In advertising, the target has traditionally been aimed towards the product?s advantages.Today the trend is that the advertisers want to create a restless and unsatisfied consumer. Theconsumer on her part is not trying to achieve a goal with her consumption, but experiences theconsumption itself as a goal. Because of this the consumer demands a fast and variedselection.In order to sell their products the companies must create a non-existent need amongst theconsumers. Therefore it is very common in advertising today to use emotions instead ofinformation to attract the customers.
Smittsam provokation: En studie kring effekterna av provocerande reklam och hur dessa kan hanteras
The challenge that companies currently face in their attempts to break through the media clutter has resulted in an increased use of provocative advertising worldwide. History shows that this strategy can result in a brand crisis due to negative consumer sentiment. Despite this fact, advertisement generated crisis remain a relatively unexplored field in the academic world of marketing. The objective of this thesis is to further explore crisis creation from provocative advertising, evaluate the affiliated negative consumer consequences, and to examine the effects of two contrasting company strategies to remedy these types of crisis situations. An experiment was conducted on Swedish and Norwegian students in order to examine whether the communication and information sharing between the target consumers and others could explain the development and consequences of provocative advertisement crisis due to its psychological effects.
6-9 åringars spontana uppfattningar om fast och flytande materia
Undersökningens syfte var att öka vår kunskap om hur elever, i åldern 6-9 år, spontant beskriver materieuppbyggnad i fast och flytande form samt vad som händer då fast materia löses i flytande materia. Detta för att vi som pedagoger skall kunna stödja elevers naturvetenskapliga begreppsutveckling. Vi använde oss av enskilda kvalitativa intervjuer för att få svar på våra frågeställningar. Eleverna fick beskriva hur materia i deras vardagsmiljö är uppbyggd och vad som händer när fast materia ska lösas i flytande materia. Deras svar var till 90 % av ett makroskopiskt, kontinuerligt perspektiv.
Fanns det en elit på Gotland? : en studie om romersk järnålder på Gotland med fokus på romerska föremål
The purpose of this bachelor?s thesis is to examine whether there was an elite on Gotland during Roman Iron Age or not. To explain this focus has been put on the roman goods. The contexts in which the roman artifacts are found indicate that they can be tied to what might have been an elite on Gotland during Roman Iron Age. They might also have been used as means of expressing wealth and prestige.

The purpose of this study has been to examine how customers, by interacting with each other, can communicate and create the image of a brand. We find this topic to be relevant since there are no previous studies conducted concerning the customers influence on the brand image. Our ambition has been to describe in what ways and to what extent the customer can affect and influence the brand image by communicating with other customers. To fulfill our purposed we have targeted three important questions which are:? In which ways can the customer affect the communicated image of a brand?? To what extent can the customer influence the brand image and the perceived value?? Who has control over the brand, the customer or the company?For this study we have used a qualitative approach in which we have conducted eight personal interviews with brand consultants and the editor of the magazine Dagens Media which has given us the foundation for our analysis.
Upplevelser som verktyg för differentiering av snabbrörliga produkter inom dagligvaruhandeln: en modell för kommersiell produktdifferentiering
Dagligvaruhandeln är en bransch med hård konkurrens. Detta sätter en press på företagen att paketera sina produkter på ett sätt som differentierar dem från övriga marknadens produkter. Vi har sett problematiken i detta och tagit fram en modell som ger produkten en differentiering i form av upplevelser som berikar kunden med ett mervärde.Rapporten utgår från metoder och teorier som skapar en förutsättningen för att kunder ska intresseras, involveras och engageras i en produktupplevelse vilket ska resultera i köplust. Detta gör vi främst genom att behandla ämnen och teorier så som konsumtionsupplevelse, konsumentens beteende samt upplevelseekonomin och teorier där inom så som; the progression of economic value, the experience realms, tre generationer upplevelse, sinnen, tematisering, storytelling samt Kano-modellen. I rapporten diskuterar vi även ämnen som dagligvaruhandel, individanpassning och varumärke.Uppsatsens syfte ?att ta fram en generell modell för kommersiell differentiering av snabbrörliga produkter inom dagligvaruhandeln utifrån upplevelseekonomin? undersöks utifrån ett positivistiskt förhållningssätt med en deduktiv ansats och är grundad på en forskningsöversikt.
Ensamgravar och gravfält : olika begravningsmönster under romersk järnålder på Gotland
The aim of this thesis is to make a comparison between solitary graves and graves in grave fields from the Roman Iron Age on Gotland, Sweden. Differences in burial customs, morphology, dating, gender, age, grave-goods and social status are compared between 19 solitary graves and graves in three different grave fields in different parts of Gotland. An attempt is made to explain these differences and to discuss which functions the solitary graves had. Discussions about whether it is possible to distinguish social status and gender with the help of grave-goods are also made in connection to the determination of status and sex..
Konsumenters medvetenhet om företags arbete med CSR
Borglund et al. (2012) argues that today it is becoming increasingly important for companies to work with CSR because stakeholders are more engaged in issues related to social responsibility and the environment. However, much research shows that it does not play a major role how companies work with CSR issues if the information does not reach the final consumer. The focus of this paper is therefore to examine how some of the major clothing companies communicate about their work with CSR issues and if consumers believe that they have the information needed to make an informed purchasing decision that support sustainable development in the garment industry. Our study has among other things found evidence that companies doesn?t reach out with information about their work with CSR.
