The aim with this master's thesis is to describe the work process with the graduation film Player, by a composers perspective and given conditions. It provides a detailed insight into how the work was done from the script stage to the end result, scene by scene reflecting about both the musical performance and the collaboration between the director and me as a composer. The work was done during the spring term of 2012 at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts..

My problem comes out of the bigger question ?why the Catholic church is featured in horror films whenever a religious organization is in one?? I have detected in the horror films that I've seen that when a religious organization is in a horror movie it's the Catholic church that gets to act as church and religion. I have chosen the following problem: How is the Catholic church presented in the horror movies The Exorcist and The Rite, and how can one understand these presentations from a role theoretic perspective?Since role theory has it's background in the world of the theater with it's actors and roles, it came naturally to use role theory, and specifically Goffmans dramatic model. I've used this model in a film analysis of the movies.

Beacon AB has been producing Gobos for some time. A Gobo is a small round sheet used in projectors almost like a slide. It is used mostly in the commercial and entertainment business. Today these Gobos are created by using a film (also called mask). A digital exposure machine called LIOS has been developed to make it possible to create Gobos using direct exposure.

Det här examensarbetet har syftat till att svara på hur filmen används som undervisningsverktyg och hur lärare ser på filmen som en del av deras undervisning och arbetsmetoder. Fokus låg på gymnasieskolan och framför allt ämnena Svenska och Engelska. Fem lärare intervjuades utifrån tre olika teman (synen på filmen som undervisningsverktyg, arbetsmetoder samt pedagogiska mål) och de resultat som framgick ställdes sedan mot tidigare forskning för att se skillnader, likheter och gemensamma nämnare. Intervjusvaren och tidigare studier visade sig vara i stort sett enhetliga, med liknande svar och tankar kring filmmediet i gymnasieskolans värld. Det framgick framför allt att filmen som medium ses som underlägset litteraturen och att använda film i undervisningssituationer anses vara ett ganska ?ofint? arbetssätt.

Efter att ha gjort en del research om vampyrer, så märkte jag att de ibland kopplats ihop med varulvar, främst inom film men även i en del litteratur. Dock kunde jag inte hitta så mycket skrivet om deras myters sammankoppling, vilket gjorde att jag fick idén till den här uppsatsen. Syftet med min uppsats är att undersöka hur myter skapas i film, vilket jag gjorde genom en undersökning om hur myterna om varulvar och vampyrer gestaltas i Underworld-filmerna, med fokus på tematiken kring det djuriska och mänskliga. Även om dessa filmer bygger mycket på action, snygga effekter och läskiga monster så finns det ändå en underliggande story som går att koppla till djupare saker. Jag kom fram till att Underworld-filmerna gestaltar vampyrerna som mer mänskliga och varulvarna mer djuriska.

Politics in today's society unfolding more and more in the media, but the media content is limited. Therefore, the media must constantly make choices, choices which are specific to each object. The purpose of this study is to examine how Olof Palme is portrayed as a politician and private individual in the documentary film Palme - älskad och hatad, and also how Carl Bildt is portrayed as a politician and private individual in the documentary film Bildt - excellensen.To study the documentary films I use a qualitative textual analysis with a focus on a narrative analysis. In the narrative analysis, I have been inspired by the categoricalcontent- based approach to study the documentary films. In my analysis, with the help of theories of mediatization of politics, documentaries and stories, I interpret and analyze the films to make them more understandable.The conclusions of the study is that Palme in his role as a politician is portrayed as a humane person who cares about the individual.

Film is a medium which is mainly used for entertainment. It is a medium that is constantly expanding, and beside from it being a relaxing activity it can also be used for educational purposes. This is an aspect of film that should be valued, since it has the possibility to engage, educate and move its viewers. This is a study which aim is to analyze how employees within the care of disabled in Umeå have perceived educational movies. The movies that the staff has watched are a part of a basic training program, which all employees are required to fulfill.

