This essay is an analysis of the objects made of bronze found in an excavation Västergarn parish, Gotland, in 2010, conducted by the University of Gotland. The studied material presented in this essay comes from contexts inside, as well as nearby the foundation of a medieval building which purpose is still not certain. The first purpose of this study is to present the bronze-objects found inside and nearby the foundation of house 6, and to see if there are any datable objects. There is also a discussion whether there has been any bronze-crafting in the area. The second purpose is to make a contextual analysis to see if there are any differences between the material found outside and inside of the building, and what conclusions can be made regarding the function and use of the building.

The interactive whiteboard (IWB) is to be found in many classrooms in Sweden, and its number is growing rapidly. There is a lack of research of the use of the IWB in Sweden. The Swedish National Agency for Education refers to English research where the investment in the IWB in school is huge. In this study I will investigate how the IWB can be used as a mediating tool in the learning process. My study examines how interaction pattern appears when the teacher teaches with the IWB as a tool.

Projektets utgångspunkt är ett nytt konstmuseum i Uppsala, i området bakom Uppsala centralstation, som nyligen genomgått ett ansiktslyft.Museets långsmala karaktär har hämtats från det intilliggande godsmagasinet och från tomtens form. Genom byggnaden har ett diagonalt stråk öppnats, för att ge möjlighet åt fotgängare att passera genom byggnaden och för att skapa liv och rörelse på platsen.Genom fönstren i passagen kan förbipasserande få en skymt av vad som händer inuti muséet. I passagen ligger museets entré, den pedagogiska verksamheten och ett kafé för allmänheten.Museets fasad är inspirerad av den arabiska mashrabiyan. Byggnaden har fönster längs hela fasaden, som i sin tur är täckta av skärmar tillverkade av sträckmetall. Ljuset tillåts komma in i byggnaden samtidigt som sträckmetallen täcker fasaden och bevarar något av museets hemligheter för förbipasserande.Museets inre väggar består av massiva betongskivor, placerade i ett rutnät som fått sin riktning av passagen genom huset.

Sammanfattning I denna studie undersöks hur några lärare ser och använder språk i matematikundervisning. Genom studien undersöks hur matematiska begrepp och kommunikation används i matematikundervisning för att stödja elevers lärande av ämnet utifrån ett antal lärarens perspektiv. Dessutom undersöks hur laborativa material påverkar elevers inlärning av matematiska begrepp. Metoden som använts i studien är intervjuer med sex olika grundskolelärare. Intervjuerna fokuserar på lärarnas arbetssätt att använda sig av vardagsspråk, matematiska begrepp, kommunikation och laborativa material i matematikundervisning, samt hur dessa delar kan vara viktiga för utveckling av ämnet.

The main purpose of this thesis was to examine the collection management at five different hospital libraries´ children and youth?s section to discern different roles of the collections. We made qualitative interviews with five hospital librarians. The purpose was also to see how the collection development affected the different roles of the collections. We used two theories.

By surveying conceptions of SLU Alnarp?s resources and competence among its students and personnel, this thesis has the purpose of inventing identity, positioning and image of SLU Alnarp. The underlying idea is that the analysis of the opinions of the students and the personnel will provide the SLU management with new ideas and general advice for an innovative strategy for success. Four quantitative interviews with selected representatives from different staff groups were performed. In order to obtain a differentiated view of the employee thoughts and opinions on the university, five persons were selected to be interviewed ? all with different types of responsibilities.

The emerging Swedish suburbs of the 1960- 1970s started out as a utopian vision: a new city for the modern people. Media presented a different view and emphasized the inhuman livingenvironment and the social problems of the suburbs. Nationwide there have been local attempts to avoid this negative publicity by adjusting identified suburban problems. Due to medial presentation the suburbs are still associated with segregation, criminality and social problems. The presentation of suburbs and immigrants affects not only the process of integration and the general public idea of integration processes, but also the individual perception of themselves and their living.

The levels of unemployment are unusually high compared to recent years, and the consequences are diligently debated in media. Swedish safety systems regarding people?s welfare have gone through changes lately which affected the situation negatively for many concerned citizens. This study aimed to illustrate individual?s situation of unemployment within their social context.

