barn och ungdomar är det vardag att kunna hantera en dator. Detta skapar goda förutsättningar för ett fortsatt användandet av film i matematikundervisningen. Forskning visar att användandet av mediepedagogik är gynnsamt för språkutvecklingen och ett välutvecklat matematiskt språk är en av förutsättningarna för att kunna utveckla den matematiska förståelsen.Studien behandlar matematiska filmer av den art man finner på internet. Syftet är att studera hur gymnasielever använder sig av dem, vilka parametrar som fångar elevernas förståelse och intresse samt att få svar på vilka vinster och möjligheter mediet kan ge enligt eleverna.

En studie om lärarstudenters sätt att erfara bedömning av ett filmarbete. De utgår från att teknik är centralt men visar efter arbetet till att de vilja bli bedömda baserat på uttrycksfullhet och innehåll. Studenterna har starkt divergerande tankar om betygens funktion och arbetet visar inga starka samband till andra attityder. This thesis describes the new construction of a small house and it includes studies of three heating systems: geothermal heating, district heating and pellet. The purpose of this thesis is to project a small house which can manage Building Regulations, BBR conditions and then examine three possible heating systems for the small house. This thesis is a literature study which gives an understanding of the heating systems technical structure, properties and costs. An empirical study completes the literature study by giving a deeper understanding of district heating costs and pellet costs. The empirical study contains two interviews, one of which was conducted in a district heating corporation and the other interview was conducted in a pellet corporation.

This thesis contains a wider discussion on the analytical framework of classstudies in political science. This essay explores to what extent the Swedish language version of Google Images meets the usability requirements of average everyday users. Previously published studies on user behaviour and users? interface and search option preferences define the usability requirements, which are matched against Google Images? actual interface and search options. The retrieval method of Google Images is also briefly discussed, and users? opinions about Google Images too, as they come across in the previously published user studies.The findings are that Google Images lack some of the things that users ask for, but it still seems to be the most used image search engine among average internet users and more appreciated than other search engines.

This study is based on interviews with six students from Stockholm that have shared their feelings/opinions about how they experience their identity as a student. The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine how the identity of students is constructed but also how the post modern society affects the life that the students are living. With a higher demand on education and responsibility of making the right decisions, the student?s main concern is not only her studies, but also the goal to succeed in her life.

Vi har skrivit detta arbete med syftet att ta reda på vilka attityder några lärare och elever har till olika typer av mediala texter. Metoden vi valde att använda oss av var intervjuer. De intervjuade var dels åtta elever i årskurs 4-6 och dels tre lärare som undervisade i samtliga av dessa årskurser Vi kom fram till att böcker är den medieform som används mest i undervisningen men att även andra medier, speciellt film, tycks vara någonting som lärare och elever vill ha mer av i undervisningen. Dessa medier har, under undersökningens gång, visat sig användas på olika sätt och med olika syften, till exempel brukar film användas när ett nytt tema introducerades. Intervjuerna visade att samtliga informanter uppskattar en varierad medieanvändning och anser att det på olika sätt gynnar inlärningen. De slutsatser vi kunnat dra efter att ha analyserat det inspelade intervjumaterialet är att olika typer av mediala texter förvisso värderas högt av både lärare och elever, men användningen av dessa speglar inte alltid dessa värderingar.

When building a house or similar the stress on the ground increases and deformations can arise. The deformations create a foundation that the building is not constructed for and damages on the building arise. The increased stress on the ground can be derived back to the building, but it is possible that the increased stress may well derive from different sources such as other buildings or trees.       The building is an older property, built in the late 19th century alternatively early 20th century, and is today used for rental housing and has suffered severe damages due to subsidence. The goal of the thesis is to find possible causes for these subsidences. The thesis was executed as a combination between literature- and casestudie. After careful studies it has been found that a probable cause for these subsidences is trees. Through field- and lab studies it has been found that the trees has effected the ground through there accumulation of water.

Det här är slutreflektionen för ett examensarbetet Recúrrens, skapat av Mikael Berglund och Johan Cederholm från Medieteknik och Joel Arwidson och Charlie Persson från digital ljudproduktion. Recúrrens är en novellfilm vi gjorde från idé till färdig film och vi kommer beskriva hela vår arbetsgången i den här slutreflektionen. I den andra, reflekterande delen, diskuterar vi hur arbetet gick, motgångar, framgångar och slutresutlatet. Bifogat finns även manuset och bildmanuset..

Sjuksköterskan har fått spela en mängd olika roller på film, i flertalet av dessa roller får sjuksköterskan gestalta roller som ligger långt ifrån hennes yrkeskompetens. Uppsatsen inleds med en redogörelse för hur sjuksköterskan har porträtterats i andra medier såsom TV, litteratur och musik. En viktig premiss är att media påverkar människors uppfattningar om vad en sjuksköterska bör ägna sig åt. Samtidigt speglar media de uppfattningar om sjuksköterskerollen som är vanligast förekommande i samhället. Båda antagandena styrks av ett antal sociologiska ansatser.

I detta arbete vill jag berätta om min musikaliska resa i Norrbotten och belysa min syn på mitt huvudinstrument. Jag vill också ge svaret på frågan: Är munspelet ett riktigt instrument? Det skrivna arbetet är kopplat till en examenskonsert som ägde rum den 15/4 i Acusticum, Piteå. Där framfördes egenskrivna kompositioner i program-, film- och bluesmusik genren, allt för att visa munspelets musikaliska, tekniska och uttrycksfulla bredd. Detta var en produktion som spelades in på DVD och involverade studenter från ett flertal utbildningar.

In this thesis I investigate aesthetic preference for picture books among children aged 3?6 as well as criteria for preference among parents. Through my design project: illustration of a picture book, I aim to put my research on preference in the context of illustration and design. By using the design project as an applied method for research I have sought to answer how one as an illustrator can apply knowledge regarding preferences of the target groups when illustrating for picture books. I have primarily based my research within the field of cognitive developmental psychology, with primary focus on stage theory, and the field of literature.

The report describes the production of graphic correspondence and marketing material for DUCIS(Dalarna University Centre for Irish Studies).A logotype symbol is created on the basis of an element from the Celtic art, and a graphic material thatharmonies with this ideal of style is built around the symbol. A unique visiting card, correspondence cardand letterhead is produced to strengthen the identity of DUCIS outwards.The work proceeds with an international education folder which is an important element in the marketingwork for the MA-education which starts in the autumn of 2003. Two posters, one for the opening ofDUCIS in may 2003 and one for a conference in 2004, are produced. Finally, a redesign of the book coverfor NIS, Nordic Irish Studies, is carried out.The report describes the working process consisting of meetings, practical work and other elementswithin the process. The conclusion is that the work has been quite successful and that this, to a largeextent, depended on an engaged and supporting commissioner.

Today there are many studies that have shown positive results in the treatment of ICT at an early age. The focus of the studies vary, and they target everything from the actual implementation of teaching resources in ICT, to student performance with ICT support. Regardless of the amount of studies on the subject, there is no precise strategy for how to implement, working with ICT, integrate ICT in different subjects, utilizing the hardware and software that is or how it will eventually respond to new technologies. This work will there by focusing on trying to develop a basis for further research and hopefully in the future to develop an ICT strategy at a national level.In order to provide a basis, a comparison was made of ten different schools. The schools were entered into a table showing the similarities and differences .
