Our aim is to analyse and discuss Swedish sport federations´ view about talent. We are analysing material, mainly in digital form, with focus on the identification of talents, development of talents and talents in a wider perspective. The first one is about when and how federations identify talents. The second one is about how they work with development of talents, for example, what is the most significant aspect to develop young people to become successful athletes. The third one is about organizations questions, how they work to create an environment that enables Swedish athletes to become great in sports.

Målet med detta examensarbete, utfört på uppdrag av Vectura Consulting AB, har varit att undersöka möjligheten att ansluta en vindkraftpark till järnvägens kontaktledningsnät. Möjligheten att koppla om vindkraftparken till järnvägens hjälpkraftnät, som bland annat förser växelvärmare och signalsystem med effekt, har också undersökts. Eftersom kontaktledningsnätet och hjälpkraftnätet arbetar med olika frekvenser och spänningar, 16? Hz och 15 kV respektive 50 Hz och 22 kV, måste därför en komplett krets för frekvensomvandling, spänningsomvandling och omkoppling tas fram. Projektet har begränsats till en del av Botniabanan, sträckan Örnsköldsvik-Nordmaling.I denna rapport har trafikfrekvensen på den valda sträckan på Botniabanan undersökts för att bestämma en genererad effekt till inkopplingspunkten, samt för att undersöka när det kan vara lämpligt att koppla om till hjälpkraftnätet.

For any animator either working in stop-motion or 3D-animation the knowledge of the first animation techniques are most important. For it is based on these principles that animation today can create such vibrant characters. With the extreme development 3D-animation has undergone the last twenty years it is easy to lose track of the old ways. But with this thesis a hope to show that it is these old ways that will take animation to its next stage. My aim with this thesis is to find out if it is possible to identify the characteristic features of stop-motion and apply these onto 3D-animation with purpose to create a more expressive style of animation.

In relation to the new technologies, the citizens? demands on organizations? communicative efforts have increased. Today?s citizens have high standards regarding transparency, the opportunity to dialogue and have hopes to influence the public sector.

SO(n) är rotationsgrupper som beskriver rotationer kring origo i motsvarande n-dimensionella rum. Vi betraktar här specifikt rotationsgrupperna SO(2) och SO(3), dessa kan representera en fast kropps rotation kring ett fixt centrum i två och tre dimensioner. Att finna en representation av dessa grupper visar sig i två dimensioner vara lättförståeligt då vi endast behöver en rotationsvinkel för att representera SO(2). I tre dimensioner stöter vi däremot på svårigheter i form av singulariteter då vi försöker avbilda med hjälp av rotationsvinklar. För att få en bijektiv avbildning måste vi använda oss av Liegruppen SU(2)..

Detta examensarbete handlar om hur ersättning kan bestämmas då en tidigare oupptäckt fast fornlämning måste bevaras på upptäcktsplatsen. Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka och ge förslag på hur ersättning skulle kunna bestämmas. Då det inte finns någon rättspraxis och området är relativt outforskat kan detta arbete användas som vägledning till ersättningsfrågan i 2 kap. 15 § lag (1988:950) om kulturminnen m.m.De frågor som besvaras är: Vad ska ersättas när 2 kap. 15 § lag (1988:950) om kulturminnen m.m.

Den japanska produktionsfilosofin Just-In-Time (JIT) är kanske mest förknippad med leveranser som kommer rätt i tid och att rätt sak skall vara på rätt ställe vid rätt tidpunkt samt att ett företag inte skall ha några lager. Även kanban är förmodligen rätt känt. Allt detta är delar av JIT, fast JIT omfattar mycket mer än bara detta. Det finns bland annat även en mänsklig bit inom JIT, som handlar om hur människorna som arbetar i tillverkningen upplever situationen och förhållandet till JIT. Dessa mänskliga bitar är inte lika uppmärksammade som de rent produktionstekniska bitarna som till exempel kanban, fast de är nog så viktiga i alla fall.