In my work as speech and language pathologist I often meet people emerging from coma andtheir experiences intrigue me. Coma is an eluding human condition that offers a challenge formodern science and our view on body and mind. In my Master project in Creative Writing Iwanted to try to enter this zone that is so hard for a clinician to reach: the personal experienceof being in a coma. By writing HUSK MIDAS I have tried to create a realistic fiction based onresearch on coma state and real-life stories of people waking up from coma.In my exploration of the coma state I found that lucid dreaming is common apart fromdreaming, many patients experience sensory inputs like sound and touch which aremisinterpreted and woven into dreams and creating a feeling of confusion and fear.Coma is a frequent theme in literature and film but is often depicted unrealistically andmisleadingly. A few works like Artur Lundkvist?s Journeys in Dream and Imagination andthe film The Descendents by Alexander Payne show a more reality based fiction.

Projektet och examinationen är uppdelad i två delar. En reflekterande del och en produktion. Den reflekterande delen handlar om att vi ska få svar på de frågor vi ställde oss innan projektets start. Dessa frågor (se projektplanen) ska vi nu ha ett svar på samt att vi nu ska kritiskt granska vår process samt arbete. Vi måste också kunna svara på frågan om vi uppnådde de mål som vi satte upp i starten av projektet.

Syftet med uppsatsen är undersöka hur ondskan framställs i Harry Potterfilmerna och att förbereda ett material som kan användas i religionsundervisning på grundskolans senare del och gymnasiet för att få till stånd en diskussion om ondska med elever.För att uppfylla mitt syfte tänker jag svara på följande frågor:1. Hur vet man som tittare vilka som är onda? Vad finns det för ondskemarkörer i filmerna? Vilka gärningar, dialoger, miljöer och färger visar vem som är ond?2. Hur kan man använda Harry Potterfilmerna i religionsundervisning på grundskolans senare del och på gymnasiet?I Harry Potterfilmerna har Voldemort valt den onda sidan för att få makt.

Mitt masterprojekt i utbildningen Musikalisk Design var att komponera musik till fem stycken dokumenta?rfilmer gjorda av avga?ngseleverna pa? StDH (Stockholms Dramatiska Ho?gskola). Filmerna var alltsa? a?ven deras examensprojekt. Tva? av filmerna komponerade jag musik till sja?lv och till de resterande tre filmerna komponerade jag musiken tillsammans med min klasskompis Eirik Røland.

Syfte:Mitt syfte med denna uppsats är att ta reda på hur Pippi Långstrump, Tommy samt Annika framställs i dessa två filmer genom en jämförelse mellan de tecknade respektive otecknade karaktärerna.Detta syfte tänker jag uppfylla genom följande frågeställningar:Vilken bild ges av Pippi Långstrump i livefilmen jämfört med den nyare tecknade versionen? Vilka skillnader och likheter finns det? Stämmer den tecknade Pippi-bilden bättre överens med dagens barnkultur?Hur karaktäriseras rollerna Tommy och Annika i respektive film? Vilka skillnader och likheter finns det?Finns det slutligen någonting som man har lagt till respektive tagit bort från liveversionen i den tecknade versionen när det gäller äventyr som Pippi hamnar i? I så fall vad/vilka?Metod:Jag har i denna uppsats använt mig av en kvalitativ metod. Syftet med en kvalitativ metod är att få en djupare kunskap än den som ges med kvantitativa metoder. Det finns dock en mängd olika former av kvalitativ metod och det är vanligt att man som forskare gör egna tillämpningar och tolkningar av metoden. Jag har gjort en jämförande film- och innehållsanalys av filmerna Pippi Långstrump flyttar in som liveversion respektive tecknad version.

The newspaper was the main source of the news reporting with the mobile phone camera film from the occurance and led the way of the news reporting in Sweden about three party members.The paper investigates how the story telling of the so called SD-scandal was constructed, using Critical Discourse Analysis as the analysis method combined with selected parts from the analysis method of critical linguistics. The theories that have been used to establish the results of the analysis are Critical Discourse as a theory based on Norman Fairclough and Teun A. van Dijks theoretical keystones combined with Sigurd Allerns and Ester Pollacks theories and schematic point of view on the constructions of political scandals in media.With the theories and analysis methods above mentioned the results turned out to confirm the theory about how political scandals in media are constructed and designed with certain strategies and agenda.
