There is a common belief that the arts contain knowledge of creativity that can enrich the business world. Similarly, the arts are in need of additional support from the private sector and know-how of business practices. In short, there is a need for mutual understanding. With my background as a dancer paired with my studies at the Stockholm School of Economics I have taken the challenge of bringing the two worlds closer together. By changing a social system, like an organization, it is possible to get a better understanding of it.

Film är ett av de medier som påverkar vår identitetskonstruktion och vår uppfattning om normer och verkligheten. En av de mest populära filmgenrerna är komedifilm. Det är därför intressant att studera konstruktionen av karaktärer i komedifilm för att se vilka normer som är rådande idag.Studiens syfte är att ur ett socialkonstruktionistiskt perspektiv undersöka olika karaktärer i modern komedifilm för att ta reda på hur genus är konstruerat, vilken humoristisk funktion olika karaktärer tilldelas samt vilka eventuella skillnader det finns i komedifilm med i huvudsak manliga skådespelare respektive kvinnliga skådespelare.Resultaten av analysen visade att komedifilm med i huvudsak manliga skådespelare bekräftar traditionella könsnormer samt sociala normer medan en komedifilm med i huvudsak kvinnliga skådespelare visar nya tendenser gällande maskulina och feminina karaktärer. Maskulina egenskaper visades dock vara de mest eftersträvansvärda. Studien fann även att den humoristiska funktionen hos karaktärerna ligger i stereotypisering, överdrifter samt brott mot sociala normer..

Bakgrund för studien är ett intresse för filmens förmåga att spegla ett samhälle och ge uttryck för olika hegemoniska ideologier. Sverige är ett litet land med en liten, till stora delar statssubventionerad, filmindustri och det är därför intressant att se vilken ideologi som uttrycks i de filmer som belönas med Guldbaggar och därmed framhävs som filmer av god kvalitet.Syftet är att genom analys av tre utvalda prisbelönta filmer försöka ge exempel på hur i Sverige rådande hegemoni och dess ideologi avspeglas i svensk film.Frågeställningen lyder: går det att spåra några trender i uttryck av ideologi och hegemoni i studiet av En kärlekshistoria (1970 - Roy Andersson), Pelle Erövraren (Bille August) och Lilja 4-ever (2002 - Lukas Moodysson).Studiens utförande har skett i formen av en innehållsanalys av filmerna med fokusering på deras tema och stil.Studiens resultat pekar på att det finns ett intresse bland dagens svenska filmmakare att skildra och kritisera sin samtid i större utsträckning än vad 1980-talets regissörer gjorde, något som dagens film verkar ha gemensamt med 1960- och 1970-talsfilmen. Vi vill undersöka vilka tydliga stereotyper vi kan hitta och om det finns ett genomgående tema mellan filmerna. Vi kommer avslutningsvis att se det ur ett producentperspektiv och se vad det kan finnas för konsekvenser av filmerna och hur man som producent i framtiden kan hantera dessa. Metod: Vi har med hjälp av den kvalitativa forskningsmetoden rörlig bildanalys studerat våra fem filmer utifrån ett socialkonstruktionistiskt perspektiv. Teoretiska perspektiv: Vår huvudsakliga teori består av teorier kring genusvetenskap, populärkultur samt även stereotyper på film. Empiri: För att besvara frågeställningen har vi analyserat filmerna De ofrivilliga, Du & jag, När mörkret faller, Så som i himmelen och Vingar av glas. Resultat: Det vi har kommit fram till efter arbetes slut är att kvinnor till viss del framställs stereotypt och då ofta på ett negativt sätt. Däremot finns det undantag, då vissa kvinnor startar med att vara svaga under filmens början och utvecklas och växer sig så pass starka att de orkar bryta sig loss i slutet av historien.

This paper aims to determine what is decisive for localisation of production units when a company engages in offshoring. By performing a case study on Electrolux and comparing the results with theoretical literature we discuss the implications for manufacturing companies in general. To facilitate a structured analysis we have developed a model dividing the localisation decision into five perspectives and four geographical levels. We have found that the determinants of localisation vary depending on the geographical level of the decision process. Since all geographical levels are interconnected, the analysis needed for a decision on all levels simultaneously is very comprehensive.

I följande text avser jag att analysera Man of Tai Chi och undersöka förhållandet mellan Kina och Hollywood. Kina blir en alltmer viktig marknad för filmbolag från Hollywood och hur de förhåller sig till varandra på film.Kung fu-filmens spridning har inneburit andra kulturella uttryck, från Bruce Lee som symbol mot imperialistiskt förtryck i tredje världen, till att bidra med formande av nya bildsspråk i filmer som The Matrix. Hur kan en transnationell samproduktion mellan kinesiska och västerländska bolag se ut? I följande uppsats undersöker jag produktionsförhållanden och mottagande av filmen Man of Tai Chi och i slutsatsen kommer jag fram till att filmen misslyckats ur ett kommersiellt perspektiv..

Med denna uppsats har vi velat kombinera våra kunskaper inom filmvetenskapen med våra kunskaper i företagsekonomi, då speciellt marknadsföring. Vi delar upp film efter två olika begrepp, high concept och low concept. Kärnan i high concept är att filmen ska vara säljbar och att handlingen ska vara så enkel att den går att beskriva med ett fåtal ord. Användandet av kända skådespelare samt uppföljare som surfar på tidigare succéer är vanliga knep. De storsäljande Hollywoodfilmerna, även kallade Blockbusters, är ofta i detta format.

