Den här uppsatsen är en undersökning av eventkulturen i det regionala resurscentrumet Film i Skåne.Uppsatsens teoretiska utgångspunkter är befintlig forskning om den svenska filmproduktionens regionalisering, vilken är en förutsättning för Film i Skånes hela verksamhet, samt forskning om filmfestivalernas funktion för enskilda filmer och dess ursprungsland/region. Syftet med uppsatsen är att ta reda på hur eventkulturen främjar Film i Skånes verksamhet och vad eller vilka som gynnas av verksamhetens eventkultur.Tre stycken former av event som Film i Skåne arrangerar/samarrangerar förklaras och diskuteras i en analys med syftet att ta reda på hur eventkulturen fungerar och verkar. De utvalda eventen är CineSkåne, M:Dox och Filmbar. Med hjälp av de teoretiska utgångspunkterna utreds eventens funktion i Film i Skånes verksamhet.I slutdiskussionen argumenteras det för att eventkulturen i Film i Skånes verksamhet blir ett verktyg för att stärka sin egen position i filmsverige och säkra den egna tillväxten. A study on the usage of venture capital within the Swedish film industry.Author: Tobias MagnussonSupervisors: Ahmad Ahmadi, Clas GunnarssonPurpose: The purpose with this thesis is to complement the research on procurement of capital within the Swedish film industry.Methodology: The primarily research method that have been used to gather material is qualitative interviews, that has been performed with four individuals that are active in the Swedish film industry.Theory: In order to create an adequate theoretical base, theories regarding investments and cultural entrepreneurship are presented.Empirics: In this chapter the results of the interviews are presented, sorted in several subcategories. The material is thereafter analyzed and discussed in the following chapter, with the theoretical base in mind.Conclusion: The usage of venture capital within the Swedish film industry is relatively low today. Non-monetary values are the primary reason to invest in the Swedish film industry today. A significant risk diversification, together with knowledge dispersion needs to be made in order to make the Swedish film industry more attractive to investors.

This study is a research on how dystopian features are expressed within different genres. The purpose is to discuss films that contain dystopian features in relation to genre and to examine if there are shared conventions in the films that can make dystopia a film genre on its own. The theoretical base includes genre theory and Rick Altman?s semantic/syntactic approach to film genre. Five films from different genres, all produced within the time period of 2000-2010, are analyzed with a semantic/syntactic approach to genre and then discussed in relation to dystopia and prior research.

This paper is a study of documentary film production with focus on the filmmakers choice and usage of sound equipment. Using professional articles and literature have first of all helped us determine a standard for the conventional use of sound equipment in documentary film. Afterwards, by analyzing our own interviews we?ve received answers on how filmmakers relate to the conventional usage and why they select equipment as they do. Thereafter, we describe a technical method which helps a filmmaker to be able to record sound for documentary film on his/her own, using simple measures without reducing quality.

The purpose of this paper has been to examine various ethnic stereotypes in two Swedish film adaptations of Astrid Lindgren?s character Pippi Longstocking. I have used a semiotic content analysis and postcolonial theory to investigate: 1) how the ethnic groups are represented in the different materials, 2) if there is a hegemonic relationship between the foreign group and one?s own group, 3) whether there has been a "decolonization" during the twenty years that separate the two films. This study has shown that, in the 1949 adaptation, primarily Africans were produced in a negative light and as biologically inferior in relation to the whites.

This essay investigates the relationship between Mildred and her daughter Veda in James M. Cains novel Mildred Pierce (1941). The purpose of the investigation is to point out how the relationship is portrayed in the film from 1945, and the TV-series from 2011. To facilitate the analysis I apply adaptation theorist Thomas Leicht?s list of ten different adaptation strategies to conclude the possible effects these strategies may have had on the relationship portrait and the themes of the novel.

An analysis was to be made of how love between teenagers as well as the heterosexual relationship in general was depicted in each of the films and further investigate the gender construction in both films.Material/method: With the intention of narrowing down the complexity and make the evaluation more lucid 5 scenes from each film were used for comparison, these were chosen through the Anglo Saxon dramaturgy. To make the scenes more comparable 4 factors were used for analysis in each scene, these were: clothes, recreational activities, behaviour and environment. Beside the above given factors the heterosexual relationship were analysed and compared in each of the scenes through the theory of dominance in dialogue.Main results: The gender construction occurs obliviously in the older film from 1970 while taking place in a more conscious way in the film from 2005. Further on the heterosexual relationship is perpetually depicted in the 70?s film with a submissive girl and predominant boy, the same dominance is easily seen in the more recent film but with a higher rate of equality as the girl is portrayed as the dominant character in almost half of all scenes.

The title of the final thesis is Filmic landscapes ? film as representation, tool and practice in landscape architecture. The aim of the final thesis is to investigate how film as a medium can be used to describe, interpret and manipulate the understanding of a place and its design. What kind of aspects of landscape architecture can film as a medium in a design-process emphasize or create? How can filming, as a self-standing act, contribute to the understanding of the landscape and a landscape-related design-process? The thesis is divided into two parts, one theoretical part that consists of an essay, and one practical part that consists of a 11minute long filmic reflection of the ?Glass-houses?in Kosta, Sweden, created by the Swedish designer and architect Bruno Mathsson.

Syftet med examensarbetet är att undersöka några lärare och lärarstudenters erfarenheter av samt inställning till användningen av film i svenskundervisningen i grundskolans senare år och på gymnasiet. Arbetet utgår från det vidgade textbegreppet i svenskämnets kursplaner och forskning och litteratur kring dess omsättning i praktiken. Kvalitativa intervjuer har gjorts med fyra lärare och tre lärarstudenter. Resultatet visar på en variation i sättet att använda film i svenskundervisningen. Slutsatser som dras är att film fyller två olika huvudfunktioner i lärarnas undervisning, dels som medel för att t.ex.

I läroplanen och kursplanen för svenska finns underlag för att film ska finnas med i svenskundervisningen. Det är också viktigt med tanke på det mediasamhälle vi lever i idag. Att använda film i undervisningen är också ett sätt att närma sig elevernas kultur och det som ligger dem nära. Undersökningar som gjorts visar att undervisning om och med film bedrivs på ett annat sätt än när det gäller skönlitteratur. Skönlitteratur tas upp på ett mer seriöst sätt och undervisningen är mer genomarbetad.
