The study has shown that retailers in the mid-price segment differentiate their brand through developing a strong company identity around the brand. The personality involves store atmosphere, merchandise and advertising. Larger companies have chosen to lay the responsibility on management level, which facilitates on store level. By controlling the strategies on a central level the company can make sure that the stores are steered in the direction that the company wants them to be steered in, and also that they follow the positioning-concept. The company can also devote its efforts to working with its core value, which is service.

This thesis is about how the front-staff in two service companies experience empowerment. Competition for business in today's society is becoming increasingly fierce, which means that they must find a way to differentiate themselves from competitors. Service has become a way to compete. Front-staff competence and ability to offer a good service is a crucial factor when the company's success is being measured.Empowerment in business is used as a tool to create motivation and satisfaction of individuals at work. Companies using empowerment can create the freedom and opportunities for employees to act at their own intelligence and discretion.

Syfte och frågeställningarStudiens syfte är att undersöka lärargiven feedback till elever under lektioner i ämnet idrott och hälsa på gymnasienivå.Frågeställningar? Vilken typ av feedback ges?? På vilket sätt ges feedbacken?? Vad är lärarens syfte med feedbacken?MetodI studien används både deltagande observationer och ostrukturerade intervjuer. Tre lärare med varierande ålder och tid i yrket valdes ut och observerades vardera under två lektioner i idrott och hälsa. Därefter genomfördes en intervju med observationerna och studiens frågeställningar som utgångspunkt.ResultatFeedback kan vara bland annat positiv, negativ, neutral och konstruktiv. Kombinationer av de olika typerna förekommer och riktas både mot elevernas prestationer under lektionsaktiviteterna samt mot deras beteende eller uppförande i största allmänhet.

Utvecklingssamtal i arbetslivet
The purpose of this paper was to gain knowledge about the conversation about developmental opportunities in the organization, and how a company uses it. The focus was on four different themes, purpose of the conversation about developmental opportunities in the organization, planning, execution and content, feedback. The sample consisted of six people, three employees and three managers of the company. The interviews were conducted by an interview guide, one for the employees and one for the managers. The results of the interviews showed that the conversation about developmental opportunities in the organization was used by managers to make all employees to strive in the same direction, an opportunity for employees to reconcile how their work performance is perceived by their managers, the use of a preparation model differs between managers and feedback was important.

Service Design is a relatively new, unexplored and exciting phenomenon that through an interdisciplinary work methodology designs services. A discussion has been going on for a long time regarding whether there is a difference between products and services. Services are often classified as immaterial, heterogeneous, non-storable and inseparable in relation to products. A question that arises is if something specific characterises the work methodology used regarding service design. The aim with this paper is thus to explain the work methodology when working with service design.

SammanfattningSyfte och frågeställningarDenna studie syftar till att undersöka vilket syfte lärare i idrott och hälsa har med olika typer av feedback. Studien ämnar även undersöka hur elever uppfattar att de påverkas av lärargiven feedback samt undersöka om de olika formerna av feedback tas emot olika beroende på om eleven är kille eller tjej.Vilka intentioner har lärare med sin verbala feedback till elever?Vilka känslor uppkommer hos elever vid olika typer av lärargiven feedback?Hur påverkas elevers engagemang vid olika typer av lärargiven feedback?Tas den lärargivna feedbacken emot olika beroende på om eleven är tjej eller kille?MetodI studien anva?nds två metoder. Intervju används för att besvara den fo?rsta fra?gesta?llningen medan enka?t anva?nds fo?r att besvara den andra, tredje och fja?rde fra?gesta?llningen.

Background Satisfaction of life and wellbeing is shown to be important when the
quality of life is to be understood. The nurse has a significant role in the
care of the patient and in his/her experience of life.
Aim The purpose of this study is to examine the quality of life, from a nurse
perspective.
Method The text analysis was carried out with qualified attempts, of a book,
"Quality of life a challenge for the nurse" (in Swedish) by T. Rustoen, a nurse
who also worked as a teacher in Norway. The book describes how quality of life
is experienced from the patients and staffs view.
Results The text analysis showed that out of the ordinary descriptions of
quality of life, the author found four new themes. These themes where; the
meaning of solidarity, confidence, activity and meaningfulness in the existence.
Conclusion Quality of life is an important word, which means different to
different kind of people.
To derive quality from quantity
The purpose of this master thesis is to present a model that illuminates the important factors when deriving technical information from market data within a company. For companies to be able to become and stay competitive in the market, product quality is an important factor. Whilst good product quality leads to customer satisfaction and loyalty, lack of quality brings costs in service and replacements. To improve product quality, the developers need information and knowledge about what quality issues affect existing products. Most companies gather data from market about known issues, but in order eliminate known quality issues in new products; this data has to be transformed into information and knowledge.