This essay is a qualitative study whose aim is to see how to find a good balance between family life and managership. The result could give concrete proposals on how help can be designed to prospective female managers. The study is based on interviews with eight female managers. The interviews have been inspired by the narrative approach with the focus on how these women have tried to find a balance between management and family life and which obstacles they faced and the support they have had. The results of the study has shown that the support that the woman has been given by their spouse / partner has been one of the best and most important support for her to full fill her mission as being a manager as well as a mother.

SammanfattningSyftet med denna studie är att undersöka lärarens val och användning av matematikläromedel i grundskolans tidigare år. Med läromedel avses i denna studie det material som syftar till att hjälpa eleven att tillägna sig kunskaper i matematik. Exempel på de läromedel som förekommer i studien är lärobok, egenproducerat material, informations- och kommunikationsteknik (IKT) samt konkret material som ger möjlighet för flera sinnen att verka. Vi har valt att genomföra vår studie med stöd av två delstudier, intervju och observation. Våra intervjuer synliggör i huvudsak lärarens syn på vad som är viktigt vid lärande i matematik samt vad som ligger till grund för valet av läromedel.

Denna uppsats, vars första frö såddes vid ett studiebesök på Skokloster slott för två år sedan, behandlar barockens stoppningshistoria och en rekonstruktion av Skoklosterstolens stoppning. Målet med uppsatsen är att skapa ett intresse för historiska stoppningar och dess tekniker för både privatpersoner och yrkesmän.Undersökningar av litteratur, inventarielistor och Skoklosterstolarna själva ger anledning att tro att Skoklosterstolarna tillverkades 1708 till slottets dåvarande ägare Abraham Brahe. Som tidigare publicerats av Johan Knutsson finns det skäl att tro att stolarna tillverkats lokalt. Nya analyser presenteras i uppsatsen som styrker denna hypotes. Vidare redovisas vilka material som använts i originalstoppningen, identifierade bland annat med mikroskopering.

Vi har undersökt vilka skillnader som finns mellan investeringsprocessen för corporate venturing och investeringsprocessen för venture capital. Vårt empiriska material består av investeringsprocessen för Volvo Technology Transfer och vårt teoretiska material består av investeringsprocessen för venture capital. Detta är alltså utgångspunkten för vår jämförelse. Våra slutsatser är att det finns vissa väsentliga skillnader mellan processerna. Skillnaderna beror på investerartypernas olika mål och resurser.

The purpose of the study is to analyze what conditions the specific company provides employees to enable organizational learning. To clarify the framing of the study a few quastions has been specified to narrow the issu. The questions that has been used are: what opportunities does the company creat to enable organizational learning and how does the emplyees contribute to organizational learning.In the search of knowledge to the previously questions this study becames a qualitative study with an ethnographic approach based on observations and interviews. This method gives the knowledge that makes us understand the actions that takes place in the oraganization and the shared image the oraganization provides. An understanding for the employees and the organization has been achived after compiling the empirical material from observation notes and transcripts from the interviewsIn the work whit the analysis the empirical material based on transcripts and observation notes has been the main material.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur pedagoger agerar under den fria leken. Med denna studie vill vi se hur dessa ger barnen utrymme och material för att den fria leken ska skapas och utvecklas. Studien har baserats på intervjuer och observationer på två förskoleavdelningar på en förskola i mellersta Sverige. Resultatet som framkom efter bearbetningen av det insamlade materialet var att pedagoger ofta använder sig av en lekledarroll eller närgranskarroll för att ta sig in i leken. Resultatet visade även att barns lek behöver en vuxen som kan närvara och stödja både leken och lekens deltagare.

 AbstractThe aim of this essay is to look into how teachers view pupils who use finger arithmeticduring mathematic classes. How do these teachers help them to move on with their learning,what information and problem-solving material do they use?I made qualitative interviews with grade two- and grade three teachers, in three schools.The interviews showed that the teachers find it difficult to adopt a suitable attitude towardsfinger arithmetic. In addition, lack of time for planning and lack of knowledge about variousexperimental methods caused further predicaments. The teachers were aware that arithmeticexperimental material was attainable at the schools, but time to learn about it and how to useit was lacking.
