ABSTRACT:The aim of this essay is to analyze whether the development of the Principles of War in small states´ doctrine has been influenced by the doctrinal development of alliances after the start of an international cooperation.The author suggests that the development of the Principles of War can be understood through theories of doctrinal development. The theory used for this analysis states that small states depend on alliances, such as NATO, and therefore adapt their doctrine to better match the doctrine of the alliance. Since the Principles of War are the foundation of doctrine, such an adaption should lead to an adaption of the Principles of War as well.The analysis will be made using Swedish Army field manuals as a basis. These will be compared to NATO´s, in order to see whether or not Sweden has adapted its Principles of War following its membership of the Partnership for Peace.The results show that today the Swedish Principles of War are more similar to NATO´s than they were in 1982, which suggests that they have been adapted to better match those used by NATO. Although this essay does not analyze the reasons why, the results imply that theories of doctrinal development also include the development of principles of war.

Based on 30 years of work experience in TV and film production, I have made a phenomenological analysis of my perception of meaning in work - how it arises and how it is undermined. The story starts in my experience of early professional film making in the 1980's and describes how a change to work in TV production required the development of a new professional identity. The text also illustrates how as a female director I have managed my role in a male dominated and structured work environment. Being defined as an exception from the male norm has pushed me towards femininist reflection and the need to redefine my own work role - the generally accepted view having felt uncomfortable. An analysis of structural change in TV and film production shows how market pressures and ways of thought have increasingly invaded cultural endeavour. Professional spheres of influence are weakened, while developments in the media are characterised by a commercialism which encroaches more and more upon artistic, spiritual and moral values. This attitude, where quality is in retreat, has transformedprogramme makers from creative originators into becoming suppliers of raw material in a factory- like process geared to produce great volume at low cost.The aim of this essay is to show how changes in society and in TV and film making have affected my perception of my work.

Problem area and purposeNowadays, 2006, the downloading of music and movies is an increasingly more burning issue. But while the music industry has made great progress in using the Internet as a distribution channel the film industry has been at a standstill for several years. Recently however there has been progress in the form of a few film companies beginning to offer their customers legal ways to acquire films over the Internet. But with this progress one central question arises, which this report will try to answer; what are the important factors for selling films as the Internet moves from primarily being a information channel to also functioning as a distribution channel? The purpose is to examine what the consumers find important when purchasing film, and to establish to what degree there is a substitution effect between DVDs and downloadable films.MethodThe report is first and foremost based on an Internet survey with a total of 383 participants.

This study is a research on how dystopian features are expressed within different genres. The purpose is to discuss films that contain dystopian features in relation to genre and to examine if there are shared conventions in the films that can make dystopia a film genre on its own. The theoretical base includes genre theory and Rick Altman?s semantic/syntactic approach to film genre. Five films from different genres, all produced within the time period of 2000-2010, are analyzed with a semantic/syntactic approach to genre and then discussed in relation to dystopia and prior research.

Syftet med detta arbete har varit att få större insikt i hur en hälsosam arbetssituation kan skapas i förskolan genom att studera förskolepedagogers tankar kring och hanterande av arbetsbelastning och eventuell arbetsrelaterad stress utifrån studiens huvudsakliga frågeställning: hur hanterar de intervjuade pedagogerna arbetsbelastning och eventuell arbetsrelaterad stress? Jag har närmat mig undersökningsområdet med en kvalitativ ansats baserad på intervjuer med två förskollärare från olika förskolor. Som teoretiska redskap för tolkning av studiens resultat har jag använt mig av Sjödins (2012) forskning kring stress i förskolan, Lidholts (1999) hanteringsstrategier samt copingteori. Studien visar att de intervjuade pedagogerna arbetar förebyggande för att skapa en lugnare arbetsmiljö samt reflekterar kring hur situationer med hög arbetsbelastning kan lösas. Vidare förekommer i studien anpassningsstrategier, motstånds- eller kampstrategier samt problem- och känslofokuserad coping som redskap för att hantera arbetets belastning och arbetsrelaterad stress..

Svenskämnets kursplaner betonar att eleverna ska ges möjlighet att möta flertalet olika texttyper under sin utbildning. Film är ett medium som de allra flesta möter frekvent under sin fritid, att använda sig av ett sådant i undervisningssyfte bör ha stora motivationsrelaterade fördelar.Denna uppsats strävar efter att finna undervisningsmetoder som använder sig av film i utbildningssyfte, och att försöka peka på arbetsområden inom svenskämnet där dessa metoder kan vara möjliga att nyttja.Uppsatsen är av konsumtionsart, alltså har forskning konsumerats och sammanställts till ett arbete. Jag har sökt och läst forskning inom en mängd områden som alla kan relateras till film inom skolvärlden. Uppsatsen har inte avgränsats till att beröra något särskilt stadie av den svenska skolan, men en koppling till ämnet Svenska finns.Ungdomarna som idag befolkar skolorna bär med sig mängder av kulturella erfarenheter när de kommer, det är en svår, men viktig uppgift för skolan att ta tillvara på dessa erfarenheter. Film är ett visuellt medium som talar till sina konsumenter på många sätt, att ge elever förutsättningar att möta alla dessa meddelanden ligger även det inom skolan uppgift.Jag har försökt peka ut fem stycken områden inom svenskämnet där film passar sig som ett undervisningsmedium: Filmkunskap, som ger eleverna rätt verktyg för att tala om och resonera kring de filmer som de ser.

