The purpose of this study was to describe how patients with hemodialysis experience their dialysis treatment. The study was conducted as a qualitative descriptive design. The study is based on six interviews. The interviews were transcribed in their entirety and analyzed according to content analysis inspired by Granheim and Lundman. The result is based on five categories; Stress and requirements, Life-supporting haemodialysis treatment, physical impairments, social constraints and a positive view on haemodialysis.

The aim of this essay is to investigate what is burnout and how women who are affected by it manage their condition. Furthermore, we have investigated stigma and whether or not those affected by burnout are in turn stigmatised.A qualitative approach has been used to achieve our aims with this project. To support our analysis we have interviewed ten women who all have been diagnosed with fatigue syndrome along with studying relevant literature. The main theories used in this investigation are the symbolic interaktionism by G.H Mead, the term stigma by Erving Goffman and different theories on coping.The results show that the majority of women in the study had suffered from burnout due to work related stress and changes in their working environment. How they coped with and recovered from the condition depended on their own activity and how it related to their own support system.

Spasticitet är en neuromuskulär försämring som är vanligt förekommande hos personer med en skada i centrala nervsystemet. Tillståndet beror delvis på en avsaknad reflex, reciprok inhibering och leder till en abnormalitet i sträckreflexerna och en överdriven koaktivering. Spasticitet leder till fysiska funktionsnedsättningar med sociala och ekonomiska påföljder. Spasticitet kan behandlas genom sjukgymnastik, farmaka samt elektrisk stimulering. Elektrodress är en behandlingsmetod som använder elektrisk stimulering för att reducera spasticitet.

Cancer blir vanligare bland människor världen över och flera miljoner insjuknar varje år. En behandling som vanligtvis används vid cancer är cytostatika. Denna typ av behandling medför ofta symtom av olika slag, symtom som interagerar med varandra och på så sätt kan bilda kluster. Syfte: Att undersöka symtomkluster bland cancerpatienter som behandlats med cytostatika. Metod: En litteraturstudie baserad på Polit & Becks (2012) niostegsmodell.

English title: "Motivated system technician wanted" A study of the relationship between two parts in job advertisements". The purpose of this study is to describe the linguistics of job advertisements. The focus is on discursive practice and how the relation between employer and the proposed employee is created through the process of communication in job advertisements. The method concists of two parts: A critical discourse analysis using the three dimensional model for critical discourse analysis by Fairclough and a text analysis inspired by Hellspong & Ledin. 40 job advertisements were examined and the analysis revealed that the majority belongs to the category traditional job advertisement and a minority uses more than one discourse.

The division of Engineering Materials at Linköping University, department of Management and Engineering, conducted a research project concerning Fatigue life of thermal barrier coatings during 2009. During this project equipment to provoke these fatigue failure by rapidly heating and cooling test subjects in cycles, was ordered.Design and manufacturing of the equipment was handled internally at LIU.The equipment was built using a furnace that is lowered and raised over the table where the test subject is placed. To keep the temperature of the furnace a lid slides in place to close the downward facing opening of the furnace when it is in the raised position. On this door there is nozzle that is used to cooling of the test subject by air.To make sure that the equipment can work independently you need an automation controller that can evaluate if movement can occur without danger of collisions. The control system also needs to monitor that all elements are performed according to plan.This degree project is based on a modular system from OPTO 22 and includes the configuration of a PLC that will be supplied with logic and a user interface.The degree project resulted in a graphic interface in which a user can set desired values for different parameters and get information about current values for them.

The purpose of our essay is to examine if variation exists in the way that auditors try their independence, this so called analysis-model. We will suggest some factors that influence the way auditors practise the analysis-model. The institutional theory predicts no differencies since the normative pressure could be expected to be severe. But we found that among other things people?s qualifications, personalities and audit firm?s size and age influence the way auditors try their independence.

In this thesis I based on Fowler?s method of syntax analysis construct a flow scheme which I then use to make a syntax analysis of former State Secretary Lars Danielsson?s statements, in his autobiography, regarding his responsibility in the Swedish government?s management of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami disaster. The focus of the flow scheme is how grammatical constructions can be used in the interest of rhetoric?s to on the syntax (non-explicit) level of the text indicate and place responsibility with or outside of involved individuals. The main conclusion of the syntax analysis performed is that Danielsson in his autobiography in fact does not use very many of the constructions described in the flow scheme, whereby it can be concluded that the syntax analysis in this case wasn?t so ?revealing?.

