Klassiska konflikter i en ny debatt - Analys av idéerna i debatten kring bildandet av ett feministiskt parti i form av Feministiskt initiativ
Every now and then new political ideas appear which creates debate. A current example of political debate is the one which concerns the creation of a feminist political party in Sweden -Feministiskt initiativ. Apparent in the current debate is that there are two existing conflicts of ideas present. The liberal thought of politics of ideas stands against feminism's demand for presence in the political life. And the other, the conflict which concerns the question of where a line between the public and the private spheres should be drawn.
Orientalistisk islambild? : Bilden av islam i tre religionsläroböcker för grundskolans senare år.
Med utgångspunkt i postkolonial teori är syftet med uppsatsen att undersöka huruvida bilden av islam i tre läroböcker för religionskunskap för grundskolans senare år ger uttryck för orientalism. Uppsatsen söker svar på frågorna: Hur uttrycks en föreställning om ?vi? och ?dem? i text och bild? Vilken islambild skapas utifrån detta? I vilken mån är läroböckernas islambild orientalistisk?Med en kvalitativ innehållsanalytisk metod undersöks formuleringar och beskrivningar i texterna om islam i Religion och liv 9, SO Direkt Religion och Religion Punkt SO 3. Läroböckernas bilder undersöks på två sätt: i vilka länder som avbildade muslimer, islamiska platser och föremål befinner sig samt på vilket sätt de avbildas ? med blicken riktad mot bildens betraktare; underifrån, ovanifrån eller i ögonhöjd med betraktaren samt på nära, medellångt eller på långt avstånd.Uppsatsens slutsats är att det i de tre läroböckerna ges uttryck för en föreställning om ?vi? och ?dem? på ett sätt som framställer ?dem? som annorlunda ?oss?, att ?de? befinner sig på ett geografiskt och socialt avstånd från ?oss? och att ?de? är underlägsna ?oss?.
Islam i religionsboken : Framställningen av islam och muslimer i två religionsböcker för gymnasiet
The main objective of this research was to examine description of Islam in two different schoolbooks about religion. The rapport starts with an introduction of the subject and discusses the background of the topic. After the presentation, aims, and the questions I present my methods and material used in this research. Following the method and material is earlier research where I mention some of the previous rapports and results of researchers within the discourse. The theory used to investigate the text is postcolonial and the orientalism theory presented by Edward Said.The intention of the research was to answer if the books representation contributed to an oriental description of Islam and Muslims and to see how the text and pictures where used and structured.
Vulvan, förlossningen och mötet med modergudinnan : Om Monica Sjöös målning God giving birth
This study is about the artist Monica Sjoo?s (1938-2005) painting God giving birth (1968) that was accused of being blasphemous and obscene in the early 1970s. God giving birth could have had much in common with Niki de Saint-Phalle?s She ? a cathedral (1966), both works suggesting a mother goddess image. The main difference however can be found in the fact that Monica Sjoo?s painting had connection to the women?s movement in the 1970s.
Islam och Västvärlden : En komparativ studie rörande möjligheten till en förening mellan Sayyid Qutb och Tariq Ramadans olika syn på samhällsstrukturen och den västerländska liberala demokratin
The purpose of this comparative study is to investigate if the views of Sayyid Qutb and Tariq Ramadan regarding social structure and religion are possible to unite with western liberal democracy. The basis of the study is the problematizing approaches written by Qutb and Ramadan regarding the possible unity between Islam and democracy. These problematizing approaches are then tested on the political philosophy of liberalism to see if a unity is possible.The result showed that Qutb's view did not meet the criteria of democracy, which wasn't surprising due to his negative views on the system. However, Ramadan's reformist view on Muslim identity did unite with the views of liberal democracy, though questions regarding the possibility of creating and preserving a European Muslim identity in the secular society were immediately brought to attention.The importance in Qutb's view is social equality, unity and submission to God and the importance of Ramadan's view is to create and preserve a European Muslim identity and adapt to the society where you live and participate as a citizen. Qutb's view will not tolerate diversity and one is to keep or convert to the Muslim faith.
Bilder av islam - en läroboksgranskning
I vår undersökning gör vi en läroboksgransknig av kapitlet som berör Islam i två läroböcker som idag används i religionsundervisningen på högstadiet. Vi har fokuserat oss på bilderna, vad de innehåller och relationen mellan bilden och texten. I litteraturgenomgången ger vi en kort presentation om läroböcker i allmänhet, bilder i läroböcker och även hur bildtolkning sker. Vi presenterar även tidigare forskning inom samma område. Syftet med vår undersökning är också att med hjälp av denotation och konnotation, göra en djupare analys av en del av de bilder vi stöter på i läroböckerna.