Vårt syfte med denna uppsats är att fördjupa oss i och undersöka vilka pedagogiska möjligheter spelfilmen har i svenskundervisningen på gymnasiet bland annat genom att intervjua filmkunskapslärare. Vi har jobbat utifrån olika frågeställningar där den viktigaste lyder: Varför är det viktigt att låta det vidgade textbegreppet få större utrymme i svenskundervisningen? Studien genomfördes med åtta kvalitativa intervjuer med svensk- och filmkunskapslärare på fyra olika skolor. En kvalitativ enkätundersökning kompletterade intervjuerna. Huvudresultatet från detta arbete är att filmanvändandet skiljer sig åt på en mängd olika punkter i filmkunskap och svenskundervisningen samt att idag finns i stort sett alla tekniska förutsättningar för film i undervisningen..

Denna rapport innehåller en redogörelse för mitt examensarbete, Charlie åkerkarusell, som gjordes vid Carl Malmsten ? Furniture Studies, LinköpingsUniversitet, våren 2012. I mitt arbete undersöker jag hur man kan serietillverkaen liten produkt med hjälp av mallar och fixturer anpassade för film och hur mandokumenterar processen med hjälp av film. Jag har tittat på olika filmer som rörämnet och olika typer av mallar för att sedan formge en liten figur vid namnCharlie, som serietillverkades i en serie av 30 stycken. Jag utförde några avmomenten i serietillverkningen med hjälp av en typ mall som jag konstruerade.Mallen, som jag valt att kalla för karusellmall, är inte den mest rationella men ärdäremot betydligt mer spännande och spektakulär än en traditionell mall.

The aim of the final thesis is to investigate how film as a medium can be used to describe, interpret and manipulate the understanding of a place and its design. What kind of aspects of landscape architecture can film as a medium in a design-process emphasize or create? How can filming, as a self-standing act, contribute to the understanding of the landscape and a landscape-related design-process? The thesis is divided into two parts, one theoretical part that consists of an essay, and one practical part that consists of a 11minute long filmic reflection of the ?Glass-houses?in Kosta, Sweden, created by the Swedish designer and architect Bruno Mathsson.

Film är ett medium som har stor potential att presentera gestaltningsförslag på ett intresseväckande sätt. Fysisk utformning, bakomliggande förutsättningar och konceptuella idéer är bara några få exempel på aspekter som filmmediet lämpar sig väl att lyfta fram. För att landskapsarkitekter ska lyckas förmedla innehållet i förslaget med film, är det däremot viktigt att bildberättandet både fångar betraktarens intresse och behåller det. Syftet med detta arbete är därför att undersöka filmmediets uppbyggnad och hur de berättarmässiga beståndsdelarna i film kan användas för att kommunicera och påverka upplevelsen av ett förslag som presenteras. Arbetet är uppdelat i tre huvudsakliga delar.

This thesis will explore how the medium of film is treated in the recently published Swedish textbooks and how these textbooks take into account the four different aspects of Cineliteracy.Cineliteracy is a theory which advocates the necessity of students' increased cinematic knowledge by presenting the four skill areas that should be included when it comes to teaching film in school. The theory implies students´ analytical skills, contextual knowledge and knowledge of the film canon as well as the development of students' skills to produce films. Cineliteracy theory finds support both within Swedish National Agency for Education and in recent Swedish research.This study includes investigation of eight new textbooks, adapted to the criteria for the new Swedish curriculum 2011. The analysis will be limited to textbooks for the course Swedish 1, since it is mandatory regardless of the orientation of the student?s education..

Silage is today a common feed for different animals. A general way of storing silage is in bunker silos covered with polyethylene film. The covering and uncovering is labour intensive and it is often difficult to get the silo properly sealed. Because of these reasons many American farmers leave their silos uncovered and accept the losses accompanied. One purpose of this study was therefore to examine if it sometimes can be justified to leave bunker silos uncovered.

The work has been performed in collaboration with Jönköping University. The aim of this work has been to study different methods for mobile adaption of large CMS (Content Management System) websites, where the website of Jönköping has been used as a reference.The website at Jönköping University is used daily by current students, faculties, prospective students and external users. Research carried out by the University shows that the use of mobile devices has increased, and it is therefore necessary to examine the mobile adaptation of the large CMS website.A layout proposal has been suggested by determining which method that is most relevant for mobile adaption of a large CMS website. The website should adapt to different resolutions and devices according to how the existing website is based in the current situation. Emphasis has been put on menu operations, to navigate through the large website in a user-friendly way.
