The purpose of this thesis is to find out the reasons and perhaps some answers to the problem as we see it, the sickness benefit expiration of those who experience this. By this said we have also taken into account the different laws and adjustments in the long-term sickness benefit, but also major reformation of the security net in the Swedish society. The efficiency of the law on passive long-term sickness absence was added in July 2008, but was later in January 2010 supplemented. The purpose of this law wasn?t only to reduce the long-term sickness absence but also to reduce exclusion.

View of history, nationalism and science .                                                                                                          The study concerns the Swedish, after the conquest of Scania 1658, attempts to induce Feelings of Swedish nationality to the people in former Danish province of Scania 1658-1720. The goal of this study was to analyze 20th century and present Swedish and Danish historians? descriptions of the Swedish and Danish treatment of the native Scania population. The aim was further to describe this historians` view of native rebellious group called ?snapphanar? and which measures were taken to assimilate the Scanian population to Swedish realm.

This essay is about the development process I have undergone during my experience-based preschool teacher education. I write about my internal process, about how I as a childcare worker go from assertiveness and believing in myself into fighting doubts, thoughts and Feelings as a preschool teacher. The purpose with this essay is to make the difficulties with managing new knowledge and practicing it in real life visible, and at the same time overcome your uncertainty in a new professional role. The essay is based on two stories from my professional life where I, in the first one portray my actions and behavior as a childcare worker and in the second one as a preschool teacher. Based on my stories I try to answer questions as what does the individual learning process look like when going from one professional role to another in the same profession? What impact does theoretical knowledge have on practical knowledge?I have used reflection and writing as methods for my paper.

The purpose of the essay is to draw attention to my approach in relation to a boy I choose to call Emil, and how I can increase my understanding of his behavior. I explore conceivable reasons for why he breaks down so often, especially when other children are given attention. Is he simply unusually egoistic, and to a large degree only able to see to his own interests, or am I overlooking the real reasons for his actions.In order to explain the reasons for Emil?s apparent frustration in sensitive situations, I explore the significance of attachment theory. I argue about possible effects of Emil?s parents? way of describing and guiding him, as well as how I, and my colleagues, risk fulfilling and amplifying negative expectations.As the prime reason for his repeated sense of unhappiness seems linked to a lack of empathy, I explore different ways of understanding this, as well as how I might contribute to fostering compassion.

Water constructions - as a design element in public spaces is the title of this Master thesis, with a focus on waters function and meaning in the urban environment. By way of introduction, mans relationship to places is described and the factors that contribute to the reality that we prefer some places more than others. A good place to stay is open but well defined, gives protection, offers a good view and is varying in topography and vegetation, together with contents of single landscape elements like visible water. This study then continues to discuss mans relationship to water and its means for our wellbeing. Despite the fact that people have a different relations to water due to personality, background and age, it?s an element that raises positive Feelings, interest and aesthetic pleasure for most people.

Uppsatsen syfte var att jämföra hur svenska och brittiska mödrar beskrev fenomenet skuld.Undersökningen är en fenomenologisk studie som bygger på ostrukturerade intervjuer där huvudfrågan löd; ?Can you describe a situation in which you have experienced Feelings of guilt??.Målgruppen var brittiska arbetande mödrar som var sambo eller gifta med barnets/barnens far.Resultatet av de brittiska kvinnornas intervjuer kom sedan att jämföras med en svensk fenomenologisk studie (av Elvin-Nowak, 1999) på samma ämne. Detta för att undersöka om det fanns skillnader i sätten skuld beskrevs av mödrarna i de båda länderna. I båda studier användes EPP-metoden för fenomenologiskt behandling av insamlade data.Resultatet indikerade att det fanns både likheter och skillnader i hur skuld beskrevs av kvinnorna i de två länderna.Studien visade att kvinnorna i Sverige och Storbritannien beskrev skuldkänslor på liknande vis då det kom till skuld rörande egna behov, skuldkänslor i relation till andra samt då de bröt mot sina principer eller föreställningen om sig själv.En viktig skillnad tycktes vara hur de brittiska kvinnornas skuld så tydligt kunde kopplas till valet att arbeta utanför hemmet, vilket de svenska kvinnorna inte rapporterade.De svenska kvinnorna verkade uppleva ambiguitet och konflikt kring sina antagna roller, detta kunde enligt författaren inte skönjas i de brittiska kvinnornas skuldberättelser.Kulturella faktorer som könsroller i samhället, jämställdhet och sociala policys kom till stor del att inverka på vad kvinnorna kände skuld inför..

För att kunna hjälpa patienterna som inte kommer att överleva en obotlig cancer diagnos, behövs bland annat erfarna sjuksköterskor inom palliativ vård. Den palliativa vården syftar till att lindra symtom för att patienten ska uppnå en god livskvalitet. Syftet med studien var att ur sjuksköterskans perspektiv beskriva betydelsefulla faktorer för god palliativ vård och sjuksköterskans upplevelse av dessa faktorers betydelse för den palliativa vården av vuxna personer med cancer och deras närstående. En kvalitativ litteraturstudie valdes som metod där 8 kvalitativa artiklar valdes ut och analyserades enligt Graneheim och Lundmans modell för innehållsanalys.

The experiences of parent?s perspective have not been well studied.

ABSTRACT Within migration and globalization the concept of ethnic identity, religious identity and belonging have come to play a significant role in both immigrants? lives and as well in social context. Sweden, as a multicultural society has been dealing with different ethnic groups of immigrants and the way these minority groups perceive themselves to be and how they are perceived by others in the society has also come to be of high importance. By migrating people also change their position. They often occupy inferior positions in the society when they settle down in the new country.

Although research on gothic fiction has given limited attention to children?s fiction, the last two decades have witnessed an increasing interest. To date the focus has been mainly on English literature with a recurring tendency to define children?s gothic fiction as a text corpus separate from gothic fiction in general. As a result, children?s gothic fiction has become isolated and is not considered as part of the gothic genre, neither the literature nor its adaptations.The aim of this study is to view children?s gothic fiction as an integral part of the gothic genre.

Children at the age of six, has since 1991 been allowed to start their tuition in the Swedish school system. Studies reveal that; the first school year (preschool) can be a stressful task dueto the new environment, new friendships and higher expectations.The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze how the teachers perceive their own role in the transitioning process from preschool to school. This purpose required a method of qualitative complexion and therefore qualitative interviews were used. The material is based on four interviews with four different teachers. The teachers were asked the same question considering; the transition from preschool to school from a pupil point of view, their own role in that transition and their opinions on different educational tools.

Hovsjö, residential area in the city of Södertälje, occurs in the media depicted as is a bad place to live due to the high rate of crime there.Purpose and Issues: My main research question is: How do young people view their residential area Hovsjö in comparison with the image they believe consider is given in that the news media gives the area? Further questions of the study are: How do the young people of the district describe their residential area? How do the youth's react to the news media images of Hovsjö? Has the neighborhood helped to form their identity?Method: In my data collection I have chosen a qualitative approach with observation and semistructured interviews.
