Abstract The objective of our study was to get knowledge about how teachers think when they make purchases to preschool. Do they consider making environmentally conscious purchases? Do they work actively to transfer environmental consciousness to the children?We chose to interview nine preschool teachers and one cook in two different local municipalities. Our investigation showed that there was a very low engagement in these issues. The teachers said that they were very strictly bound to already existing public contracts and did not see any possibilities to influence the preschools consumption.The teachers hade no idea that not only their work could result in environmental savings in the school, but also result in attitudes changes among the children, their parents and, in the long term, society in general.

Social media, such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, have become popular platforms for social communication, and, increasingly, also important channels for business marketing. For a business intending to use social media for marketing, however, developing a strategy and building a trademark can be a challenge. This report describes how a small, newly established business enterprise can develop a digital strategy with clear goals and practical guidelines. The report describes a digital strategy for Gelato Scarfó and shows how this strategy is made concrete through a set of guidelines. The guidelines develop a trademark for identification and loyalty, and give advice on how new materials can be made consistent with the trademark..

Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka hur förändring av material påverkar varseblivningen av objekt när formen lämnas oförändrad. Detta kan vara av intresse då spel med realistisk grafisk stil blir mer och mer högupplöst vilket samtidigt ställer högre krav på de grafiska utvecklarna att framställa verklighetstrogna material.Jag har utfört en kvalitativ undersökning med personintervjuer av sex personer. Dessa sex personer har fått se tre objekt där de fått definiera objektets syfte. Intervjupersonerna fick sedan se objekten med olika material där mina frågor haft som mål att få respondenten att motivera uppfattat material samt det uppfattade materialets egenskaper. De intervjuades motiveringar om objekt och material har jag sedan tolkat utifrån litteratur om psykologi, främst om kategorisering som George Lakoffs bok "Women, Fire, and Dangerous Things" (1990) beskriver.Min undersökning har visat att uppfattningen av textur kan förändra ett objekts syfte och funktion.

Syftet med denna studie är att ta reda på hur lärare ser på och använder laborativt material i matematikundervisningen. För att svara på studiens syfte och frågeställningar har kvalitativa intervjuer gjorts med sju lärare som undervisar i årskurs 1-3. Observationer har också gjorts för att se vilka laborativa material som finns och hur de används av lärare och elever.Analys av intervjuerna visar att lärarna i första hand nämner plockmaterial i intervjuerna. Andra material som är vanligt förekommande enligt både intervjuer och observationer är vardagens material (pengar) och skolans laborativa material (centicuber). Lärare berättar att det laborativa materialet används i så gott som alla områden i matematik.

Contents:The evolution of today?s computer influenced society has taken giant steps towards virtual reality, game addictions and the possibility of not having to meet the people we communicate with. What is a reality today?To give a more concrete image of our question we?ve chosen the online game World of Warcraft as an example and to describe our connection to an alternative reality. We have performed different investigations, interviewed both gamers and non gamers, all this to give us the opportunity to see if the term reality has started to change in a direction that will allow us to call this alternative world a reality, or if it?s just a world wide phenomena of for example gaming addiction.

Usability is a way to study how good a website is which is what our research builds upon. On a mission from Liseberg our purpose is to find out if their website liseberg.se is good from a user?s perspective. Our way of carrying this out where grounded upon a qualitative study through observations and following interviews with a number of participants. By compositing tools of method we have started with the theories descriptions of usability tests and we have also used the theories to be able to reflect around and to understand the results from the tests.

Syftet med denna studie är att göra en komparativ studie och undersöka vilken typ av material barn på två förskolor i två länder använder sig av och hur de använder material i sin lek. Förskolorna ligger i Sverige och Bosnien-Hercegovina. Metoden bestod av observationer i de två förskolorna och pågick i fyra dagar i varje förskola. Den tidigare forskningen och den teoretiska utgångspunkten bestod av tidigare studier och teorier om socialisation och könssocialisation och hur detta inverkar i ett barns uppväxt och föreställningar om vad som är kvinnligt och manligt. Resultatet i denna studie visar att barns val av material till viss del återspeglar rådande könsrollsmönster i båda länderna genom att flickor intar en mer omhändertagande roll av familj, medan pojkar visar styrka och tuffhet genom olika typer av krigslekar. Det var dock svårt att dra en generell slutsats, eftersom det fanns situationer där pojkarna valde material och typer av lekar som traditionellt betraktas som typiskt kvinnliga situationer.