Generiska strategiers påverkan på köpbeteenden - En studie av kunderna till två livsmedelsbutiker
Due to the well-developed rhetoric and the relative easiness to estimate costs, cost considerations are usually more in-depth than revenue considerations when discussing strategies impact on profitability. To avoid dysfunctional companies and poorly judged strategy decisions it is necessary to develop the rhetoric of revenue considerations.By collecting data from 230 respondents in a quantitative study of two grocery stores in Mora, the study aimed to assess the relationship between choice of generic strategy and self-reported buying behavior, considering differing decision-making processes of customers.The results of the study indicate that a differentiation strategy performs better than a low-cost strategy in terms of buyer frequency, number of goods and cost of purchase. However, due to a poor data collection method, the results are weak, and should therefore be questioned. The study indicates that reliability considerations for behavioral measures should be treated in the same respect as psychological measures, and therefore illuminates the need for new methods and measures to be developed..
?Vi kan bli ett Barbielag!? : En studie om yngre barns sociala relationer och identitetsskapande i ett postmodernt konsumtionssamhälle
One of the main goals in this study is to investigate how young children's identity formation and social relationships are depicted by today's consumer society. In order to reach the goals of the study I also concentrated myself on questions regarding the reflection of symbolic aspects consumption in younger children's interaction and preschool-teachers' ideas about how and in what ways children's consumption patterns are created and developed nowadays. In order to answer the presented research questions I used the theoretical arguments of researchers in the field of pedagogy Gert Biesta in connection with the ideas and concepts of the consumer society characteristics developed by the sociologist Zygmunt Bauman.The thesis' methodological approach consists of a combination of semi-structured interviews with teachers and observations of children's interaction, which contributed to a systematic investigation of the thesis' problem area and served as a tool for obtaining answers to the research questions.The results demonstrate that consumption occupies a lot of space in young children's lives, which means that it greatly affects their social relationships today. Both consumption and knowledge of the known brands prove to be the child's path to the desired community on the one hand, and the children's way to the consumer world on the other (hand), which in turn points to an obvious dependence between children's consumption and their social relationships.The results also show that there is a tension between the perception of identity formation as preschool-policy-document on the one hand and the attitude of the identity prescribed by consumer society norms and regulations on the other..
Gnosjöandans barn och deras framtidsvisioner : En studie gjord på Entekprogrammet i Gnosjö
The aim of this thesis is to study and analyze a village in the southern of Sweden called Gnosjö, which is famous for a special spirit of industrial success and entrepreneurship. Gnosjö has been successful and famous for many years but is now standing in front of several threats, like a growing number of out moving inhabitants, a low standard of education and difficulties for women to make carrier. Trying to reduce the threat of young inhabitants moving out, a new education program started three years ago with the purpose to make young students to be more interested in the technical development of the industry and make them stay in the district and hopefully be entrepreneurs.The research questions are; which consequences does ?Entekprogrammet? and the background of the students have on the students view on the spirit of Gnosjö, carrier in the local industries and wish of staying or moving from Gnosjö. Furthermore, I want to see if there are any differences between the girls and the boys, does sex have an influence on the view at the future? The study is made by qualitative and quantitative method.

Syfte: Att identifiera de problem och/eller svårigheter som uppstått efter införandet av IAS 39 och dess krav på att finansiella instrument ska värderas till verkligt värde. Metod: Uppsatsen har genomförts med hjälpa av en induktiv metod. Primärdata har samlats in genom kvalitativa intervjuer. Sekundärdata består av facklitteratur och vetenskapliga artiklar. Teoretiska perspektiv: Teorin om det institutionella tänkandet har använts samt Streek & Schmitters modell.
Den privata säljarens kontraktsbrott och särskilt påföljderna prisavdrag och hävning: En jämförelse av felreglerna mellan fast och lös egendom
Uppsatsens syfte var undersöka vilka slags fel som en säljare kan bli ansvarig för samt dess påföljder vid köp av fast respektive lös egendom. Kontraktsbrottsreglerna i 4 kap JB och KöpL har undersökts med hjälp av förarbeten, praxis och doktrin för att kunna jämföra likheter och skillnader. Utgångspunkten för bedömningen av säljarens felansvar vid fast egendom är köparens undersökningsplikt medan vid lös egendom är utgångspunkten parternas avtal eftersom ingen undersökningsplikt är lagfäst vid köp av lös egendom. Vid fel i lös egendom är påföljderna hierarkiskt ordnade där avhjälpande och omleverans är de primära påföljderna medan prisavdrag och hävning utgör de sekundära. Avhjälpande och omleverans är inga påföljder som kan åberopas vid ett fastighetsköp.
Under Terra Novas Stenar : en osteologisk- & arkeologisk analys av ett bronsåldersröse på Gotland
This paper discusses an osteological- and archeological analysis of a cairn from the Bronze Age on Gotland. The osteological material consists of both burnt and and unburnt bones from both human and animal. The objective of this paper is to shed light on the individuals who were buried in the cairn. It is also to generate information about continuity in its use and patterns of distribution of the bones and grave-goods in the cairn. The osteological analysis show that a minimum of five human individuals is present in the osteological material.
Den gröna konsumentmakten - medborgarens ekologiska insats
The aim of this thesis is to form a theory of the green consumer power and to distinguish whether this phenomenon could indicate a movement toward the ecological citizenship. To do so, scientific theories regarding the responsibility of companies have been used, as well as the public choice theory, to link individuals as citizens to individuals as consumers. The motives of corporate environmental responsibility, along with consumers ability to bring pressure in different dimensions, are later drawn on as indicators applied to empirical information. The largest producer of ecological products in Sweden, Arla Foods, is employed as case study to explore if the green consumer power can and does exist. The ecological citizenship uses the ecological footprint, to define in what ways we can minimize our part of environmental degradation.The study seems to strengthen the theory, consumers do have a power to make companies go green and they tend to use it increasingly.
