The aim of this two years master thesis in Library and information science is to study the foundation Centrum för lättläst and its work regarding information use with focus on information structures and information needs. The aim is also to examine how Centrum för lättläst cooperate with Swedish libraries to promote the work concerning people with reading disabilities. This master thesis applies a domain analytic theory and method inspired by Birger Hjørland. The domain analysis is confined to examine ontology, epistemology, sociology, empirical user studies, document and genre studies and studies of structures and institutions in scientific communication. The main source material consists of information from the homepage of Centrum för lättläst.

Uppsatsen har sin grund i att studera medias tillgänglighet inom fildelningsnätverk då specifikt DC och BitTorrent. Undersökningen består av en kvantitativ studie av fildelningsnätverk som byggde på vår fråga: Hur ser medias tillgänglighet på fildelningsnätverk ut? Med frågan vill undersökningen göra en nutidsstudie om tillgänglighet av filmer, pc-spel och tv-serier på fildelningsnätverk. På så sätt bättre förstå den nutida utvecklingen av kommersiella film- och musik- tjänster, samt reflektera över om fildelningsnätverk kan ses som en komplett källa när det gäller tillgången av det undersökta materialet..

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to examine the views of the elderly and the caregivers that appear in brochures for the elderly and the discourses that can be found within. The data that the study is based on was collected and analysed using content analysis and Faircloughs (1992) critical discourse analysis. The theoretical frameworks that have been used are social constructionism, critical discourse analysis, assortment and protest, and New Public Management. The results showed two images of older people (I) the elderly as active and autonomous and (II) the elderly as passive and in need of help. The results also showed two pictures of the caregiver (III) the caregiver and NPM, and (IV), the non-profit care provider as a complement.

En diskussion via telefon om hur den första filmen såg ut ledde oss in på ett spår där vi pratade om hur man genom tiden hade använt sig av olika metoder för att skapa en illusion av rörelse. Tankebanorna ledde oss vidare till en fråga om hur vi skulle kunna göra för att skapa något rörligt på ett sätt som inte ofta ses i dessa tider. Skulle vi kunna göra en film som återigen känns genuin, något som är mer än ett par pixlar på en skärm? Anledningen till att vi ville försöka uppnå en genuin känsla var mycket för att man kanske idag har slutat se film som en konstform. Vi vet inte idag hur det fungerar, det bara gör det, och det godtar vi.

Att jobba på ett spelutvecklingsföretag innebär ett annat sätt att tänka på som animatör. Man har ingen historia att berätta genom sina animationer på samma sätt som man har när man animerar för en film. Historieberättande kan saknas samtidigt som det kan vara lättande att slippa tänka på det. Genom att få ta del av Grins daliga animationsrutiner har jag fått större insikt om hur det är att arbeta som animatör på ett spelföretag. Begränsningar är det främsta man måste tänka på.

Den här undersökningen tar sin utgångspunkt i trailern till filmen The 11th hour. Utifrån semiotik och retorik har undersökningen behandlat frågan hur klimathot formuleras i denna trailer och fokuserar på hur vi får kunskap om vår omvärld via media. Syftet har bland annat varit att som blivande mediepedagog få redskap för att i arbetet bland unga människor kunna prata om aktuella frågor och frågor som rör den tillvaro vi lever i. För att djupare komma åt min frågeställning har jag gjort intervjuer med hjälp av en fokusgrupp. Då unga människor är en viktig målgrupp för den här typen av frågor valde jag att använda mig av informanter som är i gymnasieåldern.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the narrative elements in three of the Swedish artist Karin Mamma Anderssons paintings and try to see what kind of stories that might be hidden in these paintings. I have chosen three different themes as tools for this study. They are: the meaning or the importance of the titles, painting as a medium and the narrative elements or components in the paintings. Furthermore I also use the semiotic method in my analysis based on the ideas of Roland Barthes combined with a feminist theoretical standpoint with a gender perspective. This means my study is based on the reception of these images and what kind of message they might carry.

X-ray fluorescence (XRF) detection of heavy metals is a cost- and time-effective method for investigation of polluted areas. Compared to laboratory analysis, XRF analysis is limited by high detection limits and uncertainties in some situations. Preparation of samples is known to affect the results of measurements.The purpose of this thesis is to bring a deeper understanding of how different factors affect the results of XRF-analysis. A large number of measurements have been made with the instruments Niton XLt 700 and Niton Xli 700. Results from measurements of lead, zinc and copper have been analysed.This study has shown that a greater moisture content will give a lower measured concentration for the same sample.

This paper describes the Swedish reconnaissance squads in the engineer battalions, their equipment, tasks and organization. An analysis is made to compare the present weapons and fire power of the reconnaissance squad with an extended weapon alternative. The analysis focuses on the abilities effect, protection and movement in different situations typical of a reconnaissance squad.The facts that are presented in this paper are mostly founded on the new field manual FältarbR Dyktjänst 2007, which regulates much of the reconnaissance activities. Vi ville inventera begreppet värdegrund och arbetet kring detta i gymnasieskolan och ta reda på hur eleverna ser på detta. Vår hypotes är att en gemensam värdegrund inte är förenlig med de överigripande demokratiska värderingarna. Vi har genomfört intervjuer med elever, lärare och sakkunniga i syfte att ge en grund för samtal och dialog i klassrummet. För att redovisa dessa samtal har vi valt film som medium Vi tror att det är i ett samhälle med grundläggande skillnader i värderingar som demokratin hålls levande och det är framför allt på grund av dessa skillnader som vi behöver demokratin. REINERTSEN AS performs expansion and buckling analyses of pipelines using ANSYS, afinite element modelling and analysis tool. In an expansion analysis the pipeline is modelledwith thin?walled pipe elements called PIPE20 which allows plastic deformation. However, ina recent analysis the results retrieved from the PIPE20 element were incorrect for strainsabout 1 percent. One main issue was that the PIPE20 element overestimated the strains.The purpose with this Master Thesis was to become familiar with the theories and analysismethods used in pipeline design.

Bondfilmer har lockat publik i 50 år vilket gör det möjligt att studera relationen mellan filmernas karaktär och produktplaceringar ur ett historiskt perspektiv. Det föränderliga rummet är ett scenografiskt projekt på kandidatnivå vid institutionen för inredningsarkitektur och möbeldesign på Konstfack våren 2008. The thesis work wants to create a method that treats villages in an analytic way in a context; with green, blur, grey and all the other colors that together are the completeness.This master's thesis is made to be used as foundation in detail plannng in the municipality of Örkelljunga. Target audience is on one hand those who work with planning and green matters in Örkelljunga municipality, but also other planners who work with landscape.Literature in the field of green city planning has been studied and 30 methods for analysis have been valued. The method for analysis that has been used in this work is a merging of ten different methods and has included literature studies, sketches, interviews and work on spot. The ten methods are consciously chosen to together make one comprehensive and true image of the village, as far as it is possible.