Det är svårt att veta hur man på snabbast möjliga sätt kan skapa 3D datorgrafik till film. Detta arbete handlar om processen (pipeline) för att skapa ett troll i 3D till filmat material med målet att arbeta så tidseffektivt som möjligt utan att försämra kvaliteten. Vi utformar en specifik pipeline med hjälp av kunskaper från nyckelpersoner i filmindustrin, egna erfarenheter samt en litteraturstudie. The Volvo Trucks plant in Umeå is a highy complex manufacturing facility where the same production line handles a variety of different models. This require flexible and agile processes with high quality standards. This thesis studies the flow of material through a production line and how Volvo can use their existing manufacturing monitoring system to optimize the flow of materials.The goal with the thesis is to identify eventual problems with the flow of materials and to deliver a few proposals on how the production line can improve its productivity. The theory of LEAN, Just-In-Time and Supply Chain Management serves as the scientific reference to this project. By analyzing the flow of material, performing interviews and observing the processes a few problems are identified.

The purpose of this study was to examine whether a L2 learner could correct or imitate structures of the language that they could not produce in written production defined by processability theori levels.The Informants had Arabic as their mother tongue. The study showed that the ability of correction developed slower than the capacity for imitation and the ability to written production. The ability of the correction developed by the duration of the stay. The result was a confirmation of theory formation in processability theory. Denna uppsats har skrivits i syfte att undersöka hur Nordisk Film, distributören av Sonys spelprodukter i Sverige, kan använda sin marknadsföring för att attrahera nya segment av marknaden. Nordisk Film har sedan en tid distribuerat ett flertal spel, som till sin utformning skiljer sig från majoriteten av det befintliga utbudet på tv-spelsmarknaden. Dessa spel riktar sig mot äldre användare, varför vi ansett det intressant att studera vilka möjligheter detta leder till ur företagets perspektiv. Detta har gjorts med utgångspunkt ur etablerade teorier och två statistiska undersökningar vilka utformats i både explorativt och deskriptivt syfte. Den första undersökningen utfördes på ett större urval och avsåg ta reda på generella åsikter samt kunskap om tv-spel i allmänhet och vissa specifika speltitlar i synnerhet.

Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion, OTEC, is a sustainable energy conversion technology that is not yet commercialized. OTEC is a technology that utilizes the temperature difference in oceans between the warm surface water and the cold water at 1 000 m depth to run a Rankine Cycle. This technology can produce electricity and provide synergies like fresh water, air conditioning and aquaculture. A simulation program for three alternative OTEC systems has been created in order to decide which OTEC system is most profitable; closed, open or hybrid system. In this simulation a production cost analysis is performed in order to investigate and decide which one of the three systems that has the lowest production cost. The production cost analysis also analyzes if the profitability is affected by the size of the facility. After these analyzes, the most profitable of the three different OTEC-systems is expanded by an installation of solar collectors in order to see if the thermal efficiency is improved. The result shows that the most profitable system varies with the size of the facility.

By analysing Still the water (2014), Radiance (2017) and True Mothers (2020) by Naomi Kawase this essay will look at her work to see how she portrays the experience of being a woman in relation to her community. Looking into her way of using the camera by applying the theory of haptic visuality allows the spectator to identify themselves in a bodily relationship with the image. By using the camera to closely frame objects of importance for the characters, Kawase leads the spectator to understand the world of the film and enables a more profound understanding of their experience. District heating covers most of the residential areas and industries in the twoneighbouring Swedish municipalities Nyköping and Oxelösund. In Nyköping,Vattenfall AB Värme produces heat in a bio-fuelled CHP plant. In Oxelösund,waste heat and use of waste gases from the steel production at SSABOxelösund is the basis in the district heating system.This report examines the environmental consequences of a connection betweenthe two district heating systems. A broad system approach is used and the focusis on environmental effects in the system.A system analysis has been performed on the result of simulations of differentheat and electricity production alternatives. The alternatives simulated wereone where Vattenfall Nyköping covers the base load in the joint district heatingsystem and two where the power plant at SSAB Oxelösund supplies the heatbase load.The conclusion in this report is that the consequences of connecting the twodistrict heating systems can be both positive and negative, depending onsystem boundaries and on the environmental focus.

The organic farmland is increasing all the time and the goal is that 15 % of the Swedish farmland will be in organic production in year 2010. The organic production needs new and more effective ways to control weeds, and there is the row harrowing coming as a good complement to the conventional weed harrowing. In this experiment is weed harrowing whit different row spaces and row harrowing with a spacing of 25 cm compared. Then are the weed picked and the weight taken of them. The yield is compared in the 7 different ways of treatment. The results is not showing any significant differences in yield even when the row spacing is 25 cm instead of 12,5 cm. Even the spring wheat that is a sensitive crop and has bad tillering is doing well in this experiment. Now with modern technology where the row harrow is controlled by a camera that making the row harrow to follow the rows is it the soil coverage of the crop that is the limit for the speed.