This essay contains a comparative analysis of Erik Olin Wrights Marxist class analysis and Michael Hardt and Antonio Negris post-Marxist class analysis as presented in their books ?Empire? and ?Multitude: War and democracy in the age of Empire?. I discuss the shift in analytical focus from state level to global level that Hardt and Negri's analysis represent and the ensuing relevance of this for contemporary class analysis. The essay also address the challenge and implications posed to class analysis by the ever increasing economic globalization, from a material production to an ever growing immaterial service economy and the decrease in state power in controlling capital and labor movement. I propose that analytical understanding of class conflict help us to a better understanding of the mechanisms and dynamics that generate social and economical inequalities and that an updated Marxist class analysis still have much to contribute to our understanding to how these issues not only shape our society but also our capacity to counteract them..

SammanfattningSyfte och frågeställningar Det primära syftet med denna studie är att belysa hur piloter upplever att kommunikationen i cockpit påverkas av trötthet. Vårt sekundära syfte är att ge exempel på vad piloterna gör för att motverka trötthet under arbetet. Hur påverkas piloternas kommunikationsförmåga under trötthet? Hur påverkas kommunikationen mellan piloterna under trötthet?Vilka strategier använder piloterna för att minska tröttheten under flygningar; både förebyggande, livsstilsrelaterade strategier samt direkta åtgärder? Metod För att få en nyanserad bild av hur piloterna upplever att tröttheten påverkar kommunika-tionen dem emellan samt vilka strategier de använder sig av för att minska tröttheten under flygningen ansågs en kvalitativ ansats med semistrukturerade intervjuer vara den lämpligaste datainsamlingsmetoden. Sex intervjuer med manliga piloter mellan 31 och 37 år genom-fördes.Resultat Studiens resultat följer det nuvarande forskningsläget. Samtliga piloter upplevde att tröttheten hade en negativ inverkan på kommunikationsförmågan samt kommunikationen dem emellan.

This essay discusses the import of cod (Gadus morhua) in Sweden during the Middle Ages through isotope analysis of cod vertebrae. The isotope analysis is used to trace the cods origin to either the Baltic Sea or the Atlantic Ocean. The bones were subjected to d13C, d15N and d34S analysis; 64 of  the analyzed bones met the quality criteria. The isotop data showed that import of Atlantic cod was significant in medeval Sweden. The analysis suggests that there is no specific time or event that the sites start to import cod but this varies from site to site. .

?Tollarsjuka? is a disease with a suspected immunopathological background seen in Nova Scotia duck tolling retrievers. Pyrexia, lameness, stiffness and joint- or musclepain are typical clinical signs. The purpose of this study is to describe case histories from dogs with a possible evidence of ?tollarsjuka?. 18 private dogs were included in this report. Generalised stiffness, lameness and fatigue were the most frequent manifestations of the disease.

Bakgrund: Att v?rda barn med cancer i palliativt skede inneb?r sv?ra utmaningar f?r sjuksk?terskor. Sjuksk?terskor har ett ansvar att lindra fysiskt och psykiskt lidande och f?rmedla tr?st och trygghet till barnet och dess familj. Barnkonventionen ligger till grund f?r sjuksk?terskans omv?rdnadsarbete inom palliativ v?rd som str?var efter att fr?mja barns livskvalitet och v?rdighet.

I både kvalitets- och kontrollarbete finns det behov att kunskapsmässigt komma så nära verkligheten som möjligt vid fastställande av defektparametrar för oförstörande provning (OFP). Orsaken är att olika acceptanskrav och bedömningsgränser är svåra att klarlägga när man inte kan förlita sig på att uppgifter är realistiska. I projektet har olika erfarenheter använts för att få en bättre helhetsbild i området för defektparametrar och oförstörande provning.Denna rapport redovisar den inledande delen av forskning och utvecklingsprojektet PLANT 2, där olika defektparametrar kartlagts och en teoretisk bedömning utförts med avseende på hur signalsvaret påverkas för OFP-metoderna virvelström (ET) och ultraljudsprovning (UT) i form av puls-eko (PE) och ?time-of-flight-diffraction? (TOFD).Definitionen av redovisade defektparametrar följer i stort SKI-rapport 95:70 [1]. Defektparametrar i denna rapport redovisas i bilaga 1.Vid bedömningen av defektparametrarnas inverkan på OFP-tekniker, har drift¬inducerande defekter och tillverkningsdefekter hanterats separat.