I takt med att vi förbrukar samhällets resurser så ökar intresset för att ersätta oljebaserade material med likvärdiga baserade på cellulosa. De traditionella och etablerade materialen är väl undersökta och deras egen skaper är välkända och väl dokumenterade, men så är inte alltid fallet med nya material som kommer fram från forskningen. En uppfattning är att det kan vara svårt att få ett material att gå från att vara ett intressant, nytt material till att det faktiskt hittar sin väg in till en produktion eller till att ingå i en produkt.Syftet med arbetet är att det ska vara till hjälp för de personer som är involverade i ett materials framtagande i förståelsen av om vad intressenter efterfrågar från ett nytt material.

Today, companies work with issues concerning Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). A higher demand from customers and other stakeholders as well as an extended legislation are great reasons. Framework and guidelines for sustainability reporting has been developed which includes indices that companies are able to report. Though, for a long term work with sustainability a functional system and internal tool is necessary. Balanced Scorecard, BSC, is a useful tool and efforts have been made to integrate BSC and CSR with purpose to establish the work with sustainability in a more concrete and clear way.

The aim for this essay is to identify and distinguish the metal casting of Uppåkra during late Iron Age by examine related material that primarily consist of finds made with a metal detector. I intend to, by analysing maps, concentrations in the detector material and probable constructions within the settlement, find patterns that can indicate a metal casting activity. The results of the essay show that a number of concentrations can be seen and that they both indicate metalworking activities and to some degree a structural specialization in the settlement. The exclusive artefacts also indicate that Uppåkra was a settlement with over-regional functions when it comes to traditions dealing with metal casting..

Expander is one of those companies and in this research report we studied communication and brand building, focusing on brand management, relationships and integrated marketing. Here we drew the conclusion that all these areas are important for a company, especially in the Business-to-Business marketing in different ways.

The purpose of this Master Thesis has been to investigate the possibilities for a new type of noise reduction solution that could decrease the negative effects resulting from larger traffic roads. The idea has been to construct a noise barrier with a roof ? like a tunnel placed on a road. The choice of material has been focused on transparent materials in order to lower visual intrusion and barrier effects. This project idea is called the Noise tunnel.After having investigated the current offer of noise solutions, it has been concluded that these solutions rarely provide a sufficient level of noise reduction ? at least not when government regulations of acceptable noise levels are applied.

The construction industry hasn?t highlighted the quality in recent times which have contributed to the construction industry receiving much criticism in the field. The public sees it as an offhanded industry where errors and delays are common.The reason for this is considered to be primarily the lack of time, constant pressure to reduce costs and skills and the ability to communicate between the parties about what the correct quality really means. The purpose of this paper was to analyze fishbones from the Pitted Ware Culture settlement named Hemmor. in Dalbo, När parish on Gotland. The fishbones are unburnt and derive from one specific culture layer (c:6) in trench one VI:7, and radiocarbon dated to 2600-2300 BC cal.In this paper I wanted to answer these following questions:1. What kind of fish species did they eat in Hemmor?2.

Svenska dagstidningar använder allt mer journalistiskt material producerat av nyhetsbyråer. I en majoritet av alla svenska medier upptas också en stor del av utrymmet av material som levererats från nyhetsbyråer. Användningen av centralt producerat material har kritiserats för att både likrikta medieinnehållet och för att minska mångfalden på dagspressmarknaden.   Det finns emellertid stora luckor i forskningen kring sportjournalistik och få forskare har tagit reda på hur stor andel av tidningars artiklar, notiser och krönikor på sportsidorna som faktiskt är skrivna av Tidningarnas Telegrambyrå eller någon annan nyhetsbyrå.   Denna undersökning visar nu att det finns en likriktning på sportsidorna i åtminstone Sundsvalls Tidning och Dagbladet, med avseende på användningen av centralt producerat material. Under två vanliga veckor år 2009 är 47 procent av den förstnämnda tidningens artiklar, notiser etc. skrivna av en eller flera nyhetsbyråer.