Va' vad det vi sa... : Representationer av sharia i Europaparlamentet och dess möjliga konsekvenser för EU:s mångfaldstänkande, enhetspolitik och muslimsk identitet i Europa
Muslims and islam are unquestionably a part of European social life. In recent times, however, different events, such as the enlargement of the EU and the fact that muslims to a higher extent demand their rights, have brought a number of questions to the fore concerning muslims and islam in Europe. Moreover, we can see an increasing level of islamophobia in contemporary Europe, but also that the EU has launched several programs to increase both the diversity and the unity throughout the Union and to combat islamophobia. However, most of these programs focus on islam as religion and muslims in general, and such a narrow viewpoint runs the risk of missing important issues.In this new context it would be interesting to widen the scope and ask what place not only the muslim community and islam, but also sharia (an important element in islam), may have in future Europe ? especially when it comes to muslim identity?My main objects are to see how the concept of sharia is constructed in the debates in the European Parliament, how that discourse relates to a social practice ? the increasing islamophobic ideas in Europe ? and what effect this may have on muslim identity in a European context.The results shows that the Parliament constructs sharia as, for example, something archaic, threatening, inhuman and misogynistic.
Den våldsutövande mannen - som vilken man som helst? : En diskursanalys av hur mäns våld mot kvinnor förstås i regeringens handlingsplan
The purpose of this essay is to identify how violence against women is understood in the government's policy action plan called Handlingsplan för att bekämpa mäns våld mot kvinnor, hedersrelaterat våld och förtryck samt våld i samkönade relationer. The main issue that the study is based on, is whether there is a feminist gendered understanding that permeates the action plan. To examine this, I have formulated two more specific questions: - What is considered to be the main problem of men's violence against women? - What is considered to be the reasons for men's violence against women? The empirical material of the study consists of the government's action plan. With the help of Carol Bacchis discourse analytical approach "What's the problem approach", important patterns in the material have been detected.
Den moderna världens feminism ? en kunskapsöversikt om västcentristisk feminism och globaliseringen av nyliberalism
AbstractThis literal review intended to assess and shed light upon if west-centric feminism justifiesthe neoliberal globalization that reproduces the reproduction of inequality in the world.The result indicated that sex is not sufficient to categorize a universal group of women andthat other aspects of social structures such as class, caste, ethnicity, race, religion and ageshould be included in transnational feminism, and that this discourse needs to becharacterized by contextual understanding of culture and power. Neoliberalism has createdspace for personal freedom and choice, but all do not possess the same conditions to utilisetools to attain positive progress in regard to these choices. Furthermore, this study hasrevealed that feminism is subordinate to the globalization of neoliberalism and that thepost-feminist trend could be perceived as being discrepant with a progressive transnationalfeminist movement..
Om leken i nödvändigheten
This study aims to examine play as a phenomena from a phenomenological approach. This I do by discussing a dominant approach to play, an perspective which is reproduced in the context of pre-school and in where the play and learning is in single focus. Using alternative perspective on play, mainly by Gadamer and Bakthtins philosophical thoughts about the feast or the carnival, contents differ significantly from educational or developmental psychology perspectives. I open up for an understanding of what play as ontology can be understood as, and thereby enable second readings. I illustrate this thought by an empirical example from a pre-school context which where created alongside with the children in the study.

Titeln på detta arbete är uppfångat från en lärobok i ämnet religion, Religion för grundskolan senare del, PULS skriven av Lennart Göth och Katarina Lycken. Titeln avslöjar till stor del problematiken om vad vi har för avsikt att diskutera och undersöka i denna uppsats. Vår ansats är att se hur ämnet religion skildras i religionsläroböcker på högstadiet. För att få svar på frågan kommer vi använda oss ett flertal underfrågor, bland annat så vill vi veta om religionerna likställda i den svenska skollitteraturen och om olika religioner ges lika utrymme..
Islam i religionsboken : hur har islam och muslimer skildrats i läroböcker i religionskunskap på gymnasiet?
Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka hur islam har skildrats och hur muslimer har porträtterats i läroböcker i religionskunskap för gymnasieskolan mellan åren 1994-2010. Vidare är syftet att se hur läromedlen stämmer in med teorin om Eurabien samt de analyser som Edward Said och Samuel Huntington gör. Till detta fogar jag aspekten huruvida skildringarna av islam och muslimer har förändrats över tid, gynnat eller missgynnat islamofobi samt vilka problem som läromedlen skapar för läraren. Metoden som jag använder mig utav är sakorienterad hermeneutik och urvalet är gjort för att få en så stor spridning som möjligt mellan olika författare under de årtal som undersökningen är avgränsad till. Den teoretiska grunden består av dels Edward Saids och Samuel Huntingtons analyser men även av Mattias Gardells, Andreas Malms och Mats Bergenhorns bidrag till vetenskapen.

In this paper I study the Austrian author Ingeborg Bachmann?s novel Malina (1971) from the perspective of Gérard Genette?s narrative theory and his notions of tense, mood and voice. In dialogue with earlier research on Malina I reflect over the last scene in the novel, what really happens there and how it matters for the rest of the novel. I give an account of feminist theories with focus on the annihilation of the female voice, the memory as theatre and the folklore tale as flight. The result is a more distinct perception of Bachmann?s skill, closeness and awareness as a writer and her use of Malina as contribution to the feminist debate and as a tool to find a place in the patriarchal world of intellectual, postwar Vienna. .