The following project has been made in collaboration with, Denator AB, a biotechnology enterprise. One-dimensional electrophoreses have been used to analyze protein contents of tissue samples. Tissue samples have been either treated according to the company´s newly developed tissue treatment technique or not treated at all and comparisons between these samples have been made. In order to see differences in protein patterns between samples more clearly, a conversion method has been developed where electrophoresis gel visual patterns are used to produce curves, similar to densitometer curves.Denator AB would like to know if the proteins in their treated samples will change visibly over 48 h when incubated at room temperature. This has been investigated using the above mentioned method.

Train travel has increased in Sweden, and future increase of train transports putdemands on the already vastly exploited railroad net. The increased need of capacitycan be seen in the ongoing and planned expansions of the railway track. One part ofthe railroad infrastructure which is affected by an increase of travellers is the design ofthe station platform. Since the platform is the place where the traveller meets thetrain, dangerous situations can occur in this environment. A number of studies focuson single safety risks, albeit there is no research to show the full picture of safety inthe platform environment.This study aims to treat and put together a compilation of risks for the traveller in theplatform environment in the form of a checklist, which can be used as support inplanning and design of a safer platform environment for existing or planned platforms.The thesis has, through case studies of five ongoing projects within the NationalRailroad Administration (Banverket), interviews with train company personnel andinternational railroad administrators, identified and treated safety (and security) risksin the platform environment.The conclusion of the study is that the relations between the traveller, the physicalplatform environment and the project organisation are important to explore andexploit when designing effective safety measures.

This essay describes a single case self-study of a music composer in order to track the compositional process in real time. In the study the subject and the researcher are the same person. The study builds on previous empirical studies that have used methodological approaches such as analysis of computer-based digital data collection, verbal protocol and video observations. It deals with issues of the compositional process related to for example time consumption, number of artistic decisions, the different roles and skills of a music composer, and methods of research in the musical composition process. During three shifts the researcher worked as a music composer dealing with the issue of converting an audio sketch of a composition into a representative finished audio product.

Abstract CORDIC (Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer) is an iterative algorithm for the calculation of a two-dimensional vector in circular, linear or hyperbolic coordinate systems. This paper presents a survey of known CORDIC algorithms and architectures for the rotation and vectoring mode in the circular cordinate system. In addition an implementation of the differential CORDIC algorithm in VHDL has been done. The implementation is designed to keep the fast timing and throughput characteristic known for on-line redundant arithmetic..

In this thesis, the Train Power System Simulator (TPSS) has been compared and verified with the commercial simulator TracFeed® Simulation (TracFeed). The basis for the comparison was a given part of the Swedish railway system, with steel transportation trains. Primarily, emphasis was placed on running time and energy consumption in simulation results. Two transformer systems were analyzed, booster and auto transformers. The high voltage transmission line, parallel to the railroad track, was disconnected in some simulations.

This rapport aims to examine the difficulties in presenting a complex game in a way that will invite new players by making the game more accessible. We discuss and present our process on how to create an application named ?Digi?-war that is easy and fast to, both, learn and use. Our solution to this issue includes RFID-tags and readers together with four buttons, as input devices. Bakgrund: Redovisning av tjänsteuppdrag är ett område som i Sverige karaktäriserats av försiktighet. Kostnader och intäkter har normalt sett redovisats först i den period när resultatet av uppdraget med full säkerhet kunnat fastställas. En successiv avräkning av vinsten, i takt med arbetets framåtskridande, har sällan gjorts. Redovisningsrådet har dock nu kommit med rekommendation nr 11 (RR 11) om redovisning av intäkter (med grund i IAS 18) som träder ikraft 2001. Rekommendationen ska tillämpas av de publika företagen och kräver att längre tjänsteuppdrag vinstavräknas successivt på koncernnivå.

In recent years, global organizations safeguarding financial stability has started to track commercial property markets. One of the reasons for this refers to the fact that commercial property constitutes a large share of bank lending. Simultaneously, bank exposures to commercial property are extensive and risky since collateral values are strongly correlated to borrowers cash flows. Since banks are viewed to play a key role for financial stability, studying the relationship is well motivated. To better understand how commercial property markets interact with financial stability, this paper develops an econometric model for studying the commercial rental market.
